"Facing our
Future" will be the theme of a policy forum on
December 9,
2011, looking at
New Jersey's financial future. Hosted by the
Woodrow Wilson School at
Princeton University, the forum included panels and speakers, including:
Ingrid Reed, retired board chair of www.njspotlight.com, chair of the
Governor's
Task Force on
Local Government Ethics, founder and member of the board of NJ Future and chair of the
Capital City Redevelopment
Corporation.
Richard F. Keevey, Distinguished Practitioner in Residence at the
School of Public Affairs and
Administration at
Rutgers University --
Newark and lecturer at the Woodrow Wilson School of
Public and
International Affairs. Formerly, he served as NJ
State Budget Director and Comptroller (under two governors), deputy under secretary of defense for finance; chief financial officer for the US
Department of Housing and
Urban Development and practice director at Andersen

Unisys Corporation.
Raphael J. ("Ray") Caprio, vice president of the
Division of
Continuing Studies at
Rutgers,
The State University of NJ, executive director of the

Government at Rutgers and professor of public administration. Formerly, he served as department chair of the

Public Administration departments at Rutgers; senior associate academic dean at

Lucy Vandenberg, PP/
AICP, moderator and executive director of PlanSmart NJ. Formerly, she served as a planning and redevelopment aide for Mayor
Dana L. Redd in the

Camden and executive director of the NJ
Council on Affordable Housing (
COAH).
Rev. Eric Dobson,
Open Communities. An ordained pastor, a community organizer and outreach specialist, and a community psychologist. Co-founder of Open Communities LLC, integration consultants. He also served as a clergy outreach director for the
Obama campaign.
David Fisher, PP/AICP, vice president of governmental affairs for
K. Hovnanian, a residential building company based in
Edison, New Jersey.
Fisher is also a former member of the NJ
State Planning Commission.
Robert Goertz,
Ph.D., Retired director of the
Office of State Budget and Accounting for the
New Jersey Department of Education.
Deborah Alaimo Lawlor, PP/AICP, chief of sustainability managing the
