В 1965 г. Анхель вместе с Исабель открыли пенью "Лос Парра" в старом доме в нескольких кварталах от центра Сантьяго.
"Пенья" - это что-то вроде клуба любителей народной музыки.
Пенья семьи Парра стала центром в котором собиралась прогрессивная творческая интеллигенция и где сформировалось движение "Новой песни". К концу 60-х подобные "пеньи" возникли в большом количестве по всей стране.

"В первое наше посещение пеньи большое впечатление на нас произвела Исабель, и мы потом это долго обсуждали. Мы знали ее много лет; я — более поверхностно, потому что она совсем недолго училась в балетной школе, а Виктор был с ней очень дружен до ее отъезда в Европу. Он знал о ее постоянной неуверенности в себе и в своем таланте; она была очень признательна Виктору за то, что он поощрял ее продолжать заниматься пением и пробовать свои силы в качестве солистки. Возможно, она страдала от навязанного ей ярлыка «дочь Виолеты» и боролась за то, чтобы найти свой собственный путь. Но тогда в пенье эта миниатюрная женщина завладела аудиторией силой своей личности и глубоким страстным голосом.
Анхель был превосходным гитаристом. Когда он пел, казалось, что он свивается в клубок вокруг гитары, а его низкий, довольно резкий голос словно сопротивлялся собственной силе. Внешне он казался слишком маленьким и хрупким для таких взрывов чувства. Опыт, накопленный во время путешествий, и дружеские связи, установленные за рубежом, дали
возможность Исабель и Анхелю познакомить чилийскую публику с песнями других
латиноамериканских стран — со своеобразием традиционных венесуэльских песен, политическими песнями Даниэля Вигльетти из Уругвая, ранними песнями Атауальпы Юпанки. Музыка, исполнявшаяся в пенье, была нова и в другом отношении: брат и сестра Парра привезли с собой множество латиноамериканских инструментов, которые обогащали аккомпанемент песен. Тут были и куатро из Венесуэлы, и типле — из Колумбии, и кена, чаранго, сампонья и бомбо — с севера, почти неизвестные в Сантьяго, поскольку все они принадлежали к специфической культуре альтиплано.

Ángel Parra
Luis Ángel Cereceda Parra (born 27 June 1943) is a Chilean singer and songwriter, son of Violeta Parra, notable Chilean folklorist and brother of Isabel Parra. He travels abroad helping to maintain the Nueva Canción tradition in Chilean expatriate communities in Europe, North America, and Australia. His son—also named Ángel Parra—is the lead guitarist for the band Los Tres.

Isabel Parra
Violeta Isabel Cereceda Parra (born 29 September 1939), better known as Isabel Parra, is a famous Chilean singer-songwriter and interpreter of Latin American musical folklore.
Parra was born in Chile in 1939 and began her career in music at the age of 13 when she made her first recording with her world-renowned mother, the folklorist Violeta Parra. She has since interpreted and recorded the songs of some of the most famous Latin American folk singers. After the September 11, 1973 Chilean coup d’etat she lived in exile in Argentina and France for many years. She returned to Chile when democracy returned to her country.
Parra has toured extensively during her career and was a distinctive figure in the Nueva Canción Chilena (New Chilean Song) movement. Isabel Parra is also the sister of the famous folk singer Ángel Parra and the niece of the famous poet Nicanor Parra.

Violeta Parra
Violeta del Carmen Parra Sandoval (4 October 1917 – 5 February 1967) was a Chilean composer, songwriter, folklorist, ethnomusicologist and visual artist. She pioneered the "Chilean' New Song", the Nueva canción chilena, a renewal and a reinvention of Chilean folk music which would extend its sphere of influence outside Chile. In 2011 Andrés Wood directed a biopic about her, titled Violeta Went to Heaven.
Biography
Early years
Parra was born in San Fabián de Alico, near San Carlos, Ñuble Province, a small town in southern Chile on 4 October 1917, as Violeta del Carmen Parra Sandoval. Violeta Parra was a member of the prolific Parra family. Among her brothers were the notable modern poet, better known as the "anti-poet", Nicanor Parra, and fellow folklorist Roberto Parra. Her son, Ángel Parra, and her daughter, Isabel Parra, are also important figures in the development of the Nueva Canción Chilena. Their children have also mostly maintained the family's artistic traditions.
Her father was a music teacher and her mother worked on a farm, but sang and played the guitar in her spare time. Two years after Violeta's birth, the family moved to Santiago, then, two years later, to Lautaro and, finally, in 1927, to Chillán. It was in Chillan that Violeta started singing and playing the guitar, together with her siblings Hilda, Eduardo and Roberto; and soon began composing traditional Chilean music.
After Parra's father died in 1929, the life circumstances of her family greatly deteriorated. Violeta and her siblings had to work to help feed the family.
In 1932, at the insistence of her brother Nicanor, Parra moved to Santiago to attend the Normal School, staying with relatives. Later, she moved back with her mother and siblings to Edison street, in the Quinta Normal district.

Когда он пел, казалось, что он свивается в клубок вокруг гитары, а его низкий, довольно резкий голос словно сопротивлялся собственной силе. Внешне он казался слишком маленьким и хрупким для таких взрывов чувства. Когда брат с сестрой пели дуэтом, они были воплощением жизненной силы, их голоса сливались в совершенном созвучии, дополняя друг друга поразительным богатством оттенков. Опыт, накопленный во время путешествий, и дружеские связи, установленные за рубежом, дали возможность Исабель и Анхелю познакомить чилийскую публику с песнями других латиноамериканских стран — со своеобразием традиционных венесуэльских песен, политическими песнями Даниэля Вигльетти из Уругвая, ранними песнями Атауальпы Юпанки. Музыка, исполнявшаяся в пенье, была нова и в другом отношении: брат и сестра Парра привезли с собой множество латиноамериканских инструментов, которые обогащали аккомпанемент песен. Тут были и куатро из Венесуэлы, и типле — из Колумбии, и кена, чаранго, сампонья и бомбо — с севера, почти неизвестные в Сантьяго, поскольку все они принадлежали к специфической культуре альтиплано. -

В книге "Прерванная песня" Джоан, вдова Виктора пишет
"В первое наше посещение пеньи большое впечатление на нас произвела Исабель, и мы потом это долго обсуждали. Мы знали ее много лет; я — более поверхностно, потому что она совсем недолго училась в балетной школе, а Виктор был с ней очень дружен до ее отъезда в Европу. Он знал о ее постоянной неуверенности в себе и в своем таланте; она была очень признательна Виктору за то, что он поощрял ее продолжать заниматься пением и пробовать свои силы в качестве солистки. Возможно, она страдала от навязанного ей ярлыка «дочь Виолеты» и боролась за то, чтобы найти свой собственный путь. Но тогда в пенье эта миниатюрная женщина завладела аудиторией силой своей личности и глубоким страстным голосом.

Изабель и Анхель Парра дети великой чилийской фольклористки Виолеты Парра(1917-1967) ,
В 1965 г. Анхель вместе с Исабель открыли пенью "Лос Парра" в старом доме в нескольких кварталах от центра Сантьяго.
"Пенья" - это что-то вроде клуба любителей народной музыки.
Пенья семьи Парра стала центром в котором собиралась прогрессивная творческая интеллигенция и где сформировалось движение "Новой песни". К концу 60-х подобные "пеньи" возникли в большом количестве по всей стране.
В пенье "Лос Парра" постоянно выступал Виктор Хара
В книге "Прерванная песня" Джоан, вдова Виктора пишет
"В первое наше посещение пеньи большое впечатление на нас произвела Исабель, и мы потом это долго обсуждали. Мы знали ее много лет; я — более поверхностно, потому что она совсем недолго училась в балетной школе, а Виктор был с ней очень дружен до ее отъезда в Европу. Он знал о ее постоянной неуверенности в себе и в своем таланте; она была очень признательна Виктору за то, что он поощрял ее продолжать заниматься пением и пробовать свои силы в качестве солистки. Возможно, она страдала от навязанного ей ярлыка «дочь Виолеты» и боролась за то, чтобы найти свой собственный путь. Но тогда в пенье эта миниатюрная женщина завладела аудиторией силой своей личности и глубоким страстным голосом.
Анхель был превосходным гитаристом. Когда он пел, казалось, что он свивается в клубок вокруг гитары, а его низкий, довольно резкий голос словно сопротивлялся собственной силе. Внешне он казался слишком маленьким и хрупким для таких взрывов чувства. Когда брат с сестрой пели дуэтом, они были воплощением жизненной силы, их голоса сливались в совершенном созвучии, дополняя друг друга поразительным богатством оттенков.
Опыт, накопленный во время путешествий, и дружеские связи, установленные за рубежом, дали
возможность Исабель и Анхелю познакомить чилийскую публику с песнями других
латиноамериканских стран — со своеобразием традиционных венесуэльских песен, политическими песнями Даниэля Вигльетти из Уругвая, ранними песнями Атауальпы Юпанки. Музыка, исполнявшаяся в пенье, была нова и в другом отношении: брат и сестра Парра привезли с собой множество латиноамериканских инструментов, которые обогащали аккомпанемент песен. Тут были и куатро из Венесуэлы, и типле — из Колумбии, и кена, чаранго, сампонья и бомбо — с севера, почти неизвестные в Сантьяго, поскольку все они принадлежали к специфической культуре альтиплано.
