Jane Turner (born 1 December 1960, Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia) is an Australian actress, comedian and Logie Award winning comedy writer.
Turner has appeared in many popular Australian TV programs, namely Prisoner in a straight dramatic role, with comedy roles in sketch comedy programs The D-Generation, Fast Forward, Full Frontal, Big Girl's Blouse and Something Stupid.
On Fast Forward Turner (Svetta) recorded a song with Peter Moon (Victor), called "Don't Do Your Soviet Bloc".
In the 2000s Turner has received accolades for her performance in Kath & Kim, an ABC (later Seven Network) comedy series which she created, wrote, produced and starred in with her longtime friend and collaborator, Gina Riley. Kath & Kim became the most successful ABC syndicated show in Australian television history. Turner plays Kath, one of the leading roles in the show and an occasional character, Prude, a shop keeper at the Fountain Gate Shopping Centre.
Turner made her West End theatrical debut in the Australian hit play Holding the Man at London's Trafalgar Studios in April 2010.
Jane Turner entered the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) as a Special Agent in October 1978. She was assigned to the Seattle Division and became the first female SWAT member and the first female Profile Coordinator. She was involved in the capture of Christopher Boyce (Flight of the Falcon), and in the Green River Killer investigation.
Turner was also assigned to the Organized Crime squad in New York City, and was involved as a Psychological Profiler in the Abortion Clinic Bombings and the Central Park Preppie Murder. Turner pursued a degree in Forensic Psychology, and left the New York Division to become the first female Senior Resident Agent (SRA) in the FBI, assigned to Minot, North Dakota. Turner, as an Advanced Police Instructor, taught local, state and federal law enforcement in Criminal Profiling and Crime Scene Assessment, the Profiling of Sexual Offenders, and Interviewing Child Victims.
During the 13 years that Turner worked in North Dakota, she established herself as an expert in child crimes. In 1999, Turner brought to the attention of her management team serious misconduct concerning failures to investigate and prosecute crimes against children in Indian country and in the Minot, North Dakota community. Turner also reported on misconduct related to the potential criminal theft of property from the 9/11 Ground Zero crime scene in New York City by Minneapolis FBI personnel.

Plot: An American archaeologist is in Egypt with his pregnant wife, searching for the tomb of a long-lost Egyptian queen. At the same moment he discovers the tomb and opens it's accursed seal, his wife gives birth to his daughter. Years later it transpires that the malevolent spirit of the Egyptian queen left the tomb just as he was entering, and possessed his baby girl. As the truth becomes clear, the archaeologist realizes that he must destroy his daughter in a ceremonial ritual, before she uses her awesome powers to threaten the safety of mankind.
