Side (Greek: Σίδη Side, Turkish: Side) was an ancient Greek city in Anatolia, in the region of Pamphylia, in what is now Antalya province, on the southern Mediterranean coast of Turkey. It is now a resort town and one of the best-known classical sites in Turkey, near Manavgat and the village of Selimiye, 75 km from Antalya) in the province of Antalya.
It is located on the eastern part of the Pamphylian coast, which lies about 20 km east of the mouth of the Eurymedon River. Today, as in antiquity, the ancient city is situated on a small north-south peninsula about 1 km long and 400 m across.
Strabo and Arrian both record that Side was founded by Greek settlers from Cyme in Aeolis, a region of western Anatolia. This most likely occurred in the 7th century BC. Possessing a good harbour for small-craft boats, Side's natural geography made it one of the most important places in Pamphylia and one of the most important trade centres in the region. According to Arrian, when settlers from Cyme came to Side, they could not understand the dialect. After a short while, the influence of this indigenous tongue was so great that the newcomers forgot their native Greek and started using the language of Side. Excavations have revealed several inscriptions written in this language. The inscriptions, dating from the 3rd and 2nd centuries BC, remain undeciphered, but testify that the local language was still in use several centuries after colonisation. Another object found in the excavations at Side, a basalt column base from the 7th century BC and attributable to the Neo-Hittites, provides further evidence of the site's early history. The name Side is Anatolian in origin and means pomegranate.

System of a Down, also known by the acronym SOAD and often shortened to System, is a rock band from Southern California, formed in 1994. It consists of Serj Tankian (lead vocals, keyboards, rhythm guitar), Daron Malakian (guitar, vocals), Shavo Odadjian (bass, background vocals) and John Dolmayan (drums).
The band achieved commercial success with the release of five studio albums; from which three debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. System of a Down has been nominated for four Grammy Awards, and won the award in 2006 for Best Hard Rock Performance for the song "B.Y.O.B.". The group went on hiatus in August 2006, but reunited in November 2010, embarking on a worldwide tour in 2011.
Serj Tankian, Daron Malakian, and Shavo Odadjian all attended Rose and Alex Pilibos Armenian School while children, although because of their eight-year age difference they did not meet until 1992 while working on separate projects at the same recording studio. They formed a band named Soil with Tankian on vocals and keyboards, Malakian on vocals and guitar, Dave Hakopyan (who later played in The Apex Theory/Mt. Helium) on bass and Domingo "Dingo" Laranio on drums. The band hired Shavo Odadjian (another Rose and Alex Pilibos alumnus) as manager, although he eventually joined Soil as rhythm guitarist. After three years, only one live show, and one jam session recording, Hakopyan and Laranio quit the band, feeling that it was not going anywhere.

こういうのは人によって変わるので、好きな歌が入ってなかったら申し訳ないです。
使用している画像は歌のイメージで決めているので
その歌がそのタイトルで使われていたものという事ではありません。
一押しはツッコミどころ満載で楽しい、ちびムーンの歌です。
Sで登場した時のドタバタしたキャラがよく表現されています。
聴いていてつい「止まらないのかよ！」などとツッコんでしまいますね。
それと無印前期のイメージの「ほっとけないよ」が素晴らしいです。
こういうキャラの関係性を描写している歌...コロムビア伝統の
ヒット曲集的なキャラソン・挿入歌がもっと欲しかったです…キャラ同士のデュエットとかですね。
本当に最初のアルバムだけなので...
珍しく石原慎一さんが甘ったるい声を出してるデュエットはうさぎと衛の歌かと思いきや、
歌詞がどう聴いてもはるかとみちるの事？なのが笑いどころですかね。
セーラームーンに関しては全体的にテレビのOP・EDより
映画やゲーム版主題歌や挿入歌などの方が好きなのですが、
「"らしく"いきましょ」と「セーラースターソング」は別格です。
前者は歌詞がとても独特でそこが特に気に入ってます。
歌っているMeuさんとは、セイントテールやレッツ＆ゴーの歌を歌っていた梶谷美由紀さんの別名ですね。
とても可愛らしく魅力的な歌声です。
後者は少女らしくも凛々しさに満ちている所が好きですね。
なかよし発の少女向けアニメという体でスタートしたシリーズですが
男女問わず受け入れられたことでコミケでも空前絶後の大ジャンルとなり、
ファンも一体となって盛り上がっていましたね。
あの只中に居られたことは今でも忘れがたい良い思い出です。

In part three of my travel video tour series from Maui, Hawaii, I start off the day by heading back up the side of Haleakala Volcano, then lunging my body of the side of the hillside (okay, I was paragliding). As I floated thousands of feet above ground, I was given a unique viewpoint of the island, and even lived to tell about it (and make this video). Next I head out onto the open water on a sailing outrigger canoe (a canoe with a lateral support on its side in traditional Polynesian fashion), and take to the water to go snorkeling, which included a couple sea turtle sightings. The enclosed market contains more than four thousand shops within its seemingly endless halls and it is possible to buy almost anything here. A vivid world full of the aromas of the orient. Near to the west coast of Turkey situated between Troy and Ephesos is one of the most famous and well preserved ancient cities of this region, Pergamon. This, in the Hellenic era, was an ancient cosmopolitan city the traces of which are still visible today. Marmaris is situated on the Turkish Riviera and was once well protected by a mediaeval fortress. In 1522 Sultan Süleyman The Splendid enlarged the small castle of the former Roman rulers as he wished to conquer the island of Rhodes. Ankara is the capital of the Republic of Turkey and this once Anatolian provincial backwater is today one of the country’s most modern cities and is a vibrant world metropolis. The biggest mosque in Turkey is the Kocatepe Camii which is both a symbol of the devoutness of the Turkish people as well as being an important centre of communication for the entire city. Turkey is a country of many faces, with fairytale-like mosques and palaces, legendary ancient cities and fascinating landscapes. The East Side Gallery is the longest remaining strip of the of the former dividing wall between East and West Berlin. Today the 1.3 kilometer long wall stands as a memorial to freedom and it is covered in art and graffiti. Right now we're visiting Brandenburg Gate. This gate dates back to the 18th Century. We're here at Tiergarten, one of the biggest parks in the city. MauerPark is a hipster hangout. Every Sunday people flock to this park and spend the day barbecuing, listening to music, enjoying a few beers, and simply having a good time. There's a popular flea market where you can pick up old vinyls and clothes, and if you head over to the Bear Pit you can catch some karaoke and musical performances. If you want to spot some cool street art, then head over to Friedrichshain. You can't come to Berlin and not eat a Currywurst! This is the city's most popular fast food snack. The sausage is served with a ketchup and curry powder concoction. Up next we're at the Reichstag building which has a pretty cool glass dome on top. This dome is actually open to visitors and it offers 360 degree views of the city. Today we're visiting Tempelhof, a re-purposed airport here in Berlin for leisure activities and sports. If you enjoy museums and art galleries you'll want to visit Berlin's Museum Island. They actually have five different museums here and if you get a daily pass for 18 Euros you get access to all five. We are now visiting the Holocaust Memorial in Berlin. It is also known as the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe. Charlottenburg Palace is the largest palace in Berlin and the only surviving royal residence in the city. Checkpoint Charlie was one of the crossing points between East Berlin and West Berlin during the Cold War. Located near Alexanderplatz, The Berlin TV Tower offers a great lookout over the city. Chocolate! Ritter Sport is a chocolate brand that is sold all over Germany, and while in Berlin we couldn't resist sampling a few of the different varieties. Berlin Cathedral is located on Museum Island and it's one of the most beautiful churches in the city. If Currywurst is to your liking, you'll want to check out this quirky museum devoted to Berlin's favorite sausage. Renting a bike is a great way to get around the city. Most places will rent out bikes at 10 Euros per day. For a leisurely afternoon, hop on a boat and enjoy a tour down the River Spree. Of course, you cannot come to Berlin and not eat a Wurst or a sausage. The Friedrichshain flea market takes place every Sunday and it's a great place for people watching and a little browsing. The Germans sure know how to enjoy a hearty breakfast, and we recommend you try it too. Breakfast usually offers a wide sampling of loafs and bread rolls, accompanied with various deli cuts and cheese.
We couldn't resist visiting yet another cat cafe while we were in Berlin.
While in Berlin we enjoyed a hearty meal of Schnitzel. This thin strip of meat is coated in flour, eggs, and breadcrumbs, before being deep-fried. You can order it with a side of mashed potatoes or German noodles known as Spaetzle. It's quite easy to get around Berlin using the U-bahn and S-bahn system. In Berlin, there is a big Turkish population and that means there is awesome Turkish street food. And that's Berlin for you! A city that has risen from the ashes of the war, which is now bursting with art, music, and life.

2011 has been such an amazing year! This Summer I met many of you on my Gypsy Wagon Road Trip as I taught at the Omega Institute, LilyDale Assembly, Learning Annex and in cities along the way like Pittsburgh and Charleston, SC.
I also expanded my courses into online versions so that anyone who wanted to study with me could do so online from the comfort of their home and in their pajamas if they wanted, which sounds like a great idea to me! :-) These courses are now offered on The Daily Om and through my work on John Edward's Infinite Quest.
This Fall, it was a privilege and a pleasure to see two of my books come out this year, which are Ghosthunting North Carolina and The Awakened Aura: Experiencing the Evolution of Your Energy Body.
In September, Ghosthunting North Carolina hit the stores and I hit the road traveling and sharing the haunted history of North Carolina beginning at the SIBA Conference in Charleston, SC and then traveling to book stores, museums, private events and Costco's across the state of North Carolina. Things wrapped up on Halloween weekend as I appeared on NBC 17 to discuss the haunted history of North Carolina.
Then in November, The Awakened Aura book hit stores and again I've been reaching out to speak about this book and share what I have been seeing in the auric fields for the past decade.
Our auras are actually evolving and creating new patterns and structures in order to assist with our conscious evolution. I'll be speaking and teaching more about this aura awakening in the new year and I hope that you'll join me as I travel and teach.

In part three of my travel video tour series from Maui, Hawaii, I start off the day by heading back up the side of Haleakala Volcano, then lunging my body of the side of the hillside (okay, I was paragliding). As I floated thousands of feet above ground, I was given a unique viewpoint of the island, and even lived to tell about it (and make this video).
Next I head out onto the open water on a sailing outrigger canoe (a canoe with a lateral support on its side in traditional Polynesian fashion), and take to the water to go snorkeling, which included a couple sea turtle sightings.
Last, I finish up the day with fish tacos at Coconut's (which, to this day, are probably some of the best fish tacos I've ever had), and shave ice for dessert, the classic Hawaii dessert consisting of shaved ice inundated with flavored syrups.

In part three of my travel video tour series from Maui, Hawaii, I start off the day by heading back up the side of Haleakala Volcano, then lunging my body of the side of the hillside (okay, I was paragliding). As I floated thousands of feet above ground, I was given a unique viewpoint of the island, and even lived to tell about it (and make this video).
Next I head out onto the open water on a sailing outrigger canoe (a canoe with a lateral support on its side in traditional Polynesian fashion), and take to the water to go snorkeling, which included a couple sea turtle sightings.
Last, I finish up the day with fish tacos at Coconut's (which, to this day, are probably some of the best fish tacos I've ever had), and shave ice for dessert, the classic Hawaii dessert consisting of shaved ice inundated with flavored syrups.

Here are some Things to do in NYC :) This 1st of a "Things to do in NYC" is the BASICS. I will do more in depth videos on neighborhoods like Harlem, Brooklyn, Lower East Side which will include shopping, entertainment, eating, all that :) But for now I hope you find this helpful and excited about exploring NYC. I didn't "forget" to list anything. This is just the first video and trust their are a million things to do. Sorry for not including Brooklyn. Summer in NYC isn't really summer until you get your butt on a rooftop. My pick was Jimmy Rooftop. Sunday's after 3pm are bomb! Amazing music courtesy of DJ Cato. I believe it is doorman discretion, which means, dress your best and don't travel with a bunch of dudes. You get an amazing view of the sun setting over the Hudson River and you get to splash around in the pool if you so choose. I chose this spot because I used to work here and loved it!

Yes! Go to Church! After you party it up Saturday night or Sunday afternoon bring your sinful behind to this awesome church! You don't have to be religious to attend. This is a non-denominal church and people from all over the world come here for the amazing sermons and not to mention the interior. This Church is a converted theatre and a must see. It didn’t take long after people saw Star Wars: The Force Awakens for people to start saying that the movie from director J.J. Abrams as essentially a remake of...
It didn’t take long after people saw Star Wars: The Force Awakens for people to start saying that the movie from director J.J. Abrams as essentially a remake of Star Wars: A New Hope, just with some new characters, added story elements and a new score. There’s essentially no argument against that, but it’s up to fans as to whether or not they’re fine with accepting that.
However, if there are any people out there who just don’t see the similarities between The Force Awakens and A New Hope, a side-by-side comparison of both movies has been put together online, and it’s pretty much an undeniable fact that the new movie borrowed a lot from the old.
Even though this is just a visual comparison, since we can see the story beats unfolding, it’s easy to see just how much of the narrative is shared between the two films. The footage from A New Hope gets a little out of order every now and then, specifically comparing the scene when Luke Skywalker, dressed as a Stormtrooper, rescues Princess Leia to Fnn rescuing Poe Dameron from the First Order.
Again, the question is whether or not you’re okay with The Force Awakens borrowing so much from A New Hope. Personally, I think this is exactly what needed to be done in order to get certain fans on board with the next chapter of the Star Wars saga. It gives fans something that is familiar enough for them to have nostalgia for while also giving them enough new to take off in different direction with Rian Johnson in Star Wars: Episode VIII.
For me, it’s Rey, Finn, Poe and Kylo Ren that have me itching to see where we’re headed next. But these characters needed to play with a little of the old and familiar in order for a lot of the fans to really get on board. As a huge Star Wars fan, I have every confidence that Rian Johnson will start to veer away from the familiar and explore uncharted territory in the Star Wars universe. But The Force Awakens is a good place to start as we embark on some new adventures.

I'm not a fan of U2 and this, which isn't precisely their most acclaimed work, is the only album from them that I really like. Particularly the first side, which is what you can listen to here. And having been released in 1993, during the CD rise and vinyl waning era, nowadays "Zooropa" on vinyl is very difficult to find at a reasonable price. Even worse taking into account that most copies offered online (the colored vinyl ones) are counterfeits. It's a shame that, as a U2 non-fan, I wasn't interested in this record when it was released. I held it many times when crate-digging at the local stores back in 1993, but didn't even listen to it. And now it's the only truly enjoyable U2 release to me. This copy is an original Colombian pressing in near mint condition that I recently could find at a decent price. I wasn't looking for a Colombian pressing since I've always complained about the quality of records made in my country (specially from this company -Discos Philips-, which I've always hated for being the most disrespectful with foreign product of them all). And although they still couldn't write the last track's name correctly ("The Wonderer" instead of "The Wanderer"), I think this is a very good product (for Colombian standards, at least). I'm very happy with my purchase taking into account that, again, this really is a hard-to-find item. So, I want to share my (only) favorite run of U2 songs with all of you.
