Possible Moon Found Outside Solar System by Hubble and Kepler Telescopes
The Hubble and Kepler space telescopes found evidence for what could be a giant moon accompanying a gas-giant planet that orbits the star Kepler-1625, located 8,000 light-years away in the constellation Cygnus. News release: https://go.nasa.gov/2yc4sCY
The moon may be as big as Neptune and it orbits a planet several times more massive than Jupiter.

Lunar Orbiter Techs Talk About Crater Kepler in 1967
This audio is from a Lunar Orbiter tape made on 24 Feb 1967. In the tape you can hear the techs talking about an image they were expecting to download the next day - an oblique shot of crater Kepler. At one point, one tech says "The Russians said that they saw smoke rising from Kepler but in the medium [resolution image] there is no smoke present." These data tapes are being downloaded by the Lunar Orbiter Image Recovery Project (LOIRP) - more info at www.moonviews.com

A rocket part that's been careering around space for years is set to collide with the moon on Friday, and it will be the first time a chunk of space junk has unintentionally slammed into the lunar surface.
However, the orbiter's mission team is assessing whether observations can be made of any changes to the lunar environment associated with the impact and later identify the crater formed by the impact.
"This unique event presents an exciting research opportunity," NASA said in an emailed statement.
"Following the impact, the mission march 4 2022 moon crash can use its cameras to identify the impact site, comparing older images to images taken after the impact. The rocket crashing into the moon search for the im...

The Moon - Kepler "Crater" Flyover
This is a quick view of Kepler. This is not a crater at all, rather a beautiful display of art. Hope you enjoy!
Kepler is a lunar impact crater (not really tho) that lies between the Oceanus Procellarum to the west and Mare Insularum in the east. To the southeast is the crater Encke. Kepler is named for the 17th century German astronomer and mathematician Johannes Kepler
Kepler is most notable for the prominent ray system that covers the surrounding mare. The rays extend for well over 300 kilometers, overlapping the rays from other craters. Kepler has a small rampart of ejecta surrounding the exterior of its high rim. The outer wall is not quite circular, and possesses a slightly polygonal form. The interior walls of Kepler are slumped and slightly terraced, descending to an uneven floo...

India's Chandrayaan-2 orbiter may also be able to locate the rocket crashing into the moon impact crater, which could be up to 65 feet (20 meters) in diameter, Gray said.

There is a possibility of biocontamination at the rocket crashing into the moon crash site, since rocket parts aren't sterile when launched, said David Rothery, a professor of planetary geosciences at The Open University in the United Kingdom.
"Most microbes will have died but rocket crashing into the moon maybe not all. They're probably not going to march 4 2022 moon crash reproduce but it's a very small risk," he said.

The interior walls of Kepler are slumped and slightly terraced, descending to an uneven floor and a minor central rise.

What Will Happen to NASA’s Kepler Spacecraft?
NASA’s Kepler Space Telescope found thousands of planets outside our solar system. Now that NASA has ended science operations, the spacecraft will remain forever in orbit around the Sun, periodically passing Earth but never coming closer than a million miles to our planet.

We are still in search of worlds where life could be found. Every day scientists find more and more potentially habitable worlds. In April 2021, astronomers discovered a super-Earth exoplanet and a bunch of other possible habitable exoplanets, and now we’re going to show you what they found.
So get ready as we explore these new found alien worlds. We’ve got gas giants to show you where life could be hiding in their clouds, and a weird Neptune-like planet that could be the best candidate for finding life yet!

Legacy of NASA’s Kepler Space Telescope: More Planets Than Stars
After 9 years in space collecting data that revealed our night sky to be filled with trillions of hidden planets, NASA is ending the Kepler space telescope’s science operations. Kepler discovered over 2,600 planets, some of which could be promising places for life. https://go.nasa.gov/2P2umV1

The Kepler Telescope was built for one purpose; to look at a certain patch in the Milky Way in search of exoplanets.
The exoplanet hunter observed over hundreds of thousands of stars and discovered thousands of exoplanets during its lifetime.

Is KEPLER-452b exoplanet really habitable?
Kepler-452b has a probable mass 1.5 times that of Earth, and its surface gravity is nearly twice as much as Earth's, though calculations of mass for exoplanets are only rough estimates. If it is a terrestrial planet, it is most likely a super-Earth with many active volcanoes due to its higher mass and density.
