Classic Game Room HD reviews the Sony PSP model PSP-3001, released in 2008. This PSP is the unit that CGR uses for all of the PSP reviews because it has an amazing audio and video output that allows gamers to play the PSP on televisions with component video for the best picture possible. The PSP itself has an amazing screen, sounds great through headphones (or stereo system) and is built with excellent controls and feels solid. The UMD format is the weak link for this (and other, older PSP models) unit because the UMD drive is an optical drive just waiting to have problems. Fortunately PSP owners can download most of their games from the Playstation Network these days, including a huge number of original PSone video games for PSP. Now that the PSP Go is released you may think that the PSP series 1000, 2000 and 3000 are obsolete but they are not! The older PSP models can still download the newest games and rock your journey with Playstation on the go goodness.

Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories is an open world action-adventure video game developed by Rockstar Leeds in conjunction with Rockstar North and published by Rockstar Games. Released on 24 October 2005 for the PlayStation Portable, it is the ninth game in the Grand Theft Auto series and was preceded by Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and succeeded by Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories. It was published and distributed by Capcom for the Japanese release. It was released on PlayStation 3 via the PlayStation Network on April 2, 2013.
A port for the PlayStation 2 was released on 6 June 2006 in North America.At the time of release, the recommended retail price of the PS2 port was around half the price of the PSP version.The PS2 port does not feature the custom soundtrack ripping capability, in comparison to its PSP counterpart. It was released on 1 October 2009 as a downloadable game on the revised PSP model PSP Go.

This is part 1 of 2 of "My Top 10 Best of PSP Graphics" videos. All of the generation one PSP games shown here were run with 5x graphic and 4x texture up-scaling, and Full Screen Anti-Aliasing on PPSSPP, the Sony PSP emulator, on my PC. The video is not a game-play skill demo; it's more of a technical video showing what I view to be the 10 PSP games which look the best when played in Full HD. This is not my top 10 PSP games list, it's purely visual.
The original resolution of the PSP was only 480x272, with some games rendered lower than that. Also, depending on the PSP model, the PSP 3000 for example, video can be interlaced vs progressive, which made many games look very grainy. Playing these games again on the PlayStation Vita, PPSSPP, or in the case of the PS3 "God of War: HD Collection" and PS3 "Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD" versions is, in most cases, the nicest way to see these games at their very best.
If there is a series, such as Tekken or Burnout, I picked the version which looked the best to me. I played Final Fantasy Crisis Core, Kingdom Hearts, Soul Calibur Broken Destiny, the entire PSP Need for Speed collection, Resistance Retribution and many others, and in most cases, when viewed objectively, the final games I chose held up the best overall to me. For example, in my upcoming Part 2 video, I choose Square Enix's "The 3rd Birthday" over "Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII", because it has not only more impressive character models and lighting, but also more consistently detailed backgrounds overall.
To avoid compromising any of my choices, when picking MotorStorm Arctic Edge, I found that as of now, on the latest PPSSPP builds, there are currently allot of speed issues, as well as a lack of in game sound effects once you get past all of the selection menus. I actually customized the PPSSPP source code just to get the sound and speed working properly enough to include it in my list. There is a PS2 version which runs in Full HD on PCSX2, the PlayStation 2 emulator, however even though it was a direct PSP port, it featured better lighting, added reflections and textures. As a result, it wouldn't have accurately portrayed what the PSP version looked like. Despite all of the PS2's visual additions though, the PSP had more bright and colorful stages and the game itself had more actual features like PSN friends list, etc.
Lastly, all of the games are playable via an X-Box 360 or an X-Box One pad. I legally own, and have backed up all of the games to my PC. Royalty free YouTube music was used for any games with licensed soundtracks.

The PlayStation Portable (プレイステーション・ポータブル (Pureisutēshon Pōrutaburu, officially abbreviated PSP?) is a handheld game console manufactured and marketed by Sony Corporation Development of the console was announced during E3 2003, and it was unveiled on May 11, 2004, at a Sony press conference before E3 2004. The system was released in Japan on December 12, 2004, in North America on March 24, 2005, and in the PAL region on September 1, 2005.
The PlayStation Portable is the only handheld video game console to use an optical disc format, Universal Media Disc (UMD), as its primary storage medium. Other distinguishing features of the console include its large viewing screen, robust multi-media capabilities, and connectivity with the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, other PSPs and the Internet.
After the release of a slimmer, lighter, remodeled version of the PlayStation Portable (the PSP-2000/"Slim & Lite") in early September 2007, sales quadrupled in the United Kingdom the following week and increased by nearly 200% in North America for the month of October. This model was later replaced by another remodeling, the PSP-3000, which included a new screen and an inbuilt microphone. Since then, a complete redesign called the PSP Go has been released, which was sold alongside the PSP-3000. In 2011 a budget model, the PSP-E1000, was released. The PSP line was succeeded by the PlayStation Vita, released in December 2011 in Japan, and in February 2012 in North America, Europe and Australia, respectively.

There is a PS2 version which runs in Full HD on PCSX2, the PlayStation 2 emulator, however even though it was a direct PSP port, it featured better lighting, added reflections and textures. As a result, it wouldn't have accurately portrayed what the PSP version looked like. Despite all of the PS2's visual additions though, the PSP had more bright and colorful stages and the game itself had more actual features like PSN friends list, etc. Lastly, all of the games are playable via an X-Box 360 or an X-Box One pad. I legally own, and have backed up all of the games to my PC. Royalty free YouTube music was used for any games with licensed soundtracks. This PSP is the unit that CGR uses for all of the PSP reviews because it has an amazing audio and video output that allows gamers to play the PSP on televisions with component video for the best picture possible. This is part 1 of 2 of "My Top 10 Best of PSP Graphics" videos. All of the generation one PSP games shown here were run with 5x graphic and 4x texture up-scaling, and Full Screen Anti-Aliasing on PPSSPP, the Sony PSP emulator, on my PC. The video is not a game-play skill demo; it's more of a technical video showing what I view to be the 10 PSP games which look the best when played in Full HD. This is not my top 10 PSP games list, it's purely visual.
The original resolution of the PSP was only 480x272, with some games rendered lower than that. Also, depending on the PSP model, the PSP 3000 for example, video can be interlaced vs progressive, which made many games look very grainy. Playing these games again on the PlayStation Vita, PPSSPP, or in the case of the PS3 "God of War: HD Collection" and PS3 "Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD" versions is, in most cases, the nicest way to see these games at their very best.
If there is a series, such as Tekken or Burnout, I picked the version which looked the best to me. I played Final Fantasy Crisis Core, Kingdom Hearts, Soul Calibur Broken Destiny, the entire PSP Need for Speed collection, Resistance Retribution and many others, and in most cases, when viewed objectively, the final games I chose held up the best overall to me. For example, in my upcoming Part 2 video, I choose Square Enix's "The 3rd Birthday" over "Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII", because it has not only more impressive character models and lighting, but also more consistently detailed backgrounds overall.
To avoid compromising any of my choices, when picking MotorStorm Arctic Edge, I found that as of now, on the latest PPSSPP builds, there are currently allot of speed issues, as well as a lack of in game sound effects once you get past all of the selection menus. I actually customized the PPSSPP source code just to get the sound and speed working properly enough to include it in my list. There is a PS2 version which runs in Full HD on PCSX2, the PlayStation 2 emulator, however even though it was a direct PSP port, it featured better lighting, added reflections and textures. As a result, it wouldn't have accurately portrayed what the PSP version looked like. Despite all of the PS2's visual additions though, the PSP had more bright and colorful stages and the game itself had more actual features like PSN friends list, etc.
Lastly, all of the games are playable via an X-Box 360 or an X-Box One pad. I legally own, and have backed up all of the games to my PC. Royalty free YouTube music was used for any games with licensed soundtracks.

This is part 1 of 2 of "My Top 10 Best of PSP Graphics" videos. All of the generation one PSP games shown here were run with 5x graphic and 4x texture up-scaling, and Full Screen Anti-Aliasing on PPSSPP, the Sony PSP emulator, on my PC. The video is not a game-play skill demo; it's more of a technical video showing what I view to be the 10 PSP games which look the best when played in Full HD. This is not my top 10 PSP games list, it's purely visual.
The original resolution of the PSP was only 480x272, with some games rendered lower than that. Also, depending on the PSP model, the PSP 3000 for example, video can be interlaced vs progressive, which made many games look very grainy. Playing these games again on the PlayStation Vita, PPSSPP, or in the case of the PS3 "God of War: HD Collection" and PS3 "Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD" versions is, in most cases, the nicest way to see these games at their very best.
If there is a series, such as Tekken or Burnout, I picked the version which looked the best to me. I played Final Fantasy Crisis Core, Kingdom Hearts, Soul Calibur Broken Destiny, the entire PSP Need for Speed collection, Resistance Retribution and many others, and in most cases, when viewed objectively, the final games I chose held up the best overall to me. For example, in my upcoming Part 2 video, I choose Square Enix's "The 3rd Birthday" over "Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII", because it has not only more impressive character models and lighting, but also more consistently detailed backgrounds overall.
To avoid compromising any of my choices, when picking MotorStorm Arctic Edge, I found that as of now, on the latest PPSSPP builds, there are currently allot of speed issues, as well as a lack of in game sound effects once you get past all of the selection menus. I actually customized the PPSSPP source code just to get the sound and speed working properly enough to include it in my list. There is a PS2 version which runs in Full HD on PCSX2, the PlayStation 2 emulator, however even though it was a direct PSP port, it featured better lighting, added reflections and textures. As a result, it wouldn't have accurately portrayed what the PSP version looked like. Despite all of the PS2's visual additions though, the PSP had more bright and colorful stages and the game itself had more actual features like PSN friends list, etc.
Lastly, all of the games are playable via an X-Box 360 or an X-Box One pad. I legally own, and have backed up all of the games to my PC. Royalty free YouTube music was used for any games with licensed soundtracks.

Ben 10: Alien Force is an action-adventure video game based on the American animated television series of the same name. The game was released in North America on October 28, 2008 and February 2009 in the United Kingdom.
While on their way to the amusement pier, Ben, Gwen and Kevin encounter Forever Knights through the use of an alien tech tracker. Kevin, Gwen, and Ben track the Forever Knights to the pier where they are looking for a piece of alien tech buried there. On their way to retrieve the component, Ben encounters an off-world (and notably out of shape) Tetramand Plumber named Gorvan. Gorvan states that his objective is to retrieve several illegal alien tech components and quickly recruits Ben, Gwen and Kevin to complete this task. Next, the trio go to a Forever Knight castle in the forest. Ben and Kevin fight their way through the Knights and the security system where Ben discovers the next component is hidden in a (notably chained) robotic dragon's den. After defeating the dragon, Ben retrieves the component and brings it back to the nearest Plumber base where Gorvan very rudely takes the component for safe keeping.

On their way to retrieve the component, Ben encounters an off-world (and notably out of shape) Tetramand Plumber named Gorvan. Gorvan states that his objective is to retrieve several illegal alien tech components and quickly recruits Ben, Gwen and Kevin to complete this task. Next, the trio go to a Forever Knight castle in the forest. Ben and Kevin fight their way through the Knights and the security system where Ben discovers the next component is hidden in a (notably chained) robotic dragon's den. After defeating the dragon, Ben retrieves the component and brings it back to the nearest Plumber base where Gorvan very rudely takes the component for safe keeping.
Enhanced graphics with emulator PPSSPP.For recording I used a Nvidia Shadowplay (it can handle 1080p at 60FPS).
-some games can have graphical issues, lags and other problems...
