Spanish language taxicab traffic in the
CB radio band (the LEGAL CB radio band!) 26.965-27.
405 MHz. Most of the time, taxicabs are heard outside the legal 40 channel allocation, usually from 25-26 MHz and from 27-28 MHz and then into
10 meters from 26-30 MHz and up into
VHF low band
...usually in FM mode but some AM activity has been heard from
Brazil on 33 MHz band.
The 25-30 MHz (25000 kHz to 30000 kHz) portion of HF (3-30MHz -
3000 kHz to 30000 kHz) supports both local communications and long-distance skip skywave propagation conditions. The 25-28 MHz section is allocated to a variety of services. The 28-29.7 MHz section is allocated to amateur (ham) radio worldwide as the
10 meter band but it suffers from heavy misuse abuse and interference from CB-like communications and a general lack of interest by ham operators. "Export radios" - often sold as "10-meter transceivers" - This can include anything from the "uppers and lowers" 26.
515 to 27.855 MHz, the "standard" 6-band coverage of 25.
615 to 28.
305 MHz (or 26.065 to 28.755 MHz), the "12-band" coverage from 24.265 to 29.655 MHz or the "RU" mode or "
Russian" export mode which is either 25.615 to 28.305 or 25.615 to 30.105 MHz. Some of these transceivers cover up to 31 or 32 MHz depending on modifications and the part of the world the radio is marketed in.

555 MHz, 27.615 MHz, 27.635 MHz, 27.655 MHz, 27.765 MHz, and 27.860 MHz), there are no FCC licensed business users of any of the frequencies between 27.54 MHz and 28 MHz. There are, however, licensed and active users of the business radio pool (FCC rules Part 90, land mobile) frequencies in the 27.41 to 27.54 MHz and 29.7 to 30 MHz bands.
