These benefits will persist as long as the fishery resources are exploited sustainably. However, of late some irresponsible fishers and other fisheries stakeholders do not abide to the established fisheries act and regulations as a result the use of forbidden fishing gears and fishing practices in the lake prevails. The use of illegal gears will ultimately deplete the fish stock in the lake and all the accompanying social- economic benefits will disappear.

The Maasai Mara National Reserve (also known as Masai Mara and by the locals as The Mara) is a large game reserve in Narok County, Kenya, contiguous with the Serengeti National Park in Mara Region, Tanzania. It is named in honor of the Maasai people (the ancestral inhabitants of the area) and their description of the area when looked at from afar: "Mara," which is Maa (Maasai language) for "spotted," an apt description for the circles of trees, scrub, savanna, and cloud shadows that mark the area.
It is globally famous for its exceptional population of lions, leopards and cheetahs, and the annual migration of zebra, Thomson's gazelle, and wildebeest to and from the Serengeti every year from July to October, known as the Great Migration.
The giraffe (Giraffa camelopardalis) is an African even-toed ungulate mammal, the tallest living terrestrial animal and the largest ruminant. Its species name refers to its camel-like appearance and the patches of color on its fur. Its chief distinguishing characteristics are its extremely long neck and legs, its horn-like ossicones, and its distinctive coat patterns. It is classified under the family Giraffidae, along with its closest extant relative, the okapi. The nine subspecies are distinguished by their coat patterns.
The African buffalo or Cape buffalo (Syncerus caffer), is a large African bovine.[2]
It is not closely related to the slightly larger wild Asian water buffalo, and its ancestry remains unclear. The African buffalo is not the ancestor of domestic cattle, and is only distantly related to other larger bovines. Owing to its unpredictable nature, which makes it highly dangerous to humans, the African buffalo has never been domesticated unlike its Asian counterpart, the Asian buffalo.
The hippopotamus (Hippopotamus amphibius), or hippo, is a large, mostly herbivorous mammal in sub-Saharan Africa, and one of only two extant species in the family Hippopotamidae (the other is the pygmy hippopotamus). The name comes from the ancient Greek for "river horse" (ἱπποπόταμος). After the elephant and rhinoceros, the hippopotamus is the third-largest type of land mammal and the heaviest extant artiodactyl. Despite their physical resemblance to pigs and other terrestrial even-toed ungulates, their closest living relatives are cetaceans (whales, porpoises, etc.) from which they diverged about 55 million years ago.
The secretarybird or secretary bird (Sagittarius serpentarius) is a very large, mostly terrestrial bird of prey. Endemic to Africa, it is usually found in the open grasslands and savannah of the sub-Saharan region. Although a member of the order Accipitriformes, which also includes many other diurnal raptors such as kites, buzzards, vultures, and harriers, it is given its own family, Sagittariidae.
It appears on the coats of arms of Sudan and South Africa.

Travel video about destination Acadia in England.
From the steep cliffs of New England’s coast to the north of the State of Maine the power of the sea manifests itself. The region is home to the Acadia National Park whose magnificent forests have made it a popular sightseeing destination.Wealthy entrepreneurs were once attracted to the captivating town of Bar Harbour and had their summer homes there. Since then the region has become a little less glamorous but idyllic scenery and picturesque areas such as Jordan Pond are still exceptionally beautiful. As the name Indian Summer suggests, New England’s most well known season dates back to the golden years of the Native American Indian. The warm days at the beginning of autumn were once the most important time of the year for hunting because it was then that the region’s animals grazed prior to the onset of winter. According to legend the strong dark red colour of the leaves symbolized the blood of slaughtered bears. The ‘autumn summer’ was thus closely associated with the Native Indian hunters of old. Even today the Acadia National Park combines all the natural beauty of Maine in a unique way that captivates all those who experience its irresistible charm.

Travel video about destination Cenotes in Mexico.
The dense jungle of the Yucatan in the south east of Mexico is a miracle of nature, a region in which the small amount of rain that falls quickly drains away into the limestone ground. Yet, overgrown by dense vegetation are the remains of an ancient civilisation. Sixty five million years ago a catastrophe of global dimensions transformed the appearance of Planet Earth. A meteorite measuring several kilometres crashed just off what is now the Yucatan and created a crater measuring a hundred and eighty kilometres. Today, within the jungle, this same area contains various entrances into an underwater world, the Cenotes Cave System. The ‘sacred springs’ played an important role in Mayan mythology as they represented the dark primeval sea of the afterlife in which the gods lived. Animals also lived on in this afterworld, indeed the entire earth was a living being! The Mayan monarchs believed that their ancestors lay at rest within the roots of the world tree thus they made sacrifices to the Cenotes. The Mayan cities now lie abandoned and most of their myths, long forgotten. But the underworld of the Cenotes has survived and continues to wait for new discoveries to be found from within its tantalising depths.

Travel video about destination Amboseli in Kenya.
A four hour drive from Nairobi leads to Kenya’s most popular national park, Amboseli. The name of this three hundred and ninety two square kilometre nature reserve is derived from an old dried up lake formerly, Lake Amboseli. The Amboseli National Park contains a large variety of Africa’s wildlife which is due to the many habitats offered by the region’s terrain. The vegetation is also as diverse as the landscape that mainly comprises shrubs and savannah-like natural cover with the occasional acacia tree. Up to a thousand elephants have been counted within the boundaries of this wildlife reserve. They are very tender and caring creatures despite the fact that the adult bull can only enter the herd of the female-led herd during the breeding season. Thanks to exceptional reservations such as the Amboseli National Park the majestic African elephant is still able to flourish and enjoy its freedom in a completely natural environment.

Travel video about nature park Donau-Auen.
In the Donau-Auen National Park the four seasons of the year can be experienced from within a dynamic landscape that is subject to constant change. After spring follows summer in the most important flood plain reserve in Central Europe. Autumn is also an impressive time in this area of the Danube that is located in the border region that lies between Austria and the Slovak Republic. In winter, all is tranquil, Mother Nature takes a break and then the circle of life begins all over again. Flood plains are fine areas for swans that build their nests in the reeds. In winter they are easy to spot but in spring they become almost invisible. In an eerie of the white tailed eagle, the first movements are visible, but in this conservation area, they are safe. Blossoms of wild garlic transform the forest bed into a shining white carpet. Later, their densely-growing leaves will cover everything. The first green of the trees transforms the landscape and the flood plains show off an abundance of natural splendour. A visitor to the flood plains of the Danube is the Black Kite, a typical bird of prey and a bird that lives here during the spring and summer months. As for most wildlife, spring and summer are the best time for breeding due to the mild climate, abundant food supply and protective vegetation. A pair of grey Sea Eagles circle above their eerie a sign that their young have hatched. In winter, wet snow and especially the hoarfrost that seems to grow onto the bare tree branches during foggy, freezing-cold nights, turn the forest into a world of sparkling crystals. Life in the flood plains of the Danube is well and truly determined by the four seasons. Its plant and animal kingdoms have each settled here in peace and harmony. A natural paradise and natural survival at its most impressive!

Amboseli National Park, formerly Maasai Amboseli Game Reserve, is in Kajiado District, Rift Valley Province in Kenya. The park is 39,206 hectares (392 km2; 151 sq mi)[1] in size at the core of an 8,000 square kilometres (3,100 sq mi) ecosystem that spreads across the Kenya-Tanzania border. The local people are mainly Maasai, but people from other parts of the country have settled there attracted by the successful tourist-driven economy and intensive agriculture along the system of swamps that makes this low-rainfall area (average 350 mm (14 in)) one of the best wildlife-viewing experiences in the world with 400 species of birds including water birds, pelicans, kingfishers, crakes, hammerkops and 47 types of raptor.
The park protects two of the five main swamps, and includes a dried-up Pleistocene lake and semi-arid vegetation.
240 kilometers (150 miles) southeast from the capital city Nairobi, Amboseli National Park is the second most popular national park in Kenya after Maasai Mara National Reserve.
History
================
In 1883, Joseph Thompson was the first European to penetrate the feared Maasai region known as Empusel (meaning 'salty, dusty place' in Maa). He, too, was astonished by the fantastic array of wildlife and the contrast between the arid areas of the dry-lake bed and the oasis of the swamps, a contrast that persists today.
Amboseli was set aside as the 'Southern Reserve' for Maasai in 1906 but returned to local control as a Game Reserve in 1948. Gazetted a National Park in 1974 to protect the core this unique ecosystem, it was declared a UNESCO Man and the Biosphere Reserve in 1991. The park earned $3.5 m (€2.9 m) in 2005. On 29 September 2005, Kenyan President Mwai Kibaki declared that control of the park should pass from the Kenya Wildlife Service to the Olkejuado County Council and the Maasai tribe. Some observers saw this as a political favour in advance of a vote on a new Kenyan constitution: legal challenges are currently in court. The degazetting would divert park admission fees directly to the County Council with shared benefits to the Maasai immediately surrounding the park.
Fauna
==========
The park is famous for being the best place in Africa to get close to free-ranging elephants.[3] Other attractions of the park include opportunities to meet Maasai and visit a Maasai village. The park also offers spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest free-standing mountain in the world.
Amboseli offers some of the best opportunities to see African animals because its vegetation is sparse due to the long dry months. Amboseli National Park is home to wild animals, which include the African elephant, cape buffalo, impala, lion, cheetah, hyena, giraffe, zebra, and wildebeest among other African animals. There is also a host of Kenyan birds, both large and small, to see if you keep your eyes open and stop at every sighting.
The park has several rules to protect the wildlife: do not get out of your vehicle, except at designated spots; do not harass the animals in any way; keep to the tracks; no off-road driving; and animals always have the right of way. The roads in Amboseli have a loose surface of volcanic soil that is dusty in the dry season and impassable in the wet season.

240 kilometers (150 miles) southeast from the capital city Nairobi, Amboseli National Park is the second most popular national park in Kenya after Maasai Mara National Reserve.
History
================
Fauna
==========

African Safari Wildlife Park: Get a Great Impression Of Unity With Wildlife On African Safari
Safari in Africa - a unique journey, connected with the supervision of the life of wild animals in their natural habitat. Having been once in the African safari, you will want to repeat this adventure.
It's no secret that among the most popular safari destinations are tours to eastern and southern Africa. Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Namibia and Gabon. Here's a list of countries, including the major wildlife parks in Africa. These countries will be opened in front of you a wonderful and diverse world of wild animals and unique landscapes will enchant.
Masai Mara is the most popular wildlife park in Kenya and the most popular destination in Africa for safari tours. Since the end of July to October, you can witness the migration of millions of wildebeest and zebras.
Chobe National Park, located in the Okavango Delta in Botswana, includes four different ecosystems. The shore of the Chobe River (area Serondela), Savuti region of swamps, swamp Linianti and little-studied area of forests and plains between the Savuti and Linianti. This park has the largest concentration of elephants in Africa.
Kruger National Park has a well developed infrastructure and allows you to make independent travel by car. The fauna of the park includes the Big Five animals, as well as hippos, crocodiles, cheetahs and many other species.
This is one of the most famous national parks in Africa for walking safaris. Luangwa River to the brim with stuffed crocodiles and hippos. Also in the park are home to about 60 species of animals and over 400 species of birds. If you are lucky, you will witness a big lion pride (30 individuals).
Serengeti of Tanzania's most famous park. In the vast plains and grasslands you can often see how lions hunt cloven-hoofed animals. Serengeti is famous by the fact that it is here where the great migration of zebras and wildebeest, the next in the Masai Mara.
Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is home to half of the total number of mountain gorillas in the world.
Etosha National Park - the main Wildlife Namibia. A large part of the park is the Etosha Pan plain, plateau dried up salt lake. The greatest interest among photographers is the dry season, when animals are concentrated at the watering places. Etosha is home to elephants and the endangered black rhino.
Loango is perhaps the least well-known park on this list, but it's only a matter of time. Loango - is the only place in Africa where one day you can visit the savannah, on the sandy coast of the stunning lagoon, in the impenetrable swamps and dense tropical forests. And to see in one day elephants, buffaloes, gorillas, chimpanzees, dolphins and whales.
Ngorongoro Conservation Area borders the Serengeti National Park. Area Ngorongoro, listed by UNESCO, is a huge crater caused by the explosion of the volcano. In a limited area of the caldera in many years, a unique habitat of almost all known animal species in East Africa.

The United States Government has lifted a travel advisory it had issued to its citizens against visiting most parts of Kenya’s coastal region.
The US Embassy stated that travel restrictions to Malindi, Mombasa and Kwale counties up to the Tanzanian border have been lifted in a move that may prove beneficial to the area’s tourism industry.
Restrictions have, however, been placed on any travel to towns near Kenya’s border with Somalia, with citizens cautioned against using the Likoni Ferry Services in Mombasa.
US also cautioned those visiting Old Town in Mombasa saying they should do so only during the day.
The travel advisories were issued in May this year with the government advising against travel to Eastleigh area in Nairobi and coastal counties of Mombasa, Kwale, Kilifi and Lamu.
Citizen TV is Kenya's leading television station commanding an audience reach of over 60% and in its over 12 years of existence as a pioneer brand for the Royal Media Services (RMS), it has set footprints across the country leaving no region uncovered.

Travel video about nature park Everglades in the USA.
The Everglades Nature Park is located in the far South East of Florida and covers an area of around 3,500 square kilometres. Beyond the protection of the park, the neighbouring swamps are a major fascination of this region.The textures of the landscape are both rugged and soft and its infinite waterways and riverbanks conjure up a strong sense of adventure. There are alligators, racoons, pelicans, heron, ibis, and two hundred and seventy-five species of fish including the manatis - a docile sea cow that weighs well over a ton - as well as more than four hundred species of bird. There’s a replica of an original Miccosukee Indian village that has been transformed into an historical museum and the tiny settlement also contains a variety of well-stocked shops with an array of traditionally crafted Indian products. An unusual vehicle that seems to be related to a tractor, but a more elevated version, is an ideal way to journey through the thick mud of the swamp, passing racoons and even alligators along the way. Numerous legends surround these mysterious, natural swamps, and some of the faces of its natural inhabitants - alligators, racoons and birdlife - reflect the stories and history of this unique, highly atmospheric and fascinating nature park.
