The faun (Latin: faunus, Ancient Greek: φαῦνος, phaunos, pronounced [pʰaynos]) is a half human–half goat (from the head to the waist being human, but with the addition of goat horns) manifestation of forest and animal spirits that would help or hinder humans at whim. They are often associated with the satyrs of Greek mythology.
Romans believed fauns inspired fear in men traveling in lonely, remote or wild places. They were also capable of guiding humans in need, as in the fable of The Satyr and the Traveller, in the title of which Latin authors substituted the word Faunus. Fauns and satyrs were originally quite different creatures: whereas fauns are half-man and half-goat, satyrs originally were depicted as stocky, hairy, ugly dwarfs or woodwoses with the ears and tails of horses or asses. Satyrs also were more woman-loving than fauns, and fauns were rather foolish where satyrs had more knowledge.
Ancient Roman mythological belief also included a god named Faunus often associated with enchanted woods and the Greek god Pan and a goddess named Fauna who were goat people.
Claude-Achille Debussy (French: [klod aʃil dəbysi]; 22 August 1862 – 25 March 1918) was a French composer. Along with Maurice Ravel, he was one of the most prominent figures associated with Impressionist music, though he himself disliked the term when applied to his compositions. He was made Chevalier of the Legion of Honour in his native France in 1903. Debussy was among the most influential composers of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and his use of non-traditional scales and chromaticism influenced many composers who followed.
Debussy's music is noted for its sensory content and frequent usage of nontraditional tonalities. The prominent French literary style of his period was known as Symbolism, and this movement directly inspired Debussy both as a composer and as an active cultural participant.

Leonard Bernstein (/ˈbɜːrnstaɪn/; August 25, 1918 – October 14, 1990) was an American composer, conductor, author, music lecturer, and pianist. He was among the first conductors born and educated in the US to receive worldwide acclaim. According to music critic Donal Henahan, he was "one of the most prodigiously talented and successful musicians in American history."
His fame derived from his long tenure as the music director of the New York Philharmonic, from his conducting of concerts with most of the world's leading orchestras, and from his music for West Side Story, Peter Pan,Candide, Wonderful Town, On the Town, On The Waterfront, his Mass, and a range of other compositions, including three symphonies and many shorter chamber and solo works.
Bernstein was the first conductor to give numerous television lectures on classical music, starting in 1954 and continuing until his death. He was a skilled pianist, often conducting piano concertos from the keyboard.

Plot: "Out 1" is a very precise picture of post May '68 malaise - when Utopian dreams of a new society had crashed and burned, radical terrorism was starting to emerge in unlikely places and a great many other things. Two marginals who don't know one another stumble into the remnants of a "secret society": Colin, a seemingly deaf-mute who all of a sudden begins to talk and Frederique, a con artist working the "short con" (stealing drinks and tricking men who think she's a hooker out of their money). Meanwhile there are two theater groups rehearsing classic Greek dramas: "Seven Against Thebes" and "Prometheus Bound". A member of the Moretti group passes a note to Leaud about "The 13" which sends Leaud on a search for "The 13". His search brings him eventually to Bulle Ogier's shop in Les Halles "L'Angle du Hasard." Berto follows much the same path when she steals a cachet of letters from Jacques Doniol-Valcroze and tries to get money from their owners for their return. These twin activities reactivate "The 13" which had been dormant for years, revealing among other things that the two theater groups were once one.

Leonard Bernstein conducts the Orchestra Dell'accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia. 'I truly admire this orchestra and hope it becomes better known abroad,' confided Leonard Bernstein in 1989 to the audience in Rome's Auditorio Pio before his concert of works by Claude Debussy (1862-1918) with the prestigious 'Orchestra dell'Accademia di Santa Cecilia.' In the words of Rome's 'Il Giornale,' Bernstein served up a 'Debussy that is neither ethereal nor shapeless, but uncommonly vital, caught in the full light of noon.' As a member of the impressionist school of classical music -- which followed 19th century impressionist painting -- Claude Debussy authored a series of orchestral works that seemed designed to conjure up visual worlds of sound. In this concert film -- an homage to Debus...

I just can't get the ending right.
I'm so desperate tonight.
It seems only right to let the shadows lead the way.
If I could only just decide.
To let go of my insides.
I know that I'll never have to feel this way again.
And I'm caught in between.
My waking life and dreams.
Death's just as lonely as before.
I still remember you when.
This is all too familiar now.
I know I've seen this place before. But I just don't recall.
I don't feel like I'm awake. But I'm not dreaming.
What was it that I came here for?
They held us down.
But now we're breaking loose.
We swore that we'd let nothing stand in our way.
And when I'm gone.
I will come back to haunt you.
I'll still watch over you my love.
When you're on your way to me.
Don't forget the taste of me.
And don't forget the feel of me.
With my arms around you.
Those memories will never fade.
Like all the promises we made.
This is all too familiar now.
I know I've seen this place before. But I just don't recall.
I don't feel like I'm awake. But I'm not dreaming.
What was it that I came here for?
From below. The sun will rise.
And give us time to clear our heads.
The end is breathing down my neck.
Though hope is all that we have left.
The pain in understanding. Why we can't take it all back.
It's time to finally let go. Of everything we've known.
This is all too familiar now.
I know I've seen this place before. But I just don't recall.
I don't feel like I'm awake. But I'm not dreaming.
What was it that I came here for?
I swear I'll find you before I drift away.
This is all too familiar now.
I know I've seen this place before. But I just don't recall.
I don't feel like I'm awake. But I'm not dreaming.
