✒ ALLGEMEINE INFORMATIONEN ZUM SPIEL:
Mario Kart 8 ist Nintendos 8. Teil der beliebten Funracer-Serie und soll der angeschlagenen Heimkonsole Wii U den Sprung zurück ins Leben ermöglichen. Erstmals in HD werden dem Spieler erneut 16 neue und 16 alte Strecken angeboten. Die Retro-Strecken glänzen hierbei mit teils enormer Überarbeitung. Nicht zuletzt wegen der Neuerung Schwerkraft. An bestimmten Stellen ist es nun auch möglich an Wänden und der Decke zu fahren. Was erstmal befremdlich wirkt, ist aber tatsächlich ein genialer Einfall. Neue Items gibt es natürlich auch. Darunter die Münze, Piranha Pflanze, der Bumerang und die Hupe, mit der man sogar den Stachi-Panzer abwehren kann! 60 Frames die Sekunde im 1 und 2 Spielermodus sind ein Traum und auch Online glänzt der Titel mit guten Servern und einem Turniermodus. Am 30. Mai werden die Karts auf die Strecke gebracht und ihr könnt alle mitfahren!

2014 Gold Cup Road Race #1 @ PIR race highlights. Data from mychron4 + GPS sensor rendered in video with Race Render 3.
First time I even sat in the shifter kart. Racing in Sprint Stock CR125 class which uses a Honda CR125 2-stroke dirt bike engine and the 6-speed gearbox that goes with it.
Only got 4 laps of driving on my first practice run in the dry with slicks on and the track was a bit damp. Next time it was raining and I ended up rear-ending a guy who spun out in front of me in the 2nd lap (wreck at 4:05). This bent a steering column and tie rod and I was unable to compete in the first race. Second race it was raining while I was in the pits so I kept the rain tires on but then it suddenly became sunny and dry while I was waiting on grid. The rain tires burned up after a couple laps and then I was pretty much just having fun drifting around all the corners with no rubber for the rest of the race. Check out my tires at 7:00, haha. Anyone who chose slicks was much faster than me but I did pretty well against most of the other people who chose rain tires, which was about half the starting grid.

Kart racing or karting is a variant of open-wheel motorsport with small, open, four-wheeled vehicles called karts, go-karts, or gearbox/shifter karts depending on the design. They are usually raced on scaled-down circuits. Karting is commonly perceived as the stepping stone to the higher and more expensive ranks of motorsports.
Karts vary widely in speed and some (known as Superkarts) can reach speeds exceeding 160 miles per hour (260 km/h), while go-karts intended for the general public in amusement parks may be limited to speeds of no more than 15 miles per hour (24 km/h). A KF1 kart, with a 125 cc 2-stroke engine and an overall weight including the driver of 150 kilograms has a top speed of 85 miles per hour (137 km/h). It takes a little more than 3 seconds to go from 0 to 60 mph with a 125 cc shifter kart (6 gears), with a top speed of 115 miles per hour (185 km/h) on long circuits.
Art Ingels is generally accepted to be the father of karting. A veteran hot rodder and a race car builder at Kurtis Kraft, he built the first kart in Southern California in 1956. Karting has rapidly spread to other countries, and currently has a large following in Europe.

COOL INFO: Kart was bought for $5,000 plus shipping. It has had several owners. Previous owner from Georgia owned kart for literally two weeks then re-listed on eBay citing it was the most ridiculous thing he'd ever driven and there weren't many places to use it. Originally this kart had 6 wheels (google images R1 go kart). It was drag raced and crashed due to the front wheels coming off the ground. One owner told the story of trying to get the major tire manufacturers to produce a tire that would allow the kart to attempt to go over 200mph and not blow up (find video below in description of tire blowing up with speedo reading 181mph). 150mph or higher is reached in fourth gear, there are six gears :). Kart has been sold and the new owner is putting paddle shifters and other goodies on it. The local police have had two driver suspects. Both suspects have been harassed/threatened by police. They think they know who the driver was, they're wrong. He still remains a mystery. You DO NOT have my permission to re-upload my "R1 Go Kart Passes A Cop" without my written permission. I have already filed copyright infringement claims against 5 channels for re-uploading my video for financial gain. This is a one of a kind custom frame built specifically for this engine. One of the previous owners told me the gentlemen that bought it from him had it up to 170-181mph. This kart is wicked. WATCH TILL THE END, A POLICE CAR PASSES IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION!! If your impatient to watch 10 minutes of video, skip to 7:50 and watch till the end for the best part. 2005 Yamaha R1 Sport Bike engine in a Beisse Shifter Kart. Around 180 HP, weighs about 220lbs. Previous owner had Kart up to 181 mph before a tire blew out. Using GoPro Hero High Def camera with adhesive mount. NOTE: The rear tires are worn out so the driver didn't do anything to crazy. The ending was edited out to protect the driver. Mario Kart 8 ist Nintendos 8. Teil der beliebten Funracer-Serie und soll der angeschlagenen Heimkonsole Wii U den Sprung zurück ins Leben ermöglichen. Erstmals in HD werden dem Spieler erneut 16 neue und 16 alte Strecken angeboten. Die Retro-Strecken glänzen hierbei mit teils enormer Überarbeitung. Nicht zuletzt wegen der Neuerung Schwerkraft. An bestimmten Stellen ist es nun auch möglich an Wänden und der Decke zu fahren. Was erstmal befremdlich wirkt, ist aber tatsächlich ein genialer Einfall. Neue Items gibt es natürlich auch. Darunter die Münze, Piranha Pflanze, der Bumerang und die Hupe, mit der man sogar den Stachi-Panzer abwehren kann! 60 Frames die Sekunde im 1 und 2 Spielermodus sind ein Traum und auch Online glänzt der Titel mit guten Servern und einem Turniermodus. Am 30. Mai werden die Karts auf die Strecke gebracht und ihr könnt alle mitfahren!

First time I even sat in the shifter kart. Racing in Sprint Stock CR125 class which uses a Honda CR125 2-stroke dirt bike engine and the 6-speed gearbox that goes with it.
Only got 4 laps of driving on my first practice run in the dry with slicks on and the track was a bit damp. Next time it was raining and I ended up rear-ending a guy who spun out in front of me in the 2nd lap (wreck at 4:05). This bent a steering column and tie rod and I was unable to compete in the first race. Second race it was raining while I was in the pits so I kept the rain tires on but then it suddenly became sunny and dry while I was waiting on grid. The rain tires burned up after a couple laps and then I was pretty much just having fun drifting around all the corners with no rubber for the rest of the race. Check out my tires at 7:00, haha. Anyone who chose slicks was much faster than me but I did pretty well against most of the other people who chose rain tires, which was about half the starting grid.

COOL INFO: Kart was bought for $5,000 plus shipping. It has had several owners. Previous owner from Georgia owned kart for literally two weeks then re-listed on eBay citing it was the most ridiculous thing he'd ever driven and there weren't many places to use it. Originally this kart had 6 wheels (google images R1 go kart). It was drag raced and crashed due to the front wheels coming off the ground. One owner told the story of trying to get the major tire manufacturers to produce a tire that would allow the kart to attempt to go over 200mph and not blow up (find video below in description of tire blowing up with speedo reading 181mph). 150mph or higher is reached in fourth gear, there are six gears :). Kart has been sold and the new owner is putting paddle shifters and other goodies on it. The local police have had two driver suspects. Both suspects have been harassed/threatened by police. They think they know who the driver was, they're wrong. He still remains a mystery.
You DO NOT have my permission to re-upload my "R1 Go Kart Passes A Cop" without my written permission. I have already filed copyright infringement claims against 5 channels for re-uploading my video for financial gain.
This is a one of a kind custom frame built specifically for this engine. One of the previous owners told me the gentlemen that bought it from him had it up to 170-181mph. This kart is wicked.
WATCH TILL THE END, A POLICE CAR PASSES IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION!! If your impatient to watch 10 minutes of video, skip to 7:50 and watch till the end for the best part.
2005 Yamaha R1 Sport Bike engine in a Beisse Shifter Kart. Around 180 HP, weighs about 220lbs. Previous owner had Kart up to 181 mph before a tire blew out. Using GoPro Hero High Def camera with adhesive mount.
NOTE: The rear tires are worn out so the driver didn't do anything to crazy. The ending was edited out to protect the driver.
Location: Northern Michigan

Growing up in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada, Josh Cartu always had a need for speed and adventure. He dreamed of one day becoming an astronaut or a fighter pilot. When neither one of those came to fruition, he settled for the adrenaline rush that speeding on the ground had to offer by becoming a racecar driver with Ferrari/AFCorse Racing ...
