After the Team Titus Istanbul- and Abu Dhabi-trip, it seems that the guys have been mesmerized by the east. As a result, they went on a long trip to Vietnam, earlier this year.
During the trip, the brand new AM, Markus Blessing, was welcomed to the team by Patrick Rogalski, Farid Ulrich, Jeremy Reinhard, Vladik Scholz, Jost Arens, and team manager Yannick Schall. Together they skated spots from Hanoi to Da Nang.
Both Markus and the spots far exceeded everyone’s expectations. Check out the edit and let us take you on a trip to the “Road to Da Nang”
Nach dem Team Titus Istanbul- und Abu Dhabi-Trip, scheint der nahe und ferne Osten die Teammates angefixt zu haben. So wurde Anfang des Jahres die lange Reise nach Vietnam auf sich genommen.

Für so eine Homie-Truppe ist eine Nacht in der Skatehalle natürlich ein Traum. Hier der Clip mit einer guten Zeit und guten Vibes aus Trier.

David Titus, author and professional storyteller, has been entertaining children and adults in libraries, schools, churches and at conferences and festivals since 1968. He travels extensively, consulting, conducting workshops and residencies, instructing adults in storytelling, and collecting stories and string figures. He has entertained audiences across six continents from the frozen Arctic to the Sahara. With a piece of string and a thread of a story he captures his audience, young and old. Needless to say, he is having a lot of fun doing it.
Background
Collecting string tricks from Tibetan refugees in Nepal, Pakistani refugees in Cairo, or a traveler in the Seoul airport; he then shares them in other parts of the world. This Master Storyteller spent five weeks in Nepal in 1999 renewing acquaintances he made in 1997. He traveled to very remote regions to help at leprosy hospitals, teaching the patients to make string figures as physical therapy. He went to Nepal again in 2006.
Since 2001, Titus has gone to England to work in schools, prisons and churches and took two trips to Mexico to share his talents with string and collect information on the use of string figures in their culture. He has made three trips to Eastern Europe spending up to six weeks in Latvia, Lithuania Estonia, Poland and Finland working in churches, schools, prisons, a refugee camp and orphanages. In 2002, Titus took the first of two trips to South Africa and a mission trip to Belize. He went to South Africa and Namibia and made two trips to a Refugee camp for Liberian refugees in Ghana, West Africa. Venezuela was worked in there somewhere before relations with that country became so tense.
Taking his guide and translator from the States he made a trip to Papua New Guinea in October 2006. He stayed in the mountains with the tribal chief and his five wives. He went to Australia on that trip also. He also returned to Poland in 2007. He spent a month living with a Palestinian family in the West Bank in 2008 and then went to Bolivia before that country was closed to travel. He seems to be just ahead of trouble. November and December 2008 saw him in Pakistan living with a family there and visiting surrounding villages with 3,000 strings.
In between his overseas travel, Dave works with schools in the United States spending a full day or two at a school turning kids on to the world of string. What great brain gym activities these are.
David Titus is now the author of "Native American String Figures", "African String Figures" and "Native Alaskan String Figures." These oversize soft cover books have pictures and written directions for making a number of figures that Dave has collected on his travels. The video "String Magic From Around The World" has been a favorite with many schools, libraries and families since it came out in 1997. "This video shows more than 50 string figures, gives directions for over 20, and includes a practice string. It provides live-action demonstrations and storytelling with string figures," School Library Journal, October 1997.

Shepherd Entertainment takes you on a tour of the Roman Forum in Rome, which is a rectangular forum surrounded by the ruins
of several important ancient government buildings at the center of the city.

The legend of Romulus and Remus, the twins raised by wolves is the product of the excellent imagination of Titus Livius a writer of the Augustus era. Their statues can be found in many Italian Cities including the Capitolian Hill here in Rome. The capital or in Italian Campidoglio was the most highly respected hill of Rome. It was the center of religious life and antiquity. The remains of ancient times are not really visible anymore. Near the decorative steps is the Tarpeian Rock from which are those who committed treason are pushed off. The old temples and the capital's altar are gone; the pleasing look of the square can be attributed to Michelangelo who designed it upon the request of Pope Paul III.
In his plan there were three palaces on three sides of the square. The Palazzo Dei Conservatori, the Palazzo Wolvo and the Palazzo Senetorio, they are lions sitting at the feet of the impressive stairway leading to the square with the equestrian's statues of Casotr and Pollux and the statues of the two Constantine's in the long Balustrades. The white pattern and the dark gray pavement direct your eye to the equestrians' statue of Marcus Aurelius in the center of the square. The sculpture itself is genuine antiquity, originally gilded which came off over the course of centuries. Michelangelo contributed only the pedestal and the pavement to the square.
In ancient times, the capital opened up towards the Forum Romanum to welcome those visiting from there. Now it looks to the northwest as if reaching out towards the new Rome. Before we take a closer look at the vast reservoir of antique monuments known by the world as Forum Romanum, it is worth taking a view of it from an elevated position. At least from the upper deck of a site seeing tour bus, there are many illustrated maps available at bookstores and tourist information offices to help you navigate around town. Just Onte Monte Carlos model of ancient Rome is on display at the Museo della Civilta Romana. It is a very nice way to recognize the buildings that are still standing, eternal spirit, eternal force - You Rome.
"After so much spilled of blood and forgetting, clanking noise, pale silence and so many failures. Flames spread by countless changing winds, still happily stepping over your own ruins and ashes. You will grow into a giant thus celebrating your greatest triumph defeating death. Still aglow with youth always and forever, fabulous sister of palaces city, guarded by swords and the flash of protecting weapons, flooding the world with a light of your torch. Giving a sparkle for all people to chase away their dark, oh you shadow chasing Rome. Your light keeps on shining, forever triumph thing over decaying time." So wrote Giovanni Pascoli in his poem Hymn to Eternal Rome.
The various parts of the forums are connected by the Via Sacra the sacred road. The original cobbles of which are still visible, in the 21st Century the Forum Romanum is only a field of ruins where we try to evoke its past greatness with the help of reconstruction drawings and explanations by archeologists and museologists. Yes, that was the largest and most impressive public square in Rome, surrounded by basilicas, temples and monuments. And was the scene of public life in the city, a few hundred years B.C. there was an unhealthy and almost unnavigable marsh at this location. Thus the history of Rome did not begin here but up on the hills where farming and stock breeding Latins and Sabines were struggling to survive.
The bushy plains that lay at the feet of the Palatine, the Capitoline, the Esquiline and the Quirinal hills trenched by many strange, separated the people living in the hills instead of connecting them. Then King Tarquinius Priscus had the marsh drained and ordered the construction of the great sewer canal the Cloaca Maxima that ran to the Tiber. It was covered only much later and its original vaults are still visible. It took a long time for this area to become a suitable place for the residents of the hills to meet, trade their goods and talk about things concerning all of them. That is the time when Rome was born, for quite a while the forum was the only public square and market and only much later were similar squares established as the city developed.

I had always heard about the steep, unprotected drop-offs -- and the narrow, rocky road -- and the potential problems of driving the one-way road in Death Valley through Titus Canyon. On February 16, 2012, I got the courage to make the drive. The entire loop takes at least 3 hours -- most of it on light gravel. I mounted a small camera on the roof of the car -- took about 35 minutes of wide screen video -- and selected about 8 minutes of that to present here to show the drive. Titu (Romanian pronunciation: [ˈtitu]) is a town in Dâmboviţa County, southern Romania with a population of 10,226 as of 2002[update], best known for its yearly September 14 bâlci (fair).
Titu is divided into three main zones. These are:
The town administers five villages: Fusea, Hagioaica, Mereni, Plopu and Sălcuţa.
On March 22, 2007, the Romanian Agency for Foreign Investment, or ARIS, signed with France's carmaker Renault, a memorandum on implementing an investment project to build a car research and design center worth about EUR450 million in the town of Titu. It has been reported that up to 3,000 new jobs will be created at the site.

I had always heard about the steep, unprotected drop-offs -- and the narrow, rocky road -- and the potential problems of driving the one-way road in Death Valley through Titus Canyon. On February 16, 2012, I got the courage to make the drive. The entire loop takes at least 3 hours -- most of it on light gravel. I mounted a small camera on the roof of the car -- took about 35 minutes of wide screen video -- and selected about 8 minutes of that to present here to show the drive. They arrive in Palanpur and Karan soon endears himself to Sahiba's extended family that includes her father, his three younger brothers, their wives and Biji, Sahiba's doting grandmother. Only Yagvendra refuses to accept his son-in-law, who he is convinced is after Sahiba's crores. Karan, who's never had a family of his own, is easily drawn into the warmth surrounding him and life is fine till one of Sahiba's aunts mistakenly assumes that Sahiba's expecting and spreads the word around. Suddenly, even Sahiba's grim father is grinning and life's a bed of roses again for Sahiba, who begs Karan not to leave her ever. Karan on his part finds himself falling in love with his enchanting wife-who-isn't and scared of a future he hasn't planned for, slinks off into the night to meet Nisha. But Nisha is already married and convinces him that Sahiba is his true love and he should return to Palanpur. He does to find that Yagvendra Singh and his family now want to have nothing more to do with him. Sahiba's father wants her to start a new life with Rai Bahadur's son but at the engagement ceremony, Sahiba recognizes him as the murderer she had fled from in the city. She tries to warn her father about his friend and her fiancé but Yagvendra is deaf to all her pleas. However, his younger brother Raunak sides with Karan and tries to prevent the marriage from taking place. But Sahiba believing all is lost, consumes poison before her Romeo can reach her.

After the Team Titus Istanbul- and Abu Dhabi-trip, it seems that the guys have been mesmerized by the east. As a result, they went on a long trip to Vietnam, earlier this year.
During the trip, the brand new AM, Markus Blessing, was welcomed to the team by Patrick Rogalski, Farid Ulrich, Jeremy Reinhard, Vladik Scholz, Jost Arens, and team manager Yannick Schall. Together they skated spots from Hanoi to Da Nang.
Both Markus and the spots far exceeded everyone’s expectations. Check out the edit and let us take you on a trip to the “Road to Da Nang”

David Titus, author and professional storyteller, has been entertaining children and adults in libraries, schools, churches and at conferences and festivals since 1968. He travels extensively, consulting, conducting workshops and residencies, instructing adults in storytelling, and collecting stories and string figures. He has entertained audiences across six continents from the frozen Arctic to the Sahara. With a piece of string and a thread of a story he captures his audience, young and old. Needless to say, he is having a lot of fun doing it.
Background
Collecting string tricks from Tibetan refugees in Nepal, Pakistani refugees in Cairo, or a traveler in the Seoul airport; he then shares them in other parts of the world. This Master Storyteller spent five weeks in Nepal in 1999 renewing acquaintances he made in 1997. He traveled to very remote regions to help at leprosy hospitals, teaching the patients to make string figures as physical therapy. He went to Nepal again in 2006.
Since 2001, Titus has gone to England to work in schools, prisons and churches and took two trips to Mexico to share his talents with string and collect information on the use of string figures in their culture. He has made three trips to Eastern Europe spending up to six weeks in Latvia, Lithuania Estonia, Poland and Finland working in churches, schools, prisons, a refugee camp and orphanages. In 2002, Titus took the first of two trips to South Africa and a mission trip to Belize. He went to South Africa and Namibia and made two trips to a Refugee camp for Liberian refugees in Ghana, West Africa. Venezuela was worked in there somewhere before relations with that country became so tense.
Taking his guide and translator from the States he made a trip to Papua New Guinea in October 2006. He stayed in the mountains with the tribal chief and his five wives. He went to Australia on that trip also. He also returned to Poland in 2007. He spent a month living with a Palestinian family in the West Bank in 2008 and then went to Bolivia before that country was closed to travel. He seems to be just ahead of trouble. November and December 2008 saw him in Pakistan living with a family there and visiting surrounding villages with 3,000 strings.
In between his overseas travel, Dave works with schools in the United States spending a full day or two at a school turning kids on to the world of string. What great brain gym activities these are.
David Titus is now the author of "Native American String Figures", "African String Figures" and "Native Alaskan String Figures." These oversize soft cover books have pictures and written directions for making a number of figures that Dave has collected on his travels. The video "String Magic From Around The World" has been a favorite with many schools, libraries and families since it came out in 1997. "This video shows more than 50 string figures, gives directions for over 20, and includes a practice string. It provides live-action demonstrations and storytelling with string figures," School Library Journal, October 1997.

Visit the Forum Romanum - the Ancient Ruins Site in Rome
The legend of Romulus and Remus, the twins raised by wolves is the product of the excellent imagination of Titus Livius a writer of the Augustus era. Their statues can be found in many Italian Cities including the Capitolian Hill here in Rome. The capital or in Italian Campidoglio was the most highly respected hill of Rome. It was the center of religious life and antiquity. The remains of ancient times are not really visible anymore. Near the decorative steps is the Tarpeian Rock from which are those who committed treason are pushed off. The old temples and the capital's altar are gone; the pleasing look of the square can be attributed to Michelangelo who designed it upon the request of Pope Paul III.
In his plan there were three palaces on three sides of the square. The Palazzo Dei Conservatori, the Palazzo Wolvo and the Palazzo Senetorio, they are lions sitting at the feet of the impressive stairway leading to the square with the equestrian's statues of Casotr and Pollux and the statues of the two Constantine's in the long Balustrades. The white pattern and the dark gray pavement direct your eye to the equestrians' statue of Marcus Aurelius in the center of the square. The sculpture itself is genuine antiquity, originally gilded which came off over the course of centuries. Michelangelo contributed only the pedestal and the pavement to the square.
In ancient times, the capital opened up towards the Forum Romanum to welcome those visiting from there. Now it looks to the northwest as if reaching out towards the new Rome. Before we take a closer look at the vast reservoir of antique monuments known by the world as Forum Romanum, it is worth taking a view of it from an elevated position. At least from the upper deck of a site seeing tour bus, there are many illustrated maps available at bookstores and tourist information offices to help you navigate around town. Just Onte Monte Carlos model of ancient Rome is on display at the Museo della Civilta Romana. It is a very nice way to recognize the buildings that are still standing, eternal spirit, eternal force - You Rome.
"After so much spilled of blood and forgetting, clanking noise, pale silence and so many failures. Flames spread by countless changing winds, still happily stepping over your own ruins and ashes. You will grow into a giant thus celebrating your greatest triumph defeating death. Still aglow with youth always and forever, fabulous sister of palaces city, guarded by swords and the flash of protecting weapons, flooding the world with a light of your torch. Giving a sparkle for all people to chase away their dark, oh you shadow chasing Rome. Your light keeps on shining, forever triumph thing over decaying time." So wrote Giovanni Pascoli in his poem Hymn to Eternal Rome.
The various parts of the forums are connected by the Via Sacra the sacred road. The original cobbles of which are still visible, in the 21st Century the Forum Romanum is only a field of ruins where we try to evoke its past greatness with the help of reconstruction drawings and explanations by archeologists and museologists. Yes, that was the largest and most impressive public square in Rome, surrounded by basilicas, temples and monuments. And was the scene of public life in the city, a few hundred years B.C. there was an unhealthy and almost unnavigable marsh at this location. Thus the history of Rome did not begin here but up on the hills where farming and stock breeding Latins and Sabines were struggling to survive.
The bushy plains that lay at the feet of the Palatine, the Capitoline, the Esquiline and the Quirinal hills trenched by many strange, separated the people living in the hills instead of connecting them. Then King Tarquinius Priscus had the marsh drained and ordered the construction of the great sewer canal the Cloaca Maxima that ran to the Tiber. It was covered only much later and its original vaults are still visible. It took a long time for this area to become a suitable place for the residents of the hills to meet, trade their goods and talk about things concerning all of them. That is the time when Rome was born, for quite a while the forum was the only public square and market and only much later were similar squares established as the city developed.

On February 16, 2012, I got the courage to make the drive. The entire loop takes at least 3 hours -- most of it on light gravel. I mounted a small camera on the roof of the car -- took about 35 minutes of wide screen video -- and selected about 8 minutes of that to present here to show the drive. On February 16, 2012, I got the courage to make the drive. The entire loop takes at least 3 hours -- most of it on light gravel. I mounted a small camera on the roof of the car -- took about 35 minutes of wide screen video -- and selected about 8 minutes of that to present here to show the drive. South of the centre of Crete are the remains of a ruined basilica, the Christian remains of Gortys’ former glory.For the construction of the basilica in the 6th and the 7th centuries many of the architectural elements of the surrounding ancient ruins were also used. During construction there was no lack of decorative old capitals, as Gortys was once one of the most important cities in Crete. Gortys became famous among archaeologists due to a sensational discovery within the walls of a nearby Roman Odeion. Twelve stone blocks that bore inscriptions from the Classical period of around 500 years B.C. were built into the wall of a small amphitheatre by its Roman creators. The stones contained sections of the great legal code of Gortys. In using this material the Romans managed to preserve one of the best kept legal texts of ancient Greece. Although nature has buried many of its treasures, even today a few magnificent statues still manage to reflect the former size and wealth of the city of Gortys.
