Cardfight!! Vanguard (Japanese: カードファイト!! ヴァンガード, Hepburn: Kādofaito!! Vangādo) is a Japanese media franchise created in collaboration among Akira Itō (Yu-Gi-Oh! R), Satoshi Nakamura (Duel Masters), and Bushiroad president Takāki Kidani. An anime television series was produced by TMS Entertainment and aired in Japan on TV Tokyo starting on January 8, 2011. An official trading card game by Bushiroad began releasing in Japan on February 26, 2011, in Singapore on May 5, 2011, and internationally on May 12, 2011. A manga series was also announced and began publishing in Kerokero Ace magazine on March 26, 2011.

The series continued for thee additional seasons: Cardfight!! Vanguard: Asia Circuit (カードファイト!! ヴァンガード アジアサーキット編, Kādofaito!! Vangādo Ajia Sākito Hen, lit. Cardfight!! Vanguard Asia Circuit Chapter), which began airing on April 8, 2012; Cardfight!! Vanguard: Link Joker (カードファイト!! ヴァンガード リンクジョーカー編, Kādofaito!! Vangādo Rinku Jōkā Hen, lit. Cardfight!! Vanguard Link Joker Chapter) on January 13, 2013; and Legion Mate (レギオンメイト編, Region Meito Hen, lit. Legion Mate Chapter) on March 9, 2014. An anime/live action film was released on September 13, 2014 in Japan.

Exxon Valdez

Oriental Nicety, formerly Exxon Valdez, Exxon Mediterranean, SeaRiver Mediterranean, S/R Mediterranean, Mediterranean, and Dong Fang Ocean, was an oil tanker that gained notoriety after running aground in Prince William Sound spilling hundreds of thousands of barrels of crude oil in Alaska. On March 24, 1989, while owned by the former Exxon Shipping Company, and captained by Joseph Hazelwood and First Mate James Kunkel bound for Long Beach, California, the vessel ran aground on the Bligh Reef resulting in the second largest oil spill in United States history. The size of the spill is estimated to have been 40,900 to 120,000 m³ (10,800,000 to 31,700,000 US gal), or 257,000 to 750,000 barrels. In 1989, the Exxon Valdez oil spill was listed as the 54th largest spill in history.

Carrier

The tanker was 301 meters long, 51 meters wide, 26 meters depth (987 ft x 166 ft x 88 ft), with a deadweight of 214,861 long tons and a full-load displacement of 240,291 long tons. The ship was able to transport up to 235,000 m³ (1.48 million barrels) at a sustained speed of 30 km/h 16.25 knots, powered by a 23.60 MW (31,650 shp) diesel engine. Her hull design was of the single-hull type, constructed by National Steel and Shipbuilding Company in San Diego, California. She was a relatively new tanker at the time of the spill, and was delivered to Exxon on December 16, 1986.

Cameron Jones

Cameron Scott Jones (born May 4, 1989) is an American professional basketball player for Arkadikos of the Greek Basket League. He played college basketball for Northern Arizona University.

High school career

Jones attended Los Alamitos High School in Los Alamitos, California. He helped Los Alamitos to a 29-5 record in 2006–07 and led his team to the CIF Southern California Regional Division I first round. He averaged a team-best 18.1 points per game and 3.6 rebounds, shooting 54 percent from the field and 81 percent from the line. He was also named to the 2007 All-CIF first team and the Sunset League Most Valuable Player.

College career

In his freshman season at Northern Arizona, Jones had a minor role and limited minutes. In 31 games (one start), he averaged 3.9 points, 1.6 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game.

In his sophomore season, he had a breakout season, going on to be named to the 2009 All-Big Sky second team and received the Joe Rolle Most Valuable Player Award at the team's end of season banquet. In 27 games (23 starts), he averaged 12.7 points, 2.6 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.2 steals per game.

Ross

Ross (Ros in Scottish Gaelic) is a region of Scotland and a former earldom and county. The name Ross allegedly derives from a Gaelic word meaning "headland", perhaps a reference to the Black Isle. Another possible origin is the West Norse word for Orkney – Hrossey – meaning horse island; the area once belonged to the Norwegian (West Norse) earldom of Orkney. Ross is a historical comital region, perhaps predating the Mormaerdom of Ross.

History

Excavations of a rock shelter and shell midden at Sand, Applecross on the coast of Wester Ross have shown that the coast was occupied by Mesolithic hunter-gatherers.

It may be doubted whether the Romans ever effected even a temporary settlement in the area of the modern county. In Roman times, and for long afterwards, the land was occupied by Picts, who, in the 6th and 7th centuries, were converted to Christianity by followers of Saint Columba. Throughout the next three centuries the natives were continually harassed by Norwegian Viking raiders, of whose presence tokens have survived in several place-names (Dingwall, Tain, and others). At this time the country formed part of the great province of Moray (Latin: Moravia), which then extended as far as the Dornoch Firth and the Oykel, and practically comprised the whole of Ross and Cromarty.
