the lyrics of which begin with the line "See the Pyramids along the Nile", is a romantic pop music ballad from the 1950s. The singer reminds his or her beloved love interest, soulmate, or sweetheart that whatever exotic locales and sights he/she experiences, "you belong to me" no matter what happens. "You Belong to Me" is credited to three writers; Pee Wee King, Chilton Price, and Redd Stewart. Price, a songwriting librarian at WAVE Radio Louisville, had written the song in its virtual entirety as "Hurry Home to Me" envisioning the song as an American woman's plea to a sweetheart serving overseas in World War II. Afforded songwriting credit on the song mostly in exchange for their work in promoting it, King and Stewart did slightly adjust Price's composition musically and lyrically, shif...
The Lennon Sisters are a singing group consisting of four siblings: Dianne (born December 1, 1939), Peggy (born April 8, 1941), Kathy (born August 2, 1943), and Janet (born June 15, 1946). They were all born in Los Angeles, California of German/Irish and Mexican ancestry. The original quartet were the eldest four in a family of twelve siblings. In 1992, younger sister Mimi replaced second sister Peggy who retired. Sister Dianne (DeeDee) has also retired. The group were a regular on the weekly television show, The Lawrence Welk Show. The current group line-up, appearing mostly at Welk resorts, consists of Mimi, Janet and Kathy. The quartet debuted on The Lawrence Welk Show on Christmas Eve 1955[1] after their school classmate, Larry Welk, son of Lawrence Welk, brought them to the attention...
There are not many of videos like this - Hiccunzel is much less popular than, eg. Jackunzel or Merricup. That's why I've decided to make it. I also think that Hiccup should be older than Rapunzel - that's why I used HTTYD 2. There is some kind of storyline in this clip but I'm quite sure that every of you will create her/his own while watching it. I'm in fact really curious about what you see in this clip ;) Don't forget to share it with me by comments! My vision of storyline? Hiccup and Rapunzel actually are pretty happy together. But there is one thing wrong - Hiccup travels a lot while Rapunzel is locked in her tower. That is why they see each other only from time to time. The parts with different coloring is about their past - how they met, and what they used to do. Song: Jason Wa...

Great version of the Sue Thompson classic , but stolen forever by Jo Stafford !!
The sister duo Patience and Prudence reached the Top Ten in 1956 with a fluke hit, the ghostly "Tonight You Belong to Me." The daughters of a professional musician -- Mark McIntyre, who accompanied Frank Sinatra on piano during the mid-'40s -- Patience and Prudence McIntyre reportedly learned the song while at summer camp in 1955 (when they were nine and 12, respectively). Their father recognized it as a Billy Rose hit from several decades earlier, and was impressed enough to work up the arrangement as a demo intended for cabaret singer Lisa Kirk (wife of Robert Wells). McIntyre also recorded a version with Patience and Prudence's vocals, strictly for personal reasons, but gave a dub to studio friend Ross Bagdasarian, who passed the record on to Si Waronker of Liberty Records. Waronker lo...

This is the song You Belong to me as performed by Bob Dylan But with the Natural Born Killers speech edited out. After searching for days for this song with out the movie clip to no success I decided to have a go of editing it out. This is the only thing I have changed about this song and have uploaded it here to help out the people who I have been searching as long (or longer!) as me. If you would like me to send the .mp3 I would be more than happy to do so, just send me a message.
A song from the 50's recorded by many including Dean Martin, Jo Stafford, Bob Dylan, Patsy Cline and Bing Crosby.A version by Jason Wade was part of the soundtrack to the 2001 animated film "Shrek" and mine follows that one, straight rather than swung. Music&tabs; for this arrangement from colinrtribe@btinternet.com

Why'd you tell me this
Were you looking for my reaction
What do you need to know
Don't you know I'll always be your girl
You don't have to prove to me you're beautiful to strangers
I've got loving eyes of my own
(Chorus)
You belong to me
Tell her you were fooling
You don't even know her
Tell her that I love you
You belong to me
Can it be, honey, that you're not sure
You belong to me
Thought we'd closed the book - locked the door
You don't have to prove to me that you're beautiful to strangers
I've got loving eyes of my own
And I can tell - I can tell darling
Tell her - tell her that I love you
You belong - you belong - you belong to me
Tell her you were fooling
Tell her she don't even know you
Tell her you were fooling
I know you from a long time ago, baby
Don't leave me to go to her now
