Una é um município do estado da Bahia, no Brasil. Seu nome significa, em língua tupi, "preto", numa alusão à coloração do rio que banha a cidade. O município foi criado em 2 de agosto de 1890. A região era primitivamente habitada pelos índios pataxós. O território integrava a sesmaria do Capitão-Mor Dom Rodrigo José de Menezes. Seu desbravamento iniciou-se por volta de 1770, por Maria Clementina Henriqueta e familiares, que ali se estabeleceram formando a fazenda São José. Com a chegada de colonos alemães e poloneses, formou-se a povoação denominada Una, entre as desembocaduras dos rios Uma e Maroim. Em 1860, criou-se a freguesia com o nome de Santo Antônio da Barra do Una. Criou-se o município em 1890. Supresso em 1923, seu território foi anexado a Canavieiras. Em 1924, restaurou-se o município com sede no povoado de Cachoeirinha. Em 1939, elevou-se a vila à cidade, alterando-se o topônimo para Una. O topônimo é um vocábulo tupi que significa “negro”. Os nativos de Una são chamados unenses. Sua população estimada em 2008 era de 25 287 habitantes. Está situada a cerca de sessenta quilômetros de Ilhéus. Localiza-se, em Una, a Ilha de Comandatuba, com hotéis de luxo e um aeroporto.

Hoje por volta das 15:00 um incêndio começou dentro do cemitério mais antigo da cidade de Una. Segundo moradores vizinhos ao local o fogo começou de forma moderada e logo as chamas atingiram mais da metade do cemitério. Poucos souberam informar ao nosso site o que ocasionou o fogo, mas muitos acreditam que não foi um acidente e sim alguém, de maneira proposital ateou fogo.

Bahia
Bahia (locally [baˈi.ɐ]) is one of the 26 states of Brazil and is located in the northeastern part of the country on the Atlantic coast. It is the 4th-largest Brazilian state by population (after São Paulo, Minas Gerais, and Rio de Janeiro) and the 5th-largest by area. Bahia's capital is the city of Salvador (formerly also known as Bahia), located on a spit of land separating the Bay of All Saints from the Atlantic. Once a monarchial stronghold dominated by agricultural, slaving, and ranching interests, Bahia is now a major manufacturing center whose last three elections have been dominated by the Workers' Party.
Name
The name of the state derives from the earlier captaincy of Bahia de Todos os Santos, named for Bay of All Saints (Baía de Todos os Santos in modern Portuguese), a major feature of its coastline. The bay itself was named by the explorer Amerigo Vespucci during his second voyage, when he found it on All Saints' Day (November 1), 1502. He named it after his parish church in Florence, San Salvatore di Ognissanti ("Holy Savior of All the Saints"). Over time, the bay became distinguished as the Bay of All Saints, the state as Bahia ("Bay"), and its capital first as Bahia and then finally as Salvador.

Una é um município do estado da Bahia, no Brasil. Seu nome significa, em língua tupi, "preto", numa alusão à coloração do rio que banha a cidade. O município foi criado em 2 de agosto de 1890. A região era primitivamente habitada pelos índios pataxós. O território integrava a sesmaria do Capitão-Mor Dom Rodrigo José de Menezes. Seu desbravamento iniciou-se por volta de 1770, por Maria Clementina Henriqueta e familiares, que ali se estabeleceram formando a fazenda São José. Com a chegada de colonos alemães e poloneses, formou-se a povoação denominada Una, entre as desembocaduras dos rios Uma e Maroim. Em 1860, criou-se a freguesia com o nome de Santo Antônio da Barra do Una. Criou-se o município em 1890. Supresso em 1923, seu território foi anexado a Canavieiras. Em 1924, restaurou-se o município com sede no povoado de Cachoeirinha. Em 1939, elevou-se a vila à cidade, alterando-se o topônimo para Una. O topônimo é um vocábulo tupi que significa “negro”. Segundo moradores vizinhos ao local o fogo começou de forma moderada e logo as chamas atingiram mais da metade do cemitério. Poucos souberam informar ao nosso site o que ocasionou o fogo, mas muitos acreditam que não foi um acidente e sim alguém, de maneira proposital ateou fogo.

It is a country of great diversity, from the bustling urban mosaic of São Paulo to the infinite cultural energy of Pernambuco and Bahia, the wilderness of the Amazon rainforest and world-class landmarks such as the Iguaçu Falls, there is plenty to see and to do in Brazil.

Amazon Rainforest - The Amazon River Basin holds more than half of the world's remaining rainforest, and over 60% of that lies within the North of Brazil — approximately one billion acres with incredible biodiversity. The region is home to about 2.5 million insect species, over 40,000 plants species, 2200 fish species, and more than 2,000 types of birds and mammals. One in five of all the bird species in the world live in the rainforests of the Amazon, and one in five of the fish species live in Amazonian rivers and streams.
Atlantic Forest (Mata Atlântica) - A region of tropical and subtropical forest which extends along the Atlantic coast of Brazil from Rio Grande do Norte state in the Northeast to Rio Grande do Sul state in the South. The Atlantic Forest has a wide variety of vegetation, including the many tree species such as the iconic araucaria tree in the south or the mangroves of the northeast, dozens of types of bromeliads and orchids, and unique critters such as capivara. The forest has also been designated a World Biosphere Reserve, with a large number of highly endangered species including the well-known marmosets, lion tamarins and woolly spider monkeys. Unfortunately, it has been extensively cleared since colonial times, mainly for the farming of sugar cane and for urban settlements — The remnants are estimated to be less than 10% of the original, and that is often broken into hilltop islands. However, large swaths of it are protected by hundreds of parks, including 131 federal parks, 443 state parks, and 14 municipal parks, most of which are open to visitation.
Campos Gerais - With a vast vegetation of grasses and areas of transition between the Cerrado and Atlantic Forest, this region offers beautiful scenery of cliffs and canyons, as Jaguaricatú Valley, beyond the fifth and the eighth most extensive canyons in the world, which are respectively Guartelá and Jaguariaíva . Jaguariaíva the canyon is made more beautiful rafting activity in Brazil.
Pantanal - A vast tropical wetland expanse, one of the world's largest. 80% of it lies within the state of Mato Grosso do Sul but it also extends into Mato Grosso (as well as into portions of Bolivia and Paraguay), sprawling over an area estimated at between 140,000 and 195,000 square kilometers (54,000-75,000 sq mi). 80% of the Pantanal floodplains are submerged during the rainy seasons, nurturing an astonishing biologically diverse collection of aquatic plants and helping support a dense array of animal species.
Waterfalls (Cachoeiras) - Brazil has an amazing range of impressive waterfalls of all sizes and shapes. Iguaçu Falls, in eastern Parana, is one of the most spectacular waterfalls in the world, truly a sight to see. The 353-meter Cachoeira da Fumaça in Bahia's Chapada Diamantina National Park is the country's second highest waterfall, after the Amazon's almost inaccessible Cachoeira do Araca. Other famous waterfalls include Caracol Falls, in a Rio Grande do Sul state park of the same name near Canela, Itaquira Falls, an easily accessible 168-meter fall near Formosa, Goiás, and the gorge at Parque da Cascata near Sete Lagoas, Minas Gerais. Aside from the nationally famous falls, in many parts of the country, particularly the South, Southeast, and Central West regions, you are rarely far from at least one locally-famous, named waterfall worth a short hike.

At the center of the Cidade Alta there are the 2 large squares Praça da Sé and the Terreiro de Jesus which are connected at the corner by the cathedral. The latter is probably the most lively part of town, with food carts and stalls through the day and revelers in the evening hours. The slick, L-shaped Praça da Sé has cool fountains and the fenced-off ruins of the foundations of its namesake church. At the far end of the plaza, the 1874 funicular railway Plano Inclinado Gonçalves used to send 30-passenger cars between Cidade Alta and Cidade Baixa on terrifyingly steep tracks – it's been out of service since 2011, though plans to restore the train are in the works. A colourful intersection of vendors, tourists, capoeiristas and colourful locals, the Terreiro de Jesus is a historic site of religious celebrations, and is ringed by four churches, as well as the XIX century Faculdade de Medicina Building

Praça Municipal (City Square), Praça Tomé de Souza. Once the political seat of colonial Brazil, it is now a lively place to people-watch and see panoramic views over the bay. Overlooking the plaza, note the impressive Palácio Rio Branco, reconstructed in 1919; the original 1549 structure housed the offices of Tomé de Souza, Brazil’s first governor general. edit
Largo do Pelourinho — A fairly small triangular plaza, is among the oldest parts of town. You can guess from its name meaning "plaza of the pillory" what went on around there.
Mercado Modelo — The city's main market located in the lower town is and a good place for crafts and other souvenirs. In the adjacent square you can often see young men performing capoeira, the famous martial arts dance which originates from the area.
Solar do Unhão — The best place in Salvador to watch the sunset. It is an old style house located at the Baía de Todos os Santos. Inside there is a small museum (Museu de Arte Moderna) with local art pieces. Sometimes on Saturday evening there is a jazz concert.
Forte de Santo Antônio da Barra ((Farol da Barra for the lighthouse)), Largo do Farol da Barra - Barra BA, Brasil, ☎ +55 71 3264-3296, [2]. is Bahia’s oldest fort was built in 1698. In addition to having superb views, the fort houses an excellent nautical museum, with relics and displays from the days of Portuguese seafaring. As you catch the sunset here – from the grassy ledge behind the fort or from the museum’s gorgeous terrace café – realize that Salvador’s peninsula is the only location in Brazil where the sun appears to set over the ocean.
Elevador Lacerda, Rua da Conceição da Praia, Salvador, Bahia, Brasil (near the Comércio), ☎ +55 71 3103-3103. 7am-11pm, extended hours summer weekends & Carnaval. The beautifully restored, art deco Elevador Lacerda connects the Cidade Alta with Comércio via 4 elevators traveling 72 m in about 30 sec. The Jesuits installed the 1st manual rope-and-pulley elevator around 1610 to transport goods and passengers from the port to the settlement. In 1868 an iron structure with clanking steam elevators was inaugurated, replaced by an electric system in 1928. Facing the elevator are the impressive arches of the Câmara Municipal, the XVII century city hall, which occasionally puts on cultural exhibitions. R$0.15.
Religious sites

Convento de Igreja de São Francisco (see the 360º Virtual Tour in the following link), [3]. — is a very important colonial monuments in Brazil. The current church was built between 1708-1723, but the interior was decorated by several artists during a great part of the XVIII century. Most decoration of the church and convent were finished by 1755. All surfaces inside - walls, pillars, vaults and ceilings - are covered by golden sculptered gilt woodwork and paintings. The decoration of the church is considered one of the most complete and imposing in Portuguese-Brazilian Baroque gilt woodwork art (talha dourada), being a perfect example of the "golden church" (igreja dourada).
Igreja do Nosso Senhor do Bonfim — A small church located in a neighborhood to the north, is one of the most popular pilgrimage sites in all of Brazil. The colorful votive ribbons or fitas of Bonfim are an easily recognizable item throughout Brazil and even beyond. Children outside the church will (for a small fee) tie them around your wrist and tell you to make a wish for each one. If the ribbon wears off naturally, the wish will come true; if you cut it off before then, it won't. You can get to Bonfim by city bus in about 15 minutes.

Mercado Modelo — The city's main market located in the lower town is and a good place for crafts and other souvenirs. In the adjacent square you can often see young men performing capoeira, the famous martial arts dance which originates from the area.
Solar do Unhão — The best place in Salvador to watch the sunset. It is an old style house located at the Baía de Todos os Santos. Inside there is a small museum (Museu de Arte Moderna) with local art pieces. Sometimes on Saturday evening there is a jazz concert.
Forte de Santo Antônio da Barra ((Farol da Barra for the lighthouse)), Largo do Farol da Barra - Barra BA, Brasil, ☎ +55 71 3264-3296, [2]. is Bahia’s oldest fort was built in 1698. In addition to having superb views, the fort houses an excellent nautical museum, with relics and displays from the days of Portuguese seafaring. As you catch the sunset here – from the grassy ledge behind the fort or from the museum’s gorgeous terrace café – realize that Salvador’s peninsula is the only location in Brazil where the sun appears to set over the ocean.
Elevador Lacerda, Rua da Conceição da Praia, Salvador, Bahia, Brasil (near the Comércio), ☎ +55 71 3103-3103. 7am-11pm, extended hours summer weekends & Carnaval. The beautifully restored, art deco Elevador Lacerda connects the Cidade Alta with Comércio via 4 elevators traveling 72 m in about 30 sec. The Jesuits installed the 1st manual rope-and-pulley elevator around 1610 to transport goods and passengers from the port to the settlement. In 1868 an iron structure with clanking steam elevators was inaugurated, replaced by an electric system in 1928. Facing the elevator are the impressive arches of the Câmara Municipal, the XVII century city hall, which occasionally puts on cultural exhibitions. R$0.15.

Convento de Igreja de São Francisco (see the 360º Virtual Tour in the following link), [3]. — is a very important colonial monuments in Brazil. The current church was built between 1708-1723, but the interior was decorated by several artists during a great part of the XVIII century. Most decoration of the church and convent were finished by 1755. All surfaces inside - walls, pillars, vaults and ceilings - are covered by golden sculptered gilt woodwork and paintings. The decoration of the church is considered one of the most complete and imposing in Portuguese-Brazilian Baroque gilt woodwork art (talha dourada), being a perfect example of the "golden church" (igreja dourada).
Igreja do Nosso Senhor do Bonfim — A small church located in a neighborhood to the north, is one of the most popular pilgrimage sites in all of Brazil. The colorful votive ribbons or fitas of Bonfim are an easily recognizable item throughout Brazil and even beyond. Children outside the church will (for a small fee) tie them around your wrist and tell you to make a wish for each one. If the ribbon wears off naturally, the wish will come true; if you cut it off before then, it won't. You can get to Bonfim by city bus in about 15 minutes.

10 Things to do in Naples, Italy Travel Guide Video Transcript: (NAPOLI)
Tell anyone you’re travelling to Naples and you’ll likely get a few raised eyebrows with some side comments about the mafia, or grid-lock traffic, or garbage on the streets. Somewhere along the way, Naples seems to have earned a bad reputation, but we thought it all sounded a bit too harsh. We wanted to experience the city for ourselves, plus we’d also heard there was good pizza!
We ended up having a grand ol’ time, so join on us as we show you what you can get up to with a couple of days in Naples, plus somewhere along the way, we’ll also reveal where we ate our favourite pizza.
Piazza del Plebiscito seemed like a good place to start our tour. This is a large public square in Central Naples, that earned its name from the 1860 vote that brought Naples into the unified Kingdom of Italy.
The plaza is surrounded by numerous attractions, including the Royal Palace of Naples on one side, and the Basilica of San Francesco di Paola.
We then visited the Royal Palace of Naples. This was one of the four residences in Naples used by the Bourbon Kings during their rule of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies.
The admission fee was 4 Euros and this gave us access to the Royal Apartments where we got to admire porcelains, tapestries, sculptures and painted ceilings found within the palace walls.
We visited was Castel Nuovo, an imposing medieval castle that dates back to 1282. This castle was built when Charles I of Naples took the throne and moved his capital from Palermo to Naples.
Admission to the castle was 6 Euros per person.
We stopped by Caffe Gambrinus, a historic coffeehouse in the heart Naples for a bite and drink.
We visited Galleria Umberto I, which is a gallery which vaulted iron and glass ceilings, where you can shop & people watch.
This gallery dates back to the late 1880s and meant to be reminiscent of Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan.
While in Naples, we took it upon ourselves to find the best pizza in the city. This involved eating a total of 10 pizzas over two days.
In the end we decided Da Michele was our personal favourite.
Because we always enjoy visiting outdoor markets wherever we go, we stopped by the Fish Market.
Moving on to museums we visited Naples National Archaeological Museum. This museum holds the Farnese Marbles, which is an impressive collection of Roman copies of classical Greek sculptures and ruins of Pompeii and Herculaneum.
Another place we visited in Naples was the Quartieri Spagnoli, or Spanish Quarter. The streets in this quarter were laid down during the 16th century for the Spanish military barracks outside the city walls. The streets here are narrow and the buildings tall.

Salvador da Bahia has an energy and unadorned beauty that few cities can match. Once the magnificent capital of Portugal’s great New World colony, Salvador is the country’s Afro-Brazilian jewel. Its brilliantly hued center is a living museum of 17th- and 18th-century architecture and gold-laden churches. More importantly, Salvador is the nexus of an incredible arts movement. Wild festivals happen frequently, with drum corps pounding out powerful rhythms against the backdrop of colonial buildings almost daily. At night, capoeira circles form on plazas and open spaces, while the scent of acarajé (bean and shrimp fritters) and other African delights fills the evening air. Elsewhere in town, a different spirit flows through the crowd as religious followers celebrate and reconnect with African gods at mystical Candomblé ceremonies. In fact, there’s no other place in the world where descendants of African slaves have preserved their heritage as well as in Salvador – from music and religion to food, dance and martial-arts traditions.
Aside from the many attractions within Salvador, gorgeous coastline lies right outside the city – a suitable introduction to the tropical splendor of Bahia.
Chosen as one of Brazil’s 12 host cities for the 2014 FIFA World Cup, Salvador is bracing for a major influx of visitors. Preparations have been slow to start, though. At the time of writing, construction was underway for an overhaul of the old Fonte Nova Stadium and city officials were discussing plans for improving the congested public-transportation system.
Salvador is the capital of the state of Bahia, Brazil. With a charming Old Town (a World Heritage Site), a vibrant musical scene and popular Carnival celebrations, it is considered one of the birthplaces of Brazilian culture.

At the center of the Cidade Alta there are the 2 large squares Praça da Sé and the Terreiro de Jesus which are connected at the corner by the cathedral. The latter is probably the most lively part of town, with food carts and stalls through the day and revelers in the evening hours. The slick, L-shaped Praça da Sé has cool fountains and the fenced-off ruins of the foundations of its namesake church. At the far end of the plaza, the 1874 funicular railway Plano Inclinado Gonçalves used to send 30-passenger cars between Cidade Alta and Cidade Baixa on terrifyingly steep tracks – it's been out of service since 2011, though plans to restore the train are in the works. A colourful intersection of vendors, tourists, capoeiristas and colourful locals, the Terreiro de Jesus is a historic site of religious celebrations, and is ringed by four churches, as well as the XIX century Faculdade de Medicina Building . The plaza feeds into the Cruzeiro de São Francisco , named for the cross in the square’s center.
Praça Municipal (City Square), Praça Tomé de Souza. Once the political seat of colonial Brazil, it is now a lively place to people-watch and see panoramic views over the bay. Overlooking the plaza, note the impressive Palácio Rio Branco, reconstructed in 1919; the original 1549 structure housed the offices of Tomé de Souza, Brazil’s first governor general.
Largo do Pelourinho — A fairly small triangular plaza, is among the oldest parts of town. You can guess from its name meaning "plaza of the pillory" what went on around there.
Mercado Modelo — The city's main market located in the lower town is and a good place for crafts and other souvenirs. In the adjacent square you can often see young men performing capoeira, the famous martial arts dance which originates from the area.
Solar do Unhão — The best place in Salvador to watch the sunset. It is an old style house located at the Baía de Todos os Santos. Inside there is a small museum (Museu de Arte Moderna) with local art pieces. Sometimes on Saturday evening there is a jazz concert.

Police have revealed few details about her but US media said she ran a channel and a website, posting videos on a variety of subjects including those highlighting animal cruelty. She has been variously described as a vegan bodybuilder, artist and rapper. Her channel, Nasime Wonder1, which has now been deleted, had about 5,000 subscribers, but her videos were posted across multiple channels....
