Pianist Alice Sara Ott's new album "Nightfall" gives us a glimpse of her thought process, which goes beyond consideration of the musico-historical significance of the works in question, beyond her artistic interpretation of the scores and her desire for technical perfection. On a higher, more abstract level, her readings of the shimmering ambiguities central to these works mirror the dichotomy of all human emotions, as well as shining a light on her personal fascination with the psychological fissures and contradictions that mark each and every one of us, and which are just as hard to capture as the changing moods of the complex, filigree music of Debussy, Satie and Ravel.

Ott (record producer)
Ott (born 12 April 1968 in London, England) is a British record producer and musician who has worked with Sinéad O'Connor, Embrace, The Orb, and Brian Eno, and has achieved recognition since 2002 for his own psychedelic dub tracks and his collaborations with Simon Posford (Hallucinogen / Shpongle). He has released two albums on Twisted Records: Blumenkraft (2003), Skylon (2008) and two albums on Ottsonic: Mir (2011) and Fairchildren (2015).
Career
Since the early 2000s, Ott has produced, mixed and recorded music released on Twisted Records, including various collaborations with founder Simon Posford. His first major contribution to Twisted was the record Hallucinogen – In Dub, on which he remixed six classic Hallucinogen songs. In May 2003 he released his own album, Blumenkraft, on Twisted; it was reviewed by The Wire. His work has also been featured in releases from the record label Liquid Sound Design (now known as Liquid Sound, run by Martin Glover), especially those compilations produced by Humphrey Bacchus during his time at the label. He followed up his debut album in January 2008 with Skylon, followed by Mir in March 2011.

Toyota Yaris WRC driver Ott Tänak leads Rally Italia Sardegna by 25.9 seconds going into the final day, after surging to the front with a superb clean sweep of six stage wins on Saturday.
The longest day of the rally consisted of 142.42 competitive kilometres across two loops of three stages, with tyre wear expected to be a major consideration in warm temperatures on rough gravel roads. After his strong Friday at the front of the road order, Tänak began Saturday in third overall, and opted to take a mix of medium and hard-compound tyres during the morning when his rivals chose only hards.
