The Flowers of St. Francis (francesco giullare di dio) (1950) movie with english subtitle
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0042477/plotsummary?ref_=tt_ov_pl
The film dramatizes about a dozen vignettes from the life of
St. Francis and his early followers - starting with their return in the rain to Rivotorlo from
Rome when the
Pope blessed their
Rule and ending with their dispersal to preach. The unconnected chapters are like parables, some with a moral. The slight and comic Ginepro returns naked to
St. Mary's of the
Angels, having given away his tunic, but not his ricotta. The aged
Giovanni shouts and holds onto his cape;
the beatific St. Clair pays a visit. Humble
Francis doubts his leadership, hugs a leper, and sends his brothers spinning, dizzy, and smiling into the world. This brotherhood is infused with whimsy as well as belief.

Francis Linel - Monsieur le Consul a Curityba (1950-1969).wmv
Monsieur Le
Consul à
Curityba", ganhadora do primeiro
Grande Prêmio da Canção Francesa, de
Paulo, o dentista curitibano Arlindo Furtado, hoje residente no

Connie Francis and others followed later the same song

Or you can kiss me on a Tuesday a Tuesday a Tuesday
in fact I wish you would
Or you can kiss me on a Wednesday a Thursday a
Friday and Saturday is best
But never ever on a Sunday a Sunday a Sunday
cause that's my day of rest
Most any day you can be my guest
Any day you say but my day of rest
Just name the day that you like the best
Only stay away on my day of rest
Oh, you can kiss me on a cool day a hot day a wet day
which ever one you choose
Or try to kiss me on a gray day a May day a pay day
and see if I refuse
And if you make it on a bleak day a freak day or a week day
Well you can be my guest

Dir :

On collectionCB and collectionCB2 we can also listen to Francis Poulenc's «
Les Biches » ballet (1923) and «
Concert champêtre » (1928) in a version for piano and orchestra.

Monsieur Le
Consul à
Curityba", ganhadora do primeiro
Grande Prêmio da Canção Francesa, de
Paulo, o dentista curitibano Arlindo Furtado, hoje residente no

1950-51-Saint Francis Xavier Hockey Team Induction- 1992
The 1950-51 season produced some of the best hockey ever seen at
Saint Francis Xavier University, with a total of 50 games played. StFX was entered in the
A.P.C. League (
Antigonish,
Pictou,
Colchester League) and the Intercollegiate League, winning both.
The X-Men defeated
Acadia and
St. Thomas to win the
Nova Scotia and
Maritime Intercollegiate Championships. The StFX team defeated the
Antigonish Bulldogs and the
Stellarton Royals to win the A.P.C.
Championship and the right to play
Amherst for the Maritime
Senior Championship.
Next, the
X-Men defeated the powerful
Amherst Ramblers to win the Maritime Senior Championship, becoming the first university team to take the senior crown.
StFX then met
Quebec champions, the Dolbeau Castors, in their quest for the
Allan Cup. The X-Men lost the series 3 games to 1. After their successful season, there was much speculation that the team should represent
Canada at the
Olympic Games. Although StFX was seriously considered, another team was chosen. However, being considered for selection showed the high esteem that many held for this great hockey team.
Team members:
Warren Allmand, B.
Bartlett, Phil
Bowes,
Luigi Centa, F.
Dempsey,
Bill Dixon, Howie
Gardiner,
Andy Hogan (coach),
Steve Hogan,
George (Porgy) Kehoe (captain,
1952), B.
Leonard, Duke MacDonald,
Paul MacDonald, Joe (The Pro) MacEachern,
Charlie MacLean,
Jack MacLellan, Acky MacSween,
John Markie,
Hugh McMullin, Ed Murrin,
Geno (Scat) Scattolon (captain, 1951), Phil

Or you can kiss me on a Tuesday a Tuesday a Tuesday

Or you can kiss me on a Wednesday a Thursday a
Friday and Saturday is best
But never ever on a Sunday a Sunday a Sunday
cause that's my day of rest
Most any day you can be my guest
Any day you say but my day of rest
Just name the day that you like the best
Only stay away on my day of rest
Oh, you can kiss me on a cool day a hot day a wet day
which ever one you choose
Or try to kiss me on a gray day a May day a pay day
and see if I refuse
And if you make it on a bleak day a freak day or a week day
Well you can be my guest
But never ever on a Sunday a Sunday the one day
I need a little rest
Oh, you can kiss me on a week day a week day a week day
the day to be my guest

Testemunho de Francis Collins (Ex-Diretor do Projeto Genoma Humano)
Francis Sellers Collins (
Estados Unidos o livro
The Language of God: A
Scientist Presents Evidence for
Belief.
* Biografia
Viveu sua infância em
Virgínia (
USA) no vale do Rio
Shenandoah.
Carolina do Norte. Se formou Bacharel em Química em
1970 pela Universidade de
Virginia e
Ph.D. em Físico-Química pela Univerdade de
Yale em
National Center for
Human Genome Research, o qual passou a ser o
NHGRI em
1997.
Institute of Medicine) e a Academia de Ciências Norte-Americana (
National Academy of Sciences).
