The Sabines (/ˈseɪbaɪn/; Latin: Sabini; Ancient Greek: Σαβῖνοι) were an Italic tribe that lived in the central Appennines of ancient Italy, also inhabiting Latium north of the Anio before the founding of Rome. The above names, English, Latin and Greek, are all exonyms.
The Sabine language is scantily attested, mainly by glosses of ancient commentators on classical authors and inscriptions, where the commentator gives an alternative word he says is the Sabine. In recent times one or possibly two Sabine inscriptions have been tentatively identified. Based on all the evidence the Linguist List classifies Sabine, again tentatively, as a member of the Umbrian Group of Italic languages of Indo-European family.
The Sabines divided into two populations just after the founding of Rome, which is described by Roman legend. The division, however it came about, is not legendary. The population closest to Rome transplanted itself to the new city and united with the pre-existing citizenry, beginning a new heritage that descended from the Sabine but was also Latinized. The second population remained a mountain tribal state, coming finally to war against Rome for their independence, along with all the other Italic tribes, losing, and being assimilated into the Roman Republic.
Thomas Jacob "Jack" Black (born August 28, 1969) is an American comedian, actor and musician. He makes up one half of the comedy and satirical rock duo Tenacious D. The group has three albums as well as a television series and a film. His acting career is extensive, starring primarily as bumbling, cocky, but internally self-conscious outsiders in comedy films. He was a member of the Frat Pack, a group of comedians who have appeared together in several Hollywood films, and has been nominated for a Golden Globe award. He has also won an MTV Movie Award, and a Nickelodeon Kids Choice Award as well as hosting the 2006, 2008, and 2011 Kids Choice Awards.
Black was born in Santa Monica, California, the son of two satellite engineers, Judith (née Cohen), who worked on the Hubble Space Telescope, and Thomas William Black. His mother is Jewish and his father converted to Judaism (Black attended Hebrew school). On The Tonight Show, he said his surname may have come from the occupational name Blacksmith. Black's parents divorced when he was 10; Black moved to Culver City with his father and frequently visited his mother’s home. As a child, Black appeared in a commercial for the Activision game Pitfall! in 1982, which was later shown during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live and again on The Tonight Show with Conan O' Brien. When Black entered high school, his parents enrolled him at the Poseidon School, a private secondary school engineered specifically for students struggling in the traditional school system. Black also attended the Crossroads School, where he excelled in drama. He later attended UCLA but dropped out during his sophomore year to pursue a career in entertainment, at which point his father discontinued his financial support.[citation needed] Fellow UCLA alumnus Tim Robbins later cast Black in Bob Roberts. He also had recurring roles on the HBO sketch comedy series Mr. Show.

Plot: 'The system is simple: Word, Rap, Fall.' Word Step 1: A Wrongman, once in the system, puts the 'word' out on the street, spreading false rumors about his (so-called) criminal activities, drawing the police's attention away from the real thing. He commits no crimes- all he does is look guilty. 'When you're a Wrongman, you're the Devil without Hell.' Rap Step 2: A Wrongman arranges his own arrest, but makes sure that the evidence is not enough to convict and imprison him. He beats the 'rap' and the police, baited and frustrated, continue their pursuit. Meanwhile, the real criminals operate with impunity. 'Cameras everywhere, people asking about my private life, big money for whoever gets dirt on me. I'm on TV, the front page too. Hell - I feel like a movie star.' Fall Step 3: A Wrongman is arrested, tried, convicted and imprisoned. He takes the 'Fall' for his client. His sentence: always the minimum. His reward: millions. 'You have to be there. You have to watch it happen. So when the police ask you - they can smell the guilt on you. They can see it in your body. You were there.' But if a Wrongman breaks his contract, if he allows the system to be compromised or threatened in any way, if he goes back on his 'Word', fails to beat a 'Rap' or refuses to take a 'Fall', then he is considered a liability, a threat, cut off. He is Standalone. Standalone Once a Wrongman is Standalone, every gang in the city will focus its attention on destroying him in order to protect the system. If you are Standalone - you disappear. 'The last thing you ever want to be is your only friend.'
