MADONNA BOOB GATE SCANDAL Madonna is the talk of the town on her Australian tour, not only has she been hours late for some of her concerts, but she caused more uproar at her Brisbane concert last week when she pulled down the top of a fan exposing her bare breast to the crowd. Turns out, the fan is only 17 years old. Madge flew her and her mother down to a Sydney show as a ''sorry'' and paid extra attention to her while performing. The Gold Coast fan, however isn't phased and has since passed on to Madonna's crew to her '' when I turn 18 she can pull my other boob out without all the controversy.''. - Is that enough for a ''sorry'' CAN WOMEN HAVE IT ALL? The topic often debated has again come up in the media with women themselves backing the statement that it's near impossible for women to have a successful career and family. There's been numerous high-profile women across the globe suggesting women to have kids earlier on so you're young enough to continue a career afterwards. One lady has even said she feels ''sorry for anyone 33 plus with babies or toddlers. Cancer is preferable''. - Currently in Australia, according to the most recent Australian Institute of Health and Welfare data, the average age of Australian mothers is now 30.6 years old, which is an increase of 7.5 per cent since 1991. - What do you think? Can women have it all? - Are kids an obligation or a job? - What comes first, kids or career? - Why aren't men being propositioned with the same question? SMACKING, IS IT A CRIME? Again, another evergreen and controversial topic: is smacking your kids okay? Topic has resurfaced this week after a South Australian court judge’s decision to quash a father’s conviction for aggravated assault after he smacked his child. Decision overturned the conviction because discipline did not “transform” a parent into a criminal. Dr Justin Coulson, author of number one parenting book 21 Days to a Happier Family, said it was never OK to smack or hit somebody more vulnerable and has propositioned you wouldn’t hit somebody with dementia, nor a person with a disability, so why is it OK to smack children? - Is it okay? - Are we being too precious or is smacking something that needs to be banished from parenting? - Are you with the judge or Dr Justin?
