This video begins as we sail into the harbor on the Sapphire Princess. Once off the ship a head for Creek Street, a row of wooden buildings perched over the water on pilings, which is not a street at all, this boardwalk winds along Ketchikan Creek and was once the locale for all the area's brothels.

When we decided to leave the area the whale attacked the sea lion and tossed him 20 feet into the air! Footage taken August 15, 2014 while fishing with Anglers Adventures of Ketchikan, Alaska on the F/V Sierra Dawn.

I was on a logging road in Ketchikan hiking with my friend when I saw it! Boy did my heart start racing!! It was about 40 yards from the road! Not sure if it knew I was there or not, because the noise of flowing water from the stream. It seemed to travel fast! It made my hair stand up!! At one point you can see a whitish yellowish thing in it's hand! I believe it was skunk cabbage. Not sure, but it is in bloom.
You see it jump and after that point it just seems to disappear. There was a lot of brush and trees between it and I, I could not tell where it had gone. It was a scary sort of exciting feeling at the same time!! We went to search for tracks but the river bed where we thought it was walking was full of perfect skipping rocks, we found no prints! If there is a BigFoot, Sasquatch, or Kushtaka I swear I saw him!!

In Ketchikan, Alaska on October 15, 2011, at 5:30pm a black bear cub walked through the front door of Tatsuda's IGA, a locally owned grocery store, climbed up onto the produce rack and ran all over the fresh vegies. The local police were called and the bear was released back into the wild. This is the first time in anyone's memory that something like this has ever happened.

Creek Street is a historic boardwalk perched on pilings along the banks of Ketchikan Creek in Ketchikan, Alaska. . It is now a quaint place to tour Dolly's House museum, view totem poles, shop at locally-owned stores and galleries, enjoy local art and culture. In the summer months salmon gather by the thousands to spawn upstream; seals and otters are never far away with eagles perched in the trees above.
The Cape Fox Hill-Creek Street Funicular (known as "the tram"), a sort of diagonal elevator, runs 211 feet from the boardwalk up to the Cape Fox Lodge on top of the hill. Take it up and then enjoy the walk down through the woods. The summertime fare is $2, but if no one is around, just press the "up" button and go.

Ketchikan (
/ˈkɛtʃɨkæn/) is a city in Ketchikan Gateway Borough, Alaska, United States, the southeasternmost sizable city in Alaska. With an estimated population of 14,070 in 2010 within the city limits, it is the fifth most populous city in the state.
Ketchikan's economy is based upon tourism and fishing, and the city is known as the "Salmon Capital of the World." The Misty Fjords National Monument is one of the area's major attractions. For most of the latter half of the 20th century, a large portion of Ketchikan's economy and life centered around the Ketchikan Pulp Company pulp mill in nearby Ward Cove.
Ketchikan is named after Ketchikan Creek, which flows through the town. Ketchikan comes from the Tlingit name for the creek, Kitschk-hin, the meaning of which is unclear. It may mean "the river belonging to Kitschk"; other accounts claim it means "Thundering Wings of an Eagle."
Ketchikan's secondary post office box ZIP code, 99928, is the highest ZIP code ever assigned in the United States, although most residents use the ZIP code 99901. Ketchikan also has the world's largest collection of standing totem poles, found at three major locations: the City of Saxman, Totem Bight State Park, and the Totem Heritage Center. Some totem poles are replicas made during the Roosevelt Administration through the CCC, which employed Natives in replicating their heritage through carving totems.

Not sure if it knew I was there or not, because the noise of flowing water from the stream. It seemed to travel fast! It made my hair stand up!! At one point you can see a whitish yellowish thing in it's hand! I believe it was skunk cabbage. Not sure, but it is in bloom. You see it jump and after that point it just seems to disappear. There was a lot of brush and trees between it and I, I could not tell where it had gone. It was a scary sort of exciting feeling at the same time!! We went to search for tracks but the river bed where we thought it was walking was full of perfect skipping rocks, we found no prints! I was on a logging road in Ketchikan hiking with my friend when I saw it! Boy did my heart start racing!! It was about 40 yards from the road! Not sure if it knew I was there or not, because the noise of flowing water from the stream. It seemed to travel fast! It made my hair stand up!! At one point you can see a whitish yellowish thing in it's hand! I believe it was skunk cabbage. Not sure, but it is in bloom.
You see it jump and after that point it just seems to disappear. There was a lot of brush and trees between it and I, I could not tell where it had gone. It was a scary sort of exciting feeling at the same time!! We went to search for tracks but the river bed where we thought it was walking was full of perfect skipping rocks, we found no prints! If there is a BigFoot, Sasquatch, or Kushtaka I swear I saw him!!

For this cruise we sailed on the Celebrity Infinity out of Seattle, Washington and it was an amazing ship!!
We ziplined across 8 ziplines and walked over 3 aerial suspension bridges with a maximum height of 135' above the forest floor after a really cool ride in a Unimog to the first zipline!
Enter the Eagle Creek fly-zone—the ultimate nature experience! Imagine the thrill of gliding through the top of a rich rainforest canopy along a series of eight dual cable zip lines and navigating three aerial bridges suspended between tall spruce, hemlock and cedar trees, bordering the magnificent Tongass National Forest. This major rainforest reserve embraces one of Alaska's richest salmon spawning streams and a pristine inter-tidal estuary. Abundant wildlife habitat includes a high concentration of bald eagles, black bear, and a variety of other species.
At Herring Cove your all-terrain custom 4x4 Unimog will transport you up a steep rainforest hillside to the canopy chalet. Here your professionally trained guides outfit you with state of the art safety equipment and provide a detailed orientation prior to zipping from the first platform.
Size really does matter! Your rainforest canopy challenge features a flight over eight ziplines and three suspension bridges; 6,000 feet of high tension cables and ground-based nature trails. Your guides will progressively ease you into the forest canopy along cables ranging from a short 100 feet to the 850 foot pulse pounding "Ben's Revenge". Guests often see eagles and bears from the tree platforms. Discover Eagle Creek Falls, and cross three hanging sky bridges; all offering breathtaking views of the virgin forest below. You will be up to 135 feet above the forest floor. Throughout this award-winning adventure you will be surrounded by the sights and sounds of the rainforest wildlife reserve.
