reviews that I'd read told me that this model works on large dogs (as well as small). I chose it over others b/c of price and weight of collar. With a spectrum of 0-100, I'd hoped for some options. In fact my 90 lb. Doberman felt nothing below 100. I'm not returning it, I still like it for the weight and price.

Trained with my German Shepherd puppy. worked wonderfully. Easy to use and carry arround. Smaller then other products so you do not see on the dog. Even worked after dog went swimming in the ocean.

With much research I decided to go with this product. Looked like quality product right from the box.Tried it on myself first. I dropped it as it shocked and startled me, but it didn't "hurt", it just got my attention. Felt very inhumane at first, even though I knew it didn't hurt, but after seeing how well behaved my dog now is (one year old retriever mix), and that she's able to go anywhere without a leash...and is SAFER (cars, neighbors, etc.)...I am SO glad we have it. I didn't buy it initially from K9, but after losing the controller we needed to get that replaced asap. K9 had the best price for just that part. They had great service...even called my house to make sure I was indeed getting what I ordered because of the issue of having them sync. I was impressed. Still works great! Love the 2 hour charge. Would buy from K9 again!

My Great Dane used to jump up at people, jump at doors and bark alot at night. I had tried alot of things for her to stop and going to her and telling her off just egged her on more, using the controller on a super low setting has corrected this behaviour in minimal time!!!! I also testing this collar on myself before I put it on her!!!
I have also used it to work on her recall at parks. She tends to focus on things and her hearing turns off... using this collar she snaps out of it and I can call her back! I can also use to correct her behaviour with other dogs.. as she likes to play rough I can stop this from escallating by a quick correction that takes her out of that zone.

I bought this for my medium poodle (male) that once chased after deer in the country side. I knew he will come back to me after 10 minutes, but I was so scared if he gets run over by cars. Then I saw remote collar on the TV program "Dog Whisperer" and I immediately decided to buy one for my dog. There were many different kinds of remote collars in the market, so I read all reviews and did some market research before decided on Dogtra IQ and I even bought a video which shows how to use a remote collar before I actually put it on my dog. I think it was really important that this device is used with proper knowledge and the video really helped me learn the basic technique, so I strongly recommend the video[@]or professional help to assist you before the execution.The product really worked well on my dog. I wished I have used it long ago, since my dog is already six years old. I think this is so much more humane than using a choke collar on a dog which some trainer does it.
