This gorgeous girl in the middle is no other than international star Samantha Sang! And what a beautiful addition she was to our stage. Samantha was born into an entertainment family, and she was born to sing. Her rise to international stardom was relatively quick, helped along by Barry Gibb who heard her sing when she was in the USA for the second time, and gave her the choice of two songs. She chose 'Emotion' and the rest was history, selling something like 6 million copies worldwide! But things never go to plan, and her early adventures to America were rocky to say the least. But - she survived.
Also on the show, Soozie Pinder is out and about with the 'Life of Riley', fantastic Melbourne rock/blues band. And we also feature a recent song from 'Seal' called 'Do you ever'.

Written by the Bee Gees, what could possibly be said about the quality of this ballad that has not already been talked about? "Emotion" is a song written by Barry and Robin Gibb and recorded by Australian singer Samantha Sang for the Private Stock label. The song was Sang's only hit single, reaching No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1978. Billboard ranked it as the No. 14 song for 1978. There is a promotional video made for this song. The Bee Gees recorded their own version of the song and it was released on their 2001 collection titled Their Greatest Hits: The Record. They originally recorded the track in 1994 as part of an album called Love Songs which was never released.
Originally, when Sang arrived in Miami, instead of recording "Don't Throw it All Away", Barry offered her a new song "Emotion". On this track, Sang sticks to a breathy-like Barry's sound. Barry himself provided harmony and background vocals. Barry also uses his falsetto on this track. The B-side was "When Love Is Gone" instead of another Barry Gibb song, which was the new Frances Lai composition. It was recorded around April 1977 in Criteria Studios in Miami, Florida around the same time as Barry contributed writing and producing "Save Me, Save Me" for the band Network. Blue Weaver identified the musicians as shown from memory. On the session, Joey Murcia plays guitar, George Bitzer on keyboards, Harold Cowart on bass and Ron "Tubby" Zeigler on drums. It was originally intended for use in the 1977 film Saturday Night Fever, but ended up being featured in the film The Stud (1978) starring Joan Collins. Also in 1978, Emotion was used as the B-side of Johnny Mathis and Deniece Williams' single "Too Much, Too Little, Too Late", which reached number one in the U.S.

Born Cheryl Lau Sang in Melbourne, she also was known professionally as Cheryl Gray, the name she used to release her debut single "The Real Thing" in 1966. After entering and winning several talent contests, EMI signed her and released two other singles, "In A Woman's Eyes" and 1967's "You Made Me What I Am" that put her firmly in Australia's pop landscape. Looking to expand her appeal, she went to the UK in 1969. It was there that Barry Gibb heard Cheryl and convinced Robert Stigwood to sign her. He and brother Maurice wrote the minor hit "Love Of A Woman" and released it under her stage name of Samantha Sang. A subsequent single written by Labi Siffre (Eminem used a sample of his song "I Got The..." for his single "My Name Is.."), "Nothing In The World Like Love" was released, but by then her visa ran out and it was back to Australia. Signing with Polydor in 1975, she released the LP "Samantha Sang and Rocked The World" which did not sell in great amounts. 1977 saw her visit France and the Bee Gees who were in the midst of recording songs for a little disco movie to be called "Saturday Night Fever". Barry wrote a new song for her called "Emotion", designed to capitalize on her softer side. It proved to be the perfect melding of artist with song and became a major worldwide hit, peaking at #3 on the US survey in the spring of 1978. Samantha Sang
Cheryl Lau Sang (born 5 August 1951), best known as Samantha Sang, is an Australian singer from Melbourne who had an earlier career as Cheryl Gray. She had a number eight hit in Australia with "You Made Me What I Am" in 1967. By 1969, she had relocated to the United Kingdom, where she worked with the Bee Gees before returning to Australia in 1975. Sang reconnected with the Bee Gees in 1977 and had a number three hit with their song "Emotion" on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1978, which also peaked at number two in Australia and at number eleven in the United Kingdom. The related album, Emotion, reached the top 30 on Billboard 200 and included two other Hot 100 singles.
Early life
Sang was born to Reg and Joan (née Clarke) Sang in Melbourne, Australia, the great-great-granddaughter of a Chinese herbalist and surgeon. Reg ran a singing school and performed professionally as Reg Gray.
First recordings
Sang began her career, at the age of eight, by singing on Australian radio. She entered and won talent contests. In December 1966, she released her debut single, "The Real Thing" (not to be confused with fellow Australian Russell Morris' 1969 hit song "The Real Thing") under the name Cheryl Gray. It was issued by EMI Records on their HMV label and was quickly followed by her second single, "In a Woman's Eyes".

Bee Gees
The Bee Gees were a pop music band formed in 1958. The band's line-up consisted of brothers Barry, Robin, and Maurice Gibb. The trio were successful for most of their decades of recording music, but they had two distinct periods of exceptional success: as a popular music act in the late 1960s and early 1970s, and as prominent performers of the disco music era in the late 1970s. The group sang recognisable three-part tight harmonies; Robin's clear vibrato lead vocals were a hallmark of their earlier hits, while Barry's R&B falsetto became their signature sound during the late 1970s and 1980s. They wrote all of their own hits, as well as writing and producing several major hits for other artists.
Born on the Isle of Man to English parents, the Gibb brothers lived in Chorlton, Manchester, England, until the late 1950s, and formed the Rattlesnakes. The family then moved to Redcliffe, in Queensland, Australia, and then to Cribb Island. After achieving their first chart success in Australia as the Bee Gees with "Spicks and Specks" (their 12th single), they returned to the UK in January 1967 where producer Robert Stigwood began promoting them to a worldwide audience.

The song was Sang's only hit single, reaching No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1978. Billboard ranked it as the No. 14 song for 1978. There is a promotional video made for this song. The Bee Gees recorded their own version of the song and it was released on their 2001 collection titled Their Greatest Hits: The Record. They originally recorded the track in 1994 as part of an album called Love Songs which was never released.
Originally, when Sang arrived in Miami, instead of recording "Don't Throw it All Away", Barry offered her a new song "Emotion". On this track, Sang sticks to a breathy-like Barry's sound. Barry himself provided harmony and background vocals. Barry also uses his falsetto on this track. The B-side was "When Love Is Gone" instead of another Barry Gibb song, which was the new Frances Lai composition. It was recorded around April 1977 in Criteria Studios in Miami, Florida around the same time as Barry contributed writing and producing "Save Me, Save Me" for the band Network. Blue Weaver identified the musicians as shown from memory. On the session, Joey Murcia plays guitar, George Bitzer on keyboards, Harold Cowart on bass and Ron "Tubby" Zeigler on drums. It was originally intended for use in the 1977 film Saturday Night Fever, but ended up being featured in the film The Stud (1978) starring Joan Collins. Also in 1978, Emotion was used as the B-side of Johnny Mathis and Deniece Williams' single "Too Much, Too Little, Too Late", which reached number one in the U.S.

Born Cheryl Lau Sang in Melbourne, she also was known professionally as Cheryl Gray, the name she used to release her debut single "The Real Thing" in 1966. After entering and winning several talent contests, EMI signed her and released two other singles, "In A Woman's Eyes" and 1967's "You Made Me What I Am" that put her firmly in Australia's pop landscape. Looking to expand her appeal, she went to the UK in 1969. It was there that Barry Gibb heard Cheryl and convinced Robert Stigwood to sign her. He and brother Maurice wrote the minor hit "Love Of A Woman" and released it under her stage name of Samantha Sang. A subsequent single written by Labi Siffre (Eminem used a sample of his song "I Got The..." for his single "My Name Is.."), "Nothing In The World Like Love" was released, but by then her visa ran out and it was back to Australia. Signing with Polydor in 1975, she released the LP "Samantha Sang and Rocked The World" which did not sell in great amounts. 1977 saw her visit France and the Bee Gees who were in the midst of recording songs for a little disco movie to be called "Saturday Night Fever". Barry wrote a new song for her called "Emotion", designed to capitalize on her softer side. It proved to be the perfect melding of artist with song and became a major worldwide hit, peaking at #3 on the US survey in the spring of 1978. Born 5 August 1951 in Melbourne (Australia), Cheryl Lau Sang, best known as Samantha Sang, is an Australian singer from Melbourne who had an earlier career as Cheryl Gray.
She had a number eight hit in Australia with "You Made Me What I Am" in 1967.
By 1969, she had relocated to the United Kingdom, where she worked with the Bee Gees before returning to Australia in 1975.
Sang reconnected with the Bee Gees in 1977 and had a number three hit with their song "Emotion" on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1978, which also peaked at number two in Australia and at number eleven in the United Kingdom.
The related album, Emotion, reached the top 30 on Billboard 200 and included two other Hot 100 singles.
Sang began her career, at the age of eight, by singing on Australian radio.[3] She entered and won talent contests. In December 1966, she released her debut single, "The Real Thing"
Her third single, "You Made Me What I Am", was released in May 1967 and reached number eight on the Go-Set Top 40.

Y pese al miedo que da hacerse algo semi permanente en tu cara, a mi me ha salido todo a pedir de Milhouse!
MUCHAS GRACIAS por acompañarme en esta aventura, espero que os haya quedado claro el vídeo y hayáis cogido confianza con este asuntillo por si hay alguna o alguno que está interesado. Por si me he explicado fatal o queréis volver a repasar al información sin el suplicio de ver el vídeo de nuevo aquí os dejo todo el procedimiento y toda la información que necesitáis.
En este tratamiento hemos utilizado una técnica que se llama "Dermoblading" y que de momento muy pocas personas utilizan en España. Esta técnica reúne las ventajas del Microblading y la Micropigmentación ya que permite crear un efecto de volumen que era lo que necesitábamos en mi caso. Mi ceja tenía mucho volumen en la parte inicial, hasta casi el punto alto y a partir de ese punto una ausencia de pelo, por lo que conseguir unificar los volúmenes fue un poco complicado PERO LO CONSEGUIMOS.
La técnica de micropigmentación permite crear pelitos finos pero no permite crear tanto volumen, mientras que el "tebori recto" que es la herramienta con la que trabajamos el microblading permite crear un tipo de pelo más voluminoso y ambos juntos dar así sensación de cobertura.
También utilizamos dos colores: el Brun 3 de Biotek que es un poco más ceniza para compensar los subtonos rojos y el Brown 3 también de Biotek que es un poco más cálido para conseguir con la mezcla de ambos colores unas cejas de lo más naturales.
En cuanto a la máquina, utilizamos la Stilus EVO de Biotek, una máquina que permite trabajar con programas automáticos como por el ejemplo, el que hemos utilizado de pelo a pelo.
También hemos utilizado diferentes productos para realizar la sesión:
- Un calibre para medir con exactitud la ceja
- Un desinfectante para ir limpiando la zona
- Un aplicador de precisión para pintar algún pelito o mejorar el diseño según vamos trabajando
- Una vaselina especial para dar en la piel si la encontramos un poco seca al ir pasando el algodón
- Una crema calmante que se utiliza antes de aplicar la técnica de microblading
En cuanto a los cuidados posteriores, la persona que se realiza la cejas deberá estar durante 7 días sin bañarse en el mar, en piscinas o utilizar sauna. Es importante la aplicación de un producto específico como la crema "Cudermis" y no aplicar otros cosméticos o maquillajes en la zona durante estos 7 días, una vez que la zona ha cicatrizado podemos hacer vida normal, eso sí protegiendo las cejas del sol, para evitar que se coma el color y de esa forma mantendremos las cejas perfectas por más tiempo. De todas formas hasta pasados 21 días no se podrá apreciar el resultado final y definitivo de las cejas.
En cuanto a los precios suelen pedir que el cliente interesado les envíe una foto para valorar el trabajo que tienen que hacer y en función de eso dan un precio lo más ajustado y exacto posible. Pero un servicio de cejas pelo a pelo oscila entre los 290 €, cuando es un relleno o retoque parcial hasta los 350 € cuando es un trabajo completo de diseño y ejecución pelo a pelo.

Hip hip HURRA!!! jajajajajaj no en serio, no sabéis lo contenta y emocionada que estoy con esto! Cualquiera que sufra de cejas invisibles me comprenderá! Y pese al miedo que da hacerse algo semi permanente en tu cara, a mi me ha salido todo a pedir de Milhouse!
MUCHAS GRACIAS por acompañarme en esta aventura, espero que os haya quedado claro el vídeo y hayáis cogido confianza con este asuntillo por si hay alguna o alguno que está interesado. Por si me he explicado fatal o queréis volver a repasar al información sin el suplicio de ver el vídeo de nuevo aquí os dejo todo el procedimiento y toda la información que necesitáis.
En este tratamiento hemos utilizado una técnica que se llama "Dermoblading" y que de momento muy pocas personas utilizan en España. Esta técnica reúne las ventajas del Microblading y la Micropigmentación ya que permite crear un efecto de volumen que era lo que necesitábamos en mi caso. Mi ceja tenía mucho volumen en la parte inicial, hasta casi el punto alto y a partir de ese punto una ausencia de pelo, por lo que conseguir unificar los volúmenes fue un poco complicado PERO LO CONSEGUIMOS.
La técnica de micropigmentación permite crear pelitos finos pero no permite crear tanto volumen, mientras que el "tebori recto" que es la herramienta con la que trabajamos el microblading permite crear un tipo de pelo más voluminoso y ambos juntos dar así sensación de cobertura.
También utilizamos dos colores: el Brun 3 de Biotek que es un poco más ceniza para compensar los subtonos rojos y el Brown 3 también de Biotek que es un poco más cálido para conseguir con la mezcla de ambos colores unas cejas de lo más naturales.
En cuanto a la máquina, utilizamos la Stilus EVO de Biotek, una máquina que permite trabajar con programas automáticos como por el ejemplo, el que hemos utilizado de pelo a pelo.
También hemos utilizado diferentes productos para realizar la sesión:
- Un calibre para medir con exactitud la ceja
- Un desinfectante para ir limpiando la zona
- Un aplicador de precisión para pintar algún pelito o mejorar el diseño según vamos trabajando
- Una vaselina especial para dar en la piel si la encontramos un poco seca al ir pasando el algodón
- Una crema calmante que se utiliza antes de aplicar la técnica de microblading
En cuanto a los cuidados posteriores, la persona que se realiza la cejas deberá estar durante 7 días sin bañarse en el mar, en piscinas o utilizar sauna. Es importante la aplicación de un producto específico como la crema "Cudermis" y no aplicar otros cosméticos o maquillajes en la zona durante estos 7 días, una vez que la zona ha cicatrizado podemos hacer vida normal, eso sí protegiendo las cejas del sol, para evitar que se coma el color y de esa forma mantendremos las cejas perfectas por más tiempo. De todas formas hasta pasados 21 días no se podrá apreciar el resultado final y definitivo de las cejas.
En cuanto a los precios suelen pedir que el cliente interesado les envíe una foto para valorar el trabajo que tienen que hacer y en función de eso dan un precio lo más ajustado y exacto posible. Pero un servicio de cejas pelo a pelo oscila entre los 290 €, cuando es un relleno o retoque parcial hasta los 350 € cuando es un trabajo completo de diseño y ejecución pelo a pelo.
