Whoosh. This baby goes round, round, round and round again just for good measure. It's the first ever S&S; Skyswat outside of the United States. With a max height of 105 feet and a top speed of 30mph, it isn't exactly the best ride for those new to the wonderful world of flat rides. But for those of us looking for a pretty intense thrill, it shapes up quite nicely. On the end of a huge, double sided swat, guests will find themselves flying headfirst to the sky - and then plummeting straight to the ground. Does great slam dunks!

Ripped lovingly off iPlayer last year when it aired, The Slammer Returns or The Slammer 5 came back onto our screens in a good way. Oh, damn.

Filmed at Salford in the new Dock 10 ("IT'S NOT A PHASE, MA" -MediaCity UK) (or was it*?) studios, the good thing about it: CBBC stars in most of this season just toddled over from CBBC's office.
THE BAD thing about this? Christmas of series 5 makes no sense to Australian viewers. Who's that puppet dog? Wha? Who's Akai?
To you English viewers, Akai is "the guy who's related to Doc Brown" or something from The 4 OClock Club on CBBC, and the Puppet Dog is Hacker, from CBBC in the Naughties and the Today's. Everyone knows him. He likes Sue Barker! And Scoop! Don't forget that!
It's kind of like us giving you Hoot, Hootabell and "The Cast of Your Skitting Me" and saying "Guess who?!" (Puppet owls from our kid channel. Yes, we have cutey owls and a guy!)
It's good though. Does anyone else think that.. that's.. David Jason in that first interview sequence? Yeah I do.

The Slammer III reels feature our new IPX6 Sealed System which keeps water out of the gear box and drag system in heavy spray and sea conditions. Eight models of the Slammer III will be available, ranging in size from 3500 to 10500 models. Gear ratios range from 6.2:1 with 37” of line retrieve on the smaller reels to 4.2:1 with 43” of line retrieve on the largest. Maximum drags start at 30lbs in the smaller models and run to 60lbs on the largest. The oversized reel handle grip gives the angler added control during the fight.
The 3500 Slammer III is the smallest of the family weighing 13.9oz while the 10500 weighs 43.1oz.

The Slammer - Thorpe Park
Whoosh. This baby goes round, round, round and round again just for good measure. It's the first ever S&S; Skyswat outside of the United States. With a max height of 105 feet and a top speed of 30mph, it isn't exactly the best ride for those new to the wonderful world of flat rides. But for those of us looking for a pretty intense thrill, it shapes up quite nicely. On the end of a huge, double sided swat, guests will find themselves flying headfirst to the sky - and then plummeting straight to the ground. Does great slam dunks! Whoosh. This baby goes round, round, round and round again just for good measure. It's the first ever S&S; Skyswat outside of the United States. With a max height of 105 feet and a top speed of 30mph, it isn't exactly the best ride for those new to the wonderful world of flat rides. But for those of us looking for a pretty intense thrill, it shapes up quite nicely. On the end of a huge, double sided swat, guests will find themselves flying headfirst to the sky - and then plummeting straight to the ground. Does great slam dunks!

Or do I call it Jellybum Wobblechops and give it a tattoo to say it's mine? A metadata tattoo? "It's on the other wrist!"
Ripped lovingly off iPlayer last year when it aired, The Slammer Returns or The Slammer 5 came back onto our screens in a good way. Oh, damn.
Keep it clean, folks.
Filmed at Salford in the new Dock 10 ("IT'S NOT A PHASE, MA" -MediaCity UK) (or was it*?) studios, the good thing about it: CBBC stars in most of this season just toddled over from CBBC's office.
THE BAD thing about this? Christmas of series 5 makes no sense to Australian viewers. Who's that puppet dog? Wha? Who's Akai?
To you English viewers, Akai is "the guy who's related to Doc Brown" or something from The 4 OClock Club on CBBC, and the Puppet Dog is Hacker, from CBBC in the Naughties and the Today's. Everyone knows him. He likes Sue Barker! And Scoop! Don't forget that!
It's kind of like us giving you Hoot, Hootabell and "The Cast of Your Skitting Me" and saying "Guess who?!" (Puppet owls from our kid channel. Yes, we have cutey owls and a guy!)
It's good though. Does anyone else think that.. that's.. David Jason in that first interview sequence? Yeah I do.
(*Or was it just a phase? To be honest, I have no idea. The signage is still there, but Dock 10 must refer to the "MAKE TELLY" and production house, not the full Quay-majiggy over in Salford.)
