Rena Sherel Sofer (born December 2, 1968) is an American actress, primarily known for her appearances in daytime television, episodic guest appearances, and made-for-television movies. In 1995, Sofer received a Daytime Emmy Award for her work in the soap opera General Hospital, for her portrayal of Lois Cerullo.
Sofer was born in Arcadia, California, the daughter of Susan (Franzblau), a psychology professor, and Martin Sofer, a Conservative Jewish rabbi. Her family subsequently moved to Pittsburgh, where she was raised after her parents' divorce. Sofer is a descendant of Baal Shem Tov and of the Chasam Sofer through her father.[citation needed] Sofer attended the Frisch School, a Jewish high school in Paramus, New Jersey. She lived in North Bergen, New Jersey, where her father was Rabbi of Temple Beth El, and graduated from North Bergen High School before beginning classes at Montclair State College.
Sofer's first high profile role was as Rocky on the daytime soap opera Loving, a role she played from 1988 to 1991. She is perhaps best known for her role as Lois Cerullo on General Hospital from December 15, 1993 to September 24, 1996. She would later return as a guest star from February 7, 1997 to February 17, 1997 and again from September 30, 1997 to October 2, 1997. Her portrayal of the outrageous Lois won Sofer a Daytime Emmy Award in 1995 for "Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series."
Sonya Walger (born 6 June 1974) is an English actress known for her roles in the ABC series Lost as Penelope "Penny" Widmore, and as Olivia Benford on ABC's FlashForward.
Sonya Walger was born in Hampstead, London.
Walger was educated at the independent Wycombe Abbey School and at Christ Church, Oxford, where she read English Literature, receiving a first class degree. Walger is conversational in French and fluent in Spanish, as her father is Argentinean.
In 1998, Walger played Becky in one episode of Midsomer Murders. She portrayed Flic in Goodnight Sweetheart in 1999, and appeared in two episodes of the crime/drama The Vice. She played Donna Barnes on the HBO TV series The Mind of the Married Man in 2001. On the US version of Coupling, which aired in 2003, she played Sally Harper.
Other acting roles have included guest appearances on Lost as Desmond's girlfriend, Penelope "Penny" Widmore and recurring roles on Sleeper Cell and CSI: NY. In 2004, Walger played Nicole Noone opposite Noah Wyle in The Librarian: Quest for the Spear.
Jay H. Harrington III (born November 15, 1971) is an American actor. He is best known for his role as the title character in the ABC sitcom Better Off Ted.
Born and raised in Wellesley, Massachusetts, Harrington attended Wellesley High School and then studied theater at Syracuse University before he began acting professionally on stage and screen.
Harrington resides in Los Angeles and is an avid sports fan who plays in the Entertainment League, a private celebrity basketball league (formerly the NBA-E League), and skates for a local amateur ice hockey team.
Harrington has been featured in lead or ensemble roles in a number of television series in the last few years: as Dr. Simon O'Keefe on the transient WB drama Summerland; as FBI Special Agent Paul Ryan on FOX's short-lived The Inside, opposite Peter Coyote and Rachel Nichols; and as Steve on another short-lived television show, NBC's version of Coupling.
Additionally, Harrington recently appeared in a recurring role on the cable police drama The Division. His other television credits include guest-starring roles on A.U.S.A., The Shield, Time of Your Life, Private Practice and USA Network's Burn Notice.
