Thank you for watching my Ghorepani Poon Hill trek video. Visit my website for lots more travel and food - http://migrationology.com/ Part two of my Ghorepani Poon Hill trek video begins with an early morning wake up in Ghorepani to begin the ascent to the top of Poon Hill for the morning sunrise view. It was extremely cold, below freezing, so we were quite happy to have rented down jackets to combat the freezing weather. It took about an hour trekking in the dark to reach the top, and we arrived just before the sun began to rise. There was quite a crowd at the top of Poon Hill to see the sunrise, but that didn't take away from the beauty of the view. After the amazing view, we headed back down, enjoying more and more views of the Annapurna range until reaching back to the guest house. We...

Rameshwaram is the part of Char Dham Piligimage & considered to be one of the holiest places in India to Hindus. According to legend, this is the place from where Rama, the seventh avatar of the god Vishnu built a bridge, across the sea to Lanka to rescue his consort Sita from her abductor Ravana. Lord Rama along with Maa Sita and his brother Lakshmana, installed and worshiped the lingam (an iconic symbol of Shiva) here to expiate the sin of Brahmahatya incurred while killing of the Brahmin Ravana. According to another version, as quoted in Adhyarma Ramayana, Rama installed the lingam before the construction of the bridge to Lanka. Narration: Saffir Music: L. In the Thar, where life is a fight for survival, there lives a community for whom saving the environment is their religion. The Bishnois of Rajasthan, show that it is possible to live in harmony with nature. Their founder, Guru Jambeshwar Ji, Also Known As Jamboji, was born in 1451 in a warrior-class family of Rajasthan. The community got its name from the twenty - nine teachings of Jambho ji known as Bishnoi - bish which is twenty and noi which is nine in Rajasthani. Bishnois are very aggressive in protecting wildlife and the recent case of 1998 of a noted bollywood star, Salman Khan is one of the many cases which shows that the community is fearless and strong-headed when it comes to the protection of the wildlife. The women take equal part in preserving nature by walking a long distanc...
Newari food and more tasty street food on my blog: http://migrationology.com/ Before flying into Kathmandu, I can honestly say that I had never even heard of Newari food. I didn't even know what it was when I first arrived, but I began to see signs for Newari restaurants and after doing a bit of research and exploration around Kathmandu, I was able to have my very first plate of a Newari dish known as Samay Baji. First of all, Newars are the group of Nepali people that are originally from the Kathmandu valley area, they are the local ethnic Kathmandu population. So in reality, Newari food is originally from Kathmandu. Located just a very short distance from the touristy district of Thamel street, is a restaurant that's tucked into a semi abandoned strip mall known as Shree Trishakti Newa...
North India, a video report of our journey through Rajasthan. The most colorful state of India. Part 3 brings us to less known parts of Rajasthan. Chittorgarh: Chittorgarh “the town of the brave” is known for its massive fort atop a hill. The fort is the largest fort in Asia and has an eventful history. This fort was the citadel of many great Rajput warriors. Many bloody battles are fought here. But that is all past. For now the fort makes a sleepy impression. Not many people. The complex is too large to visit everything. We restrict ourselves to a few highlights that are really worthwhile. Beautiful old temples. Impressive ruins and the city Jhalawar (Chandrabhaga Fair) The Chandrabhaga Fair in Rajasthan is held at Jhalrapatan, situated at a distance of about six kilometers from Jhalawar,...

http://www.TravelsWithSheila.com The five-star Radisson Hotel in Varanasi is located in the main business district and has 116 hotel rooms. All rooms have complimentary Wi-Fi, television, ample drinking water replenished whenever needed, huge buffet breakfast and one of the most enjoyable restaurants we've ever eaten in; The Great Kabob Factory (reservations needed). The menu was a little confusing and it took a bit before we understood that diners get unlimited amounts of everything on it. Your only decision is Veg or Non-veg. After that, the food began coming and didn't stop even when I begged them not to put another morsel in my dish. "But Madam, please try ....." And so, I did... Very, very, yummy.
