Bob Comments: I volunteer in an Oxfam bookshop which provides a happy hunting ground for dubious scifi and fantasy cover art! I came across a load of stuff whilst having a clear out of old stock the other day. I’m especially impressed with The Dragon Waiting, it seems to be missing a leg and has speared itself through its abdomen with its own tail, a truly troubled beast….

Tom Noir Comments: Once the SCA started doing their reenactments next door the local NRA chapter, it was only a matter of time before trouble started.

Good Show Sir’s Art Direction: Remember that time you walked in on your parents as they were making your brother? Yeah… if you could sum up all those feelings and put it into the expressions of the main characters, who must be wearing caped onesies. Instant classic… though you might need some more therapy afterwards.

Dead Stuff with Big Teeth’s Art Direction: Gentlemen…perhaps what this cover needs is both a man, and a horse! Yes! And another man with a mullet, showing he doesn’t know how to ride a horse. And… a girl wearing nothing but body paint, standing at the top of a staircase! Because, gentlemen: nobody would otherwise pay money for something a woman has written!
(the senior partners, followed by everyone else in the room, erupt in a perfect storm of applause. The junior copyrighter wipes a tear from his eye)

Joachim Comments: Despite the pluralized ‘horse’ in the title, a naked redhead is far more important to include perched on “top” of the asteroid.
