Grass Lake may refer to a place or an educational institution:
Grasses are monocotyledonous, usually herbaceous flowering plants in the family Poaceae (also called Gramineae). They have stems that are hollow except at the nodes and narrow alternate leaves borne in two ranks. The lower part of each leaf encloses the stem, forming a leaf-sheath. Grasses include cereals, bamboo and the grasses of lawns (turf) and grassland.
Uses for grasses include food (as grain, sprouted grain, shoots, rhizomes and sugar), drink (sugarcane juice, rum, beer, whisky, vodka), pasture for livestock, thatch, paper, fuel, clothing, insulation, timber for fencing, furniture, scaffolding and construction, sports turf, basket weaving and many others.
Grasses include some of the most versatile plant life-forms. They became widespread toward the end of the Cretaceous period, and fossilized dinosaur dung (coprolites) have been found containing phytoliths of a variety that include grasses that are related to modern rice and bamboo. Grasses have adapted to conditions in lush rain forests, dry deserts, cold mountains and even intertidal habitats, and are now the most widespread plant type; grass is a valuable source of food and energy for all sorts of wildlife and organics.
A lake is an area of variable size filled with water, localized in a basin, that is surrounded by land, apart from any river or other outlet that serves to feed or drain the lake. Lakes lie on land and are not part of the ocean (except for sea lochs in Scotland and Ireland), and therefore are distinct from lagoons, and are also larger and deeper than ponds, though there are no official or scientific definitions. Lakes can be contrasted with rivers or streams, which are usually flowing. However most lakes are fed and drained by rivers and streams.
Natural lakes are generally found in mountainous areas, rift zones, and areas with ongoing glaciation. Other lakes are found in endorheic basins or along the courses of mature rivers. In some parts of the world there are many lakes because of chaotic drainage patterns left over from the last Ice Age. All lakes are temporary over geologic time scales, as they will slowly fill in with sediments or spill out of the basin containing them.
Many lakes are artificial and are constructed for industrial or agricultural use, for hydro-electric power generation or domestic water supply, or for aesthetic or recreational purposes.
Grass Lake, a village in Jackson County in the U.S. state of Michigan, was named for the shallow, marshy lake just to its north. The population was 1,173 at the 2010 census.
Today, the greater Grass Lake area includes the Village of Grass Lake, Grass Lake Township, and parts of the Waterloo Recreational Area north of I-94.
In 1842, the Michigan Central Railroad bypassed the original village and built a depot 1.5 miles (2.4 km) to the west when an offer of $1.50 an acre was offered (compared to $2.00 an acre at the previous city center) . The village was relocated to this new location - its current location - to be closer to the rail depot and some of the original buildings were relocated to the new site.
In 1887, Grass Lake was awarded a stone depot designed by the same architects and with stone from the same quarry as the Ann Arbor station. The historic Romanesque Whistle Stop Depot offers displays of local interest and is available for rental.
The Grass Lake Historical Society also operates the Coe House Museum. The home was constructed in 1871 for Henry Van Winkle, who owned and operated a hardware store and farm equipment dealership in Grass Lake. In 1972 the home was donated to the historical society by Mrs. Myrta Coe. This Tuscan Vernacular home has been furnished to represent a typical home of the Victorian Era.

We took our kayaks to a new lake in Texas that we had never been to to go summer bass fishing. The lake was full or grass including a lot of reeds and big patches of pond weed around the bank. The largemouth bass were deep in the grass, so we had to use frog fishing and flipping to target the fish. Craig had a big bass hit his frog but it broke the braided line. If we go back, I'm sure we will fish the thick grass with frogs all day. I share some tips on fishing braided line while frog fishing and my bass flipping set up from today. I'm also doing a giveaway of a bundle of bass fishing baits and a Shimano topwater fishing rod in the video! THANKS FOR WATCHING THE MONDAY VLOG! Grass Lake is a village in Jackson County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 1,082 at the 2000 census. Grass Lake was first settled in 1829 by David Sterling, whose family moved here from Niagara County, New York. In 1842, the coming of the railroad helped make Grass Lake a permanent community when they built a station here: it stands, well-preserved, along the still active rail line to the east of town.

I’m so worn out
I need silence and a soft spot
A deep breath and a reset button
I need to reconnect with you
So let’s turn down the lights
And just sit here a while
I need to see if I can still make you smile
I want you to know
That you’re still everything I need
I’m happy just to be here with you
Just to hold your hand
Just to see you smile
When I tell you that
I’m happy just to be here with you
Even for a short time
Just until the next time
We steal a moment
I love your hair
I love the way you smell
Your mouth tastes like bubblegum
And you sweat
‘'cause it means so much to you
Let’s make a promise
To each other tonight
That we’ll get our priorities right
I’m happy just to be here with you…
Do you love me?
Do you need me?
Am I the one that you still dream about?
That you can’t live without?
I still love you
I still need you
‘'cause through it all you’re still the one I can’t imagine life without the love I built my world around
