PFC Lokomotiv Plovdiv

PFC Lokomotiv Plovdiv (Bulgarian: ПФК Локомотив Пловдив) is a Bulgarian football club from the city of Plovdiv, which competes in Bulgaria's top football league, the A Group. Lokomotiv Plovdiv's home ground is the Lokomotiv Stadium (also known as Lauta) in the city, which has a capacity of 10 000 spectators due to a collapse of one of the sectors and reconstruction works currently in progress.

In the 2003–04 season of the A Group, Lokomotiv became champions of Bulgaria, finishing the season with three points more than the second, Levski Sofia. This title is the first one in the club's long history. So far, Lokomotiv Plovdiv has also won one Bulgarian Supercup in 2004 and one Cup of the Soviet Army in 1983. The club's biggest success in Europe is reaching the third round of the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup in 1965, after losing to the Italian Juventus F.C. in a play-off match.

History

Plovdiv

Plovdiv (Bulgarian: Пловдив pronounced [plɔfˈdif]) is the second-largest city in Bulgaria with a population of 341,567 inhabitants as of 2015. It is the administrative center of Plovdiv Province and the municipalities of the City of Plovdiv, Maritsa municipality, and Rodopi municipality, whose municipal body had a population of 404,665 inhabitants as of 2015. It is an important economic, transport, cultural, and educational center,

Plovdiv has evidence of habitation since the 6th millennium BC. By the end of the 4th millennium BC there already was an established Neolithic settlement there. In the 12th century BC the village evolved into a real town populated by Thracians ranking it among world's oldest cities. It was possibly invaded by Persians, later by Greeks, Celts, Romans, Goths, Huns, Bulgarians, Slav-Vikings, Crusaders and Turks. On 4 January 1878, Plovdiv was liberated from Ottoman rule by the Russian army. It remained within the borders of Bulgaria until July of the same year, when it became the capital of the autonomous Ottoman region of Eastern Rumelia. In 1885, Plovdiv and Eastern Rumelia joined Bulgaria.

PFC CSKA Sofia

PFC CSKA Sofia (Bulgarian: ПФК ЦСКА София, pronounced Tse-se-ka Sòfiya) is an association football club from Sofia, Bulgaria. CSKA stands for Central Sports Club of the Army (Bulgarian: Централен Спортен Клуб на Армията). The club was officially founded in 1948, although its roots date back to an army officers' team founded in 1923. At present the club is privately owned and does not have a formal relation to the Bulgarian military.

CSKA is the most successful Bulgarian football club. Since the reorganization and the union of several Sofia-based teams in 1948, CSKA has won 31 Bulgarian titles, 19 national cups and 4 national supercups. Internationally CSKA has reached two European Champion Clubs' Cup semi-finals, four European Champion Clubs' Cup quarter-finals and one UEFA Cup Winners' Cup semi-final, being the best performing Bulgarian club in the European club competitions as well.

In the decades, many of Bulgaria's greatest footballers like Petar Zhekov, Dimitar Yakimov, Dimitar Penev, Hristo Stoichkov, Emil Kostadinov, Lyuboslav Penev, Dimitar Berbatov, Stiliyan Petrov and Martin Petrov have been part of the team.

News Feed

On September 6, 2006, Ruchi Sanghvi announced a new home page feature called News Feed. Originally, when users logged into Facebook, they were presented with a customizable version of their own profile. The new layout, by contrast, created an alternative home page in which users saw a constantly updated list of their friends' Facebook activity. News Feed highlights information that includes profile changes, upcoming events, and birthdays, among other updates. This has enabled spammers and other users to manipulate these features by creating illegitimate events or posting fake birthdays to attract attention to their profile or cause. News Feed also shows conversations taking place between the walls of a user's friends. An integral part of the News Feed interface is the Mini Feed, a news stream on the user's profile page that shows updates about that user. Unlike in the News Feed, the user can delete events from the Mini Feed after they appear so that they are no longer visible to profile visitors. In 2011 Facebook updated the News Feed to show top stories and most recent stories in one feed, and the option to highlight stories to make them top stories, as well as to un-highlight stories. In response to users' criticism, Facebook later updated the News Feed to allow users to view recent stories first.
