A disk compression software utility increases the amount of information that can be stored on a hard disk drive of given size. Unlike a file compression utility which compresses only specified files - and which requires the user designate the files to be compressed - a on-the-fly disk compression utility works automatically without the user needing to be aware of its existence.
When information needs to be stored to the hard disk, the utility will compress the information. When information needs to be read, the utility will decompress the information. A disk compression utility overrides the standard operating system routines. Since all software applications access the hard disk using these routines, they continue to work after disk compression has been installed.
Disk compression utilities were popular especially in the early 1990s, when microcomputer hard disks were still relatively small (20 to 80 megabytes). Hard drives were also rather expensive at the time, costing roughly 10 USD per megabyte. For the users who bought disk compression applications, the software proved to be in the short term a more economic means of acquiring more disk space as opposed to replacing their current drive with a larger one. A good disk compression utility could, on average, double the available space with negligible speed loss. Disk compression fell into disuse by the late 1990s, as advances in hard drive technology and manufacturing led to increased capacities and lower prices.
"Jam" is a song by Michael Jackson. The song is the fourth single from his 1991 album Dangerous. It appears as track one on Dangerous and track two on his 2009 This Is It compilation album. The single was re-released in 2006 as part of Jackson's Visionary: The Video Singles collection and it was remixed to the Cirque du Soleil's Immortal World Tour, releasing that remix on the soundtrack album. "Jam" is a mix of aggressive hard funk, dance and rap, or funk hip hop. The bridge features a rap performed by Heavy D (of the group Heavy D & the Boyz). The music video of the song featured NBA legend Michael Jordan (the other "MJ"). The song was also featured on the Chicago Bulls'—Jordan's team at that time—1992 NBA Championship video "Untouchabulls" and was also used in many promotional ads of the NBA in the said season. Despite this heavy form of promotion, the single only reached #26 in the United States. The song re-entered the UK charts in 2006, reaching number 22.
JamRadio (formerly Jam 1575) is Hull University Union's student campus radio station. As of 2012, the station broadcasts twelve hours per day throughout the year. It was originally broadcast on 1575 medium wave (MW), but now airs solely on the Internet. The station is overseen by a subcommittee of Hull University Union's Media and Marketing Committee. All presenters, DJs and executive committee members are students of the university and JamRadio is a member of the Student Radio Association.
In September 2013, the station was rebranded and relaunched as Hullfire Radio.
The radio station, then known as "URH" (which stood for "University Radio Hull"), began in 1979. It originally broadcast on an induction loop system around Hull University's residence halls and through speakers within the University Union.
The original induction loop system was installed in the Lawns (a hall of residence at Hull University) as a third year project by engineering students. By 1983 the system was fully operational. To cut costs, the students used Coca-Cola bottles as insulation. As a result, by 1993, the loop induction system was no longer functional. In 1994, the engineering team carried out a comprehensive survey of the system and were able to partially restore it to several of the Lawns halls, as well as fitting a new transmitter to Ferens Hall. The induction loop system was abandoned in 1997 after the award of the LPAM licence.

In both astrology and historical astronomy, the zodiac (Greek: ζῳδιακός, zōidiakos) is a circle of twelve 30° divisions of celestial longitude that are centered upon the ecliptic, the apparent path of the Sun across the celestial sphere over the course of the year. The paths of the Moon and visible planets also remain close to the ecliptic, within the belt of the zodiac, which extends 8-9° north or south of the ecliptic, as measured in celestial latitude. Because the divisions are regular, they do not correspond exactly to the boundaries of the twelve constellations after which they are named.
Historically, these twelve divisions are called signs. Essentially, the zodiac is a celestial coordinate system, or more specifically an ecliptic coordinate system, which takes the ecliptic as the origin of latitude, and the position of the Sun at vernal equinox as the origin of longitude.
The zodiac was in use by the Roman era, based on concepts inherited by Hellenistic astronomy from Babylonian astronomy of the Chaldean period (mid-1st millennium BC), which, in turn, derived from an earlier system of lists of stars along the ecliptic. The construction of the zodiac is described in Ptolemy's vast 2nd century AD work, the Almagest.

In your white lace
And your wedding bells
You look the picture
Of contented new wealth
But from the on-looking fool
Who believed your lies
I wish this grave would open up
And swallow me alive
For the bitterest pill
Is hard to swallow
The love I gave hangs
In sad colored, mocking shadows
When the wheel of fortune broke
You fell to me
Out of gray skies
To change my misery
The vacant spot
Your beating heart took its place
But now I watch smoke
Leave my lips and fill an empty room
For the bitterest pill
Is hard to swallow
The love I gave hangs
In sad colored, mocking shadows
The bitterest pill
Is mine to take
If I took if for a hundred years
I couldn't feel any more hate
The bitterest pill
Is mine to take
If I took if for a hundred years
I couldn't feel any more hate
Now autumn's breeze blows
Summer's leaves through my life
Twisted and broken dawn
No days with sunlight
The dying spark
You left your mark on me
The promise of your kiss
But with someone else
For the bitterest pill
Is mine to swallow
The love I gave hangs
In sad colored, mocking shadows
The bitterest pill
Is mine to take
If I took if for a hundred years
I couldn't feel anymore ill
The bitterest pill
Is mine to take
If I took if for a hundred years
I couldn't feel anymore ill
The bitterest pill
Is mine to take
If I took if for a hundred years
I couldn't feel anymore ill
The bitterest pill
Is mine to take
If I took if for a hundred years
