Mike Corey (born March 8, 1984 in O'Fallon, Missouri) is an American mixed martial artist. He is formerly fought as a Featherweight for the MidWest Combat in the now defunct International Fight League (IFL).
Mike’s background is in high school wrestling, but he was simply a huge fan of MMA and wanted a piece of the action. After high school, Mike joined the Marines and began his pursuit of a career a fighter.
Mike was stationed in California, where he officially started his MMA training. He started off with grappling, which was a natural transition given his wrestling history, and won several Grapplers Quest tournaments.
Mike has already begun to pass his knowledge on to his two younger cousins, teaching them basic MMA moves and pitting them against each other in a friendly sibling rivalry.
Now Mike teaches at Overtime MMA at Naperville, Illinois, teaching Muay Thai.
Currently, Mike went through a successful eye surgery which kept him out of fighting, but will soon return to MMA.
Mike has made return against Tom Ahrens and which he won a clear cut decision win, winning all three rounds.
