In the previous tutorial I've made an Aluminium Epoxy mould that can stand very high temperatures so that It would be suitable to make prepreg parts at elevated temperatures. Why did I use prepreg to make moulds?! 1. A great way of improving my skills with prepreg 2. the mould will be suitable to use at very high temperatures for the prepreg parts coming out of the prepreg moulds (+160°C) 3. tolerances are great on shrink and stress with prepreg 4. I would be able to use fiberglass prepreg but havent found a good supplier till now. 5. The easypreg gives perfect finish for out of autoclave moulding and parts. Video Transcript: This video is an overview of the daily and weekly maintenance of your autoclave. However always refer to the appropriate technical documentation for the complete list of instructions, safety alerts and sequence of procedures before conducting any service or maintenance operations. Your Midmark autoclave will provide many years of trouble-free service if recommendations for periodic maintenance are carefully followed. Recommended maintenance is easy to do and it takes very little time. If the recommended maintenance is not performed mineral deposits and corrosion can build up on the internal components resulting in operational problems, downtime and service fees. One of the most important steps you can take to prevent problems with your autoclave is to ensure that only distilled water, not tap water, is used in your autoclave. Since the autoclave operates with high water temperatures any minerals dissolved in the water will leave mineral deposits. This can prevent valves from opening or closing properly. It can also lead to corrosion in the chamber and tubing. To ensure proper operation and maximum sterilization life, the M9 and M11 provide the operator with maintenance reminders on the display screen. The reminders are removed from the display once a cycle is starting. The exterior of the autoclave should be wiped down each day. Use only quaternary disinfectants to disinfect the unit. Do not use alcohol or bleach based cleaners. The door gasket and door dam gasket should be inspected for damage. When the inspection is complete wipe with a damp cloth. If the autoclave processes instruments that have been lubricated or dipped in dental milk, the autoclave must be drained and refilled with distilled water every day. This prevents other items from being contaminated with the residue from these fluids. It also prevents excessive residue build-up from damaging the unit seals. Every seven days the autoclave will automatically display the "perform weekly maintenance" message. Weekly maintenance consists of two operations: changing the water in the unit and cleaning. After disconnecting the upper portion of the water level indicator bend it downward and let the reservoir drain in a suitable container, a bucket, for example. Remove the trays and rack from the autoclave. To remove the tray rack use a screwdriver and pry the tray up, while pulling the tray rack and plate out of the chamber. After removing the trays and rack from the autoclave, clean the trays and the inside of the chamber with distilled water and speed clean or mild soap. Bleaching agents and abrasives can damage metal surfaces and should never be used to clean the autoclave chamber. This includes steel wool, scouring powder, bleach or wire brushes. To install the tray rack and plate back in the unit, insert the tray rack into the tray plate. Press down on the tray rack while sliding it into the chamber. Refill the reservoir with distilled water until the water level indicator is in the green area. The "perform weekly maintenance" message will go away during your next sterilization cycle. AGGIORNAMENTO: come mi ha fatto notare l'utente DALMAZIO CASULA ho dimenticato di dire che c'è un'altra valvola (la vediamo subito dopo la chiave d'arresto rossa posta all'uscita della cisterna) che non permette all'acqua di ritornare dal vaso d'espansione alla cisterna.

However always refer to the appropriate technical documentation for the complete list of instructions, safety alerts and sequence of procedures before conducting any service or maintenance operations. Before placing any instruments into the autoclave check with the manufacturer to be sure the materials are compatible with the steam sterilization and verify acceptability of sterilization parameters. The M9 and M11 are designed to sterilize metal instruments, rubber and plastic devices, wrapping and bundling materials, cassettes, high and low speed handpieces, surgical instruments. Do not sterilize items composed any of the following materials in the M9 or M11: corrosion sensitive metal, fragile items susceptible to breaking under pressure or high temperature, biomedical waste, plastics that may break down or produce residue when exposed to steam or high temperatures. Clean and dry instruments thoroughly before placing them into the autoclave improper cleaning may result in non sterile instruments or damage to the unit. To ensure proper sterilization of items these general guidelines must be followed. This will ensure that steam circulation air circulation an adequate drainage have the condensed steam can take place. All containers must be placed so the opening allows steam to enter and the air and condensate to drain from the container. Use only M9 or M11 trays in the appropriate sterilizer. Using other trays could restrict air and steam flow to items. Place jointed items like forceps or pliers in an open position. Handpieces and instruments must be single height loaded not piled or stacked. The M9 and M11 are capable of sterilizing unwrapped instruments for immediate use. Place a towel or absorbent paper on the bottom of the tray before putting unwrapped items on the tray. Follow regulatory guidelines for using unwrapped sterilized instruments. The M9 and M11 are capable of sterilizing pouched or wrapped items to preserve sterility after processing. When pouching or wrapping items use only sterilizer pouches and wraps that have been cleared by the FDA and labeled for use with the steam sterilization cycle being used. When using cassettes and the M9 or M11 follow the manufacturer's instructions for use. Do not wrap items too tightly. Sterilization can be compromised if an item is excessively wrapped. Pouched items should be loosely packed. Handpieces and instruments must be single height loaded not piled or stacked to permit proper steam flow and penetration to the items. The preferred orientation for pouches is resting on their edge, best accomplished using the Midmark pouch rack accessory. If using the standard tray, pouches should be placed paper side down. All items must be processed in accordance with regulatory guidelines for infection control. All items must fit in the M9 or M11 tray. The loaded tray must slide into the chamber opening without scraping. Instruments must not touch one another. Pouches may overlap slightly, but items must not be layered. Refer to these charts and your installation and operations manual for maximum sterilization loads. If a load surpasses these limits we recommend dividing the load and running multiple cycles. Do not overload the chamber. Adequate space is required around items and trays for steam circulation and drying. Failure to allow adequate space will compromise sterilization and drying. Do not run the sterilizer without the tray plates in place. For more detailed information about maintaining your autoclave, please refer to the M9/M11 installation and operation manual.
