Our ascent of
Australia's highest mountain,
Mount Kosciuszko. A straightforward route in summer, during the winter and early spring the mountain and surrounding plateau are snowbound and blasted by frigid winds.
Summit temperatures dipped to at least -5 celsius, with sustained winds of approximately 70km/h. The windchill factor was as low as -16, with blizzard conditions and heavy snowfall all the way to the summit. Upon our return via the
Rams Head Range, the weather cleared and gave us stunning views over the
