Shiremoor (originally called Tynemouthshire Moor) is a large village in the Metropolitan Borough of North Tyneside. It is located approximately 3.5 miles (5.6 km) inland of Whitley Bay and approximately 3 miles (4.8 km) north of The Tyne Tunnel. A mile or so north of Shiremoor, the extensive built-up areas of North Tyneside change abruptly into green belt stretching north into south east Northumberland. It has a population of 4,782.
Shiremoor is not historically a centre of population but many housing estates were built there in the 20th and 21st centuries. Shiremoor was first built as a colliery village to accommodate the miners of the local pits.
Shiremoor comprises numerous estates. They include the oldest two estates of Bertram Grange and Old Shiremoor. As well as Park Estate, Leeches Estate, and Shiremoor. In the early 2000s a new area was built known as Northumberland Park. Although built as a separate village, estate agents refer to it as being a part of Shiremoor.
Uh, uh, uh
Uh, uh, uh
Uh, uh, uh
When you're a charmer
The apple's fall
And you're quite the little gallanter
You got on more
When you're a charmer, people respond
They can't see the hidden agenda
You got them going on
And when you're weak it's the Holy Grail
Beautiful want to find yourself
And it's so wrong that you can not escape
So you're forced to burn all under
When you're a charmer, the world applauds
They don't know the secret charmers
Feel like their fault
When you're a charmer, you beat yourself
A victim of such of the nonsense like everyone else
And when you're thinking goes black and white
And your hunger and aWpetite
This is a battle you can not fight
No you only can surrender
No you only can surrender
No you only can surrender
Uh, uh, uh
Uh, uh, uh
Uh, uh, uh
Uh, uh, uh
Uh, uh, uh
