WAVE 3 News released video footage of the incident that shows the car driving over the railroad tracks right before getting hit by the train.
A witness provided the video footage to the news station. The identity of the victims have not been released.
Authorities say two people were killed and two others injured when a train struck a car in a Louisville, Kentucky, neighborhood.
According to

Buechel.
Authorities say a car containing four people was hit after it disregarded the train signals. The vehicle was dragged about half a mile.
Officials say the two people who were injured were taken to
University Hospital and are listed in critical condition.
None of the victims' names have been released.
Logan Bennett witnessed the crash.
"You hear screeching, glass breaking
... it was the most devastating thing
I've ever seen in my life," he said.

JCPS students killed, 2 injured in train collision
LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Two
Jefferson County students were killed and two more were injured when a train hit a car in Buechel on Saturday afternoon.
The train slammed into the passenger side of the vehicle, killing both people riding on that side. The driver and another passenger, who was sitting behind the driver, are in critical condition at
University of Louisville Hospital.
Ben Jackey, a spokesman for
Jefferson County Public Schools, said all four were JCPS students.
The Jefferson County
Coroner's Office identified the deceased as Suk Man Rai, 19, and Chita Chuwan, 16. Both died at the scene of blunt force injuries suffered in the crash.
"We pray for our brothers who we lost in that tragic train accident," said
Tara Khadka, a friend of both men. "We hope their souls will rest in
peace."
The collision occurred at a railroad crossing near the intersection of
Bardstown Road and Buechel
Bank Road, according to dispatchers.
Police said the car ran a signal and crossed into the path of the train, which was traveling at track speed.
A witness,
Anthony Collman, provided video of the accident to WAVE 3 News. (WARNING: The video may be upsetting to some viewers.) Collman said he is a former conductor and comes out to take video of trains every weekend.
Logan Bennett, who was watching the trains with Collman, said, "It was the most devastating thing I've ever seen in my life."
He said the car was "pulverized," estimating that it was pushed a mile down the tracks.
