A brief overview of some important examples of Italian art in the 14th century

Andrew Graham-Dixon and chef Giorgio Locatelli travel through Italy exploring the country's history, culture, food, art and landscape. Their journey begins in Bologna, the capital of Emilia-Romagna, one of the richest regions in Italy. They find out why the city is know as la Dotta (the Learned), la Grassa (the Fat) and la Rossa (the Red), while visiting its shops, art institutions and the oldest university in the world.
Andrew and Giorgio experience the social and friendly atmosphere of the region and meet fishermen casting huge nets at the mouth of the river Po. From there, it is a short journey to Ferrara where they discover the legacy left by the famous dynasty d'Este, and to Modena, home of balsamic vinegar and Ferrari.
Finally, Giorgio reveals the source of modern Italian cuisine - at the Palatina Library in Parma he views an original copy of the first cook book of the newly united Italy - while Andrew admires Correggio's magnificent fresco in the dome of Parma Cathedral.

The story of Ferrari began with a dream: to unite the good and the beautiful, art and nature, strength and delicacy. Just like in a love story.
Today, that desire is present once more, along with the values that have established the success of the Company and made Ferrari an icon of the art of living, Italian-style.
The main characher is model Ana Lidia Coca. In addition to the Lunelli family, many Ferrari Trento's employees appear in the video.
The short film is produced by Filmmaster Productions and directed by Maurizio Longhi. The music was composed by Fabrizio Campanelli and performed by a 95 piece orchestra, the Budapest Symphony Orchestra conducted by Enrico Goldoni.

The history of Italian art is in many ways also the history of Western art. After Etruscan civilization and especially the Roman Republic and Empire that dominated this part of the world for many centuries, Italy was central to European art during the Renaissance. Italy also saw European artistic dominance in the 16th and 17th centuries with the Baroque artistic movement. Nonetheless, by the 18th century, the country saw a decline in its artistic output and it started to lose its lustre as Europe and the Western world's artistic leader, with France reaching its artistic zenith through movements such as the Rococo and Neoclassicism. Nonetheless, it re-established a strong presence in the international art scene from the mid-19th century onwards, with movements such as the Macchiaioli, Futurism, Metaphysical, Novecento Italiano, Spatialism, Arte Povera and Transavantgarde. Italian art has influenced several major movements throughout the centuries and has produced several great artists, including painters and sculptors. Today, Italy has an important place in the international art scene, with several major art galleries, museums and exhibitions; major artistic centres in the country include its capital city, Rome, Florence, Venice, Milan, Naples, Turin, and other cities.

The main characher is model Ana Lidia Coca. In addition to the Lunelli family, many Ferrari Trento's employees appear in the video.
The short film is produced by Filmmaster Productions and directed by Maurizio Longhi. The music was composed by Fabrizio Campanelli and performed by a 95 piece orchestra, the Budapest Symphony Orchestra conducted by Enrico Goldoni.

Founded by Dino Colla in 1904, the Barbershop is the place to seek hair, beard and mustaches treatment as well as to meet famous people.
When entering the store one has the impression of travelling through time into a world where attention to the customer and detailed care are sacred and inviolable values. Shaving at the Barbershop is a ritual of great charm: a warm cloth, pre-shave cream, animal hair brush, razor blade that caresses the skin without irritating it, another cream, other cloths, and enormous attention during all phases of the process, a truly attentive service.
Under the leadership of its current owner Franco Bompieri, who has been working in the same historical shop since 1960, the “Antica Barbieria Colla” has consolidated its prestige. As well as providing impeccable hair-cuts and shaves, the owner is also a well-known writer, author of several books.
The products used in the shop are created especially for the skin treatments. They are prepared following an ancient tradition passed on from owner to owner. Up to a short time ago such products were used in the Barbershop primarily.
