CELEBRATE LIFE CELEBRATE PREGNANCY - WEEK 8
The eighth week signifies many special things. By the time you're eight weeks pregnant, the baby is called a fetus, which they say means 'offspring'. The embryo is at the end of the embryonic stage and is ready to start the fetal stage and It also begins to lose the embryonic tail. The fetus is still inside its amniotic sac, and the placenta is continuing to develop, forming structures called chorionic villi which help in attaching the placenta to the wall of the womb. At this stage, the fetus still gets its nourishment from the yolk sac.
Lot more information you will get in this Week 8 video of

Around 11 weeks, you’ll probably notice some subtle changes, like an increase in vaginal discharge and a dark, vertical line appearing down the center of your belly (known as the linea nigra). It’s probably tough to feel calm right now, since your hormones are still haywire and you may still be feeling pretty nauseated.

CELEBRATE LIFE CELEBRATE PREGNANCY
Week 12 means End of 1st Trimester
Just 12 weeks after your last period, the foetus is fully formed. All its organs, muscles, limbs and bones are in place, and the sex organs are well developed. From now on, it has to grow and mature.
It's too early for you to be able to feel the baby's movements yet, although it's moving quite a bit.
Your baby's skeleton is made of tissue called cartilage and, around now, this starts to develop into hard bone.

The average fetus at 15 weeks weighs 2.5 ounces and measures 4 inches -- and his proportions are becoming even more normal, since his legs now outmeasure his arms.
• You probably can't feel it yet, but she's squirming a ton!
• She might even be hiccuping in there.
• She's making lots of progress: her joints and limbs can all move now.
Your baby has grown since last week, weighing 1.75 ounces and reaching four inches in length.

The development of visual sensitivity at this stage is also amazing. Babies have been seen protecting their eyes from bright lights with their hands at this point. Breathing on its own, he or she is able to inhale and exhale the surrounding amniotic fluid. Your baby also begins to build fat underneath the skin, which acts as insulation. The urinary and circulatory systems are functioning and your baby is able to pump about 25 quarts of blood daily.
The muscles of the baby's face can now move and the beginnings of facial expressions appear. Your baby can't control these yet.

IN this week, Adipose tissue which helps to regulate the body temperature develops. Its main role is to store energy in the form of fat, although it also cushions and insulates the body. So v can say that fat is starting to fill out d baby’s body to keep him warm and by d time d baby is born, fat will account for two-thirds of it’s body weight.
A protective cover called Vernix also develops over the baby’s skin. It is the waxy or cheese-like white substance found coating the skin of newborn babies. The little skeleton too, transforms from cartilage to bone, although the bones remain flexib

As your baby’s bones ossify, now ossification is nothing but deposition of calcium in d bones which also hardens and strengthens them. Oss. Affects d legs 1st. The bones in the inner ears also harden, and your baby’s hearing becomes much more acute. Although she's enveloped by the familiar sound of your beating heart and rushing blood, she's conscious of noises from the outside world, too. They filter through the bones forming in her ear and to her developing brain.

The motor neurons between the muscles and the brain are connecting, giving d baby control over it’s movements, so d baby kicks, rolls and stretches whenever it feels like it. Myelin, a protective substance, envelops the spinal cord.
As v had seen last week too, developing a protective coating over her skin, called vernix . It's greasy and white and you may see some of it at her birth and the skin is now covered with fine hair and a creamy material called vernix that protects it.

The face begins to look much more human, and eyebrows and eyelashes are beginning to grow. Your baby's eyes can move now, although the eyelids are still shut, and the mouth can open and close. The lines on the skin of the fingers are now formed, so the baby already has his or her own individual fingerprints. Fingernails and toenails are growing and the baby has a firm hand grip. The baby moves around quite a bit, and may respond to loud noises from the outside world, such as music. You may not feel these movements yet, especially if this is your first pregnancy. At 27 weeks, baby is breathing (it’s amniotic fluid, not air, but it still counts) and even showing brain activity. You’ve got a lot on your brain, too, from wondering what labor and delivery is going to be like to trying to find the best pediatrician for baby. The annoying symptoms you’ve been having probably aren’t going away, but at least you’ve probably found some ways to deal with them -- and hey, maybe you’re used to them right now. As you say goodbye to the second trimester, you can look forward to some pretty embarrassing stuff (like having to pee all the time --

Baby is getting ready to meet you, so be sure you’re ready to meet her. Make a list of items you still need to acquire for your nursery. Start considering what you’ll pack to take to hospital. It’s not too early to get the bag packed.
Welcome to the third trimester! Moms-to-be who are at 28 weeks and beyond are known for their lack of sleep. Remember if you find yourself up in the middle of the night, do something relaxing. This is not the time to vacuum the house from top to bottom -- even though you might feel the urge to do that at some point. Read a book, drink chamom

It’s time to start counting baby’s kicks, to help ensure everything’s on track. You should count kicks once in the morning and once at night, every day. When you decide to start counting, look for ten movements (not just kicks) within an hour.
If you can’t feel ten movements at least within a two-hour period, it’s best to call your doctor or midwife. To make the counting period easier, it’s a good idea to have a little snack before you begin counting, or to plant your counting time to come after a meal. The blood sugar rush usually gets baby going.

Growing, growing, growing.Yup, baby and you. You’ve reached 35 weeks, and your uterus has grown about 1,000 times its original size, a number that might sound exaggerated to everyone else -- but to you it probably feels more like a million. You can expect to gain about a half-pound a week before birth, and baby’s beefing up, too. At 35 weeks, some moms-to-be feel like they have a ton of stuff left to do before baby’s arrival. Others can barely wait for baby to make his debut. Either way, try not to stress. Baby will show up when he’s ready, and he won’t care if you haven’t checked

Your due date is just four weeks away. Hasn’t time flown? Your once-poppy seed would probably be able to breathe on his own if he was born right now. (If not, he’d probably need some TLC, but he’d likely be okay.) Most of his systems are in working order at 36 weeks. Since baby really could decide to make his arrival any day now, try to put in a little prep work. For example, if you took a child birth class a few months ago, you might want to reread any materials you were given and practice some of the breathing techniques you learned with your partner. Go over your plan for getti

Get excited. At 37 weeks, your baby has reached full term. That means he’s developed his most crucial functions. Of course, he’ll get even healthier and stronger over the next few weeks, so don’t get too impatient. Around week 37, many moms-to-be find themselves organizing cupboards and scrubbing their floors. That’s the nesting instinct kicking in as your body senses baby will be here shortly. It also might be your brain’s way of making sure you’re prepared for just about anything, so you can feel like you have an extra edge on this whole new parent thing.

Congratulations—your pregnancy has reached full-term, which basically falls anywhere between weeks 38 and 42; your due date is simply the midpoint of this time period. Soon, you'll be able to hold your baby in your arms, look into her eyes, and welcome her into the world. She's between five and nine pounds now, and all her organ systems are in place. She has shed most of her lanugo and greasy vernix coating, both of which she'll actually ingest, along with some amniotic fluid; her body will turn this strange concoction into a dark, tarry stool called meconium. Happy due date -- you made it! Since 40 weeks was the deadline you set for baby, you’ve probably already made sure the bassinet is made up, the car seat is installed and your hospital bag is by the door. Now, do some little things you might have forgotten, like making sure your cell phone is fully charged before you go to bed and the car is filled with gas. Some moms-to-be also choose to put a waterproof mattress cover on their bed, just in case their water breaks in the middle of the night. It’s not a must-do, but it’s not a bad idea either, especially because once baby comes, th

• In the 13th week, u enter the 2nd trimester of pregnancy and u need a big pat on ur back now as u have successfully completed the trimester which most women find the toughest. As the thirteenth week of pregnancy comes and goes, many significant changes are happening to your baby. The baby is now in its fetal period, when the organs and tissues that took shape in the first trimester start to develop.
