Caças franceses lançaram 20 bombas neste domingo (15) sobre o reduto do grupo radical Estado Islâmico em Raqqa, leste da Síria, destruindo um posto de comando e um campo de treinamento, afirmou o ministério da Defesa.
"O ataque... que incluiu 10 caças, foi lançado simultaneamente dos Emirados Árabes Unidos e da Jordânia. Vinte bombas foram lançadas", informou o ministério em comunicado, que acrescentou que a missão aconteceu na noite deste domingo.
"O primeiro alvo destruído era utilizado pelo Daech (acrônimo em árabe do EI) como posto de comando, centro de recrutamento jihadista e depósito de armas e munição. O segundo alvo abrigava um campo de treinamento terrorista", acrescentou o ministério em um comunicado.
A operação, realizada em coordenação com forças dos Estados Unidos, atingiu um centro de comando, um centro de recrutamento de jihadistas, um depósito de munições e um campo de treinamento de combatentes, informou o ministério.
"Planejada para os locais preliminarmente identificados durante missões de reconhecimento realizadas pela França, esta operação foi conduzida em coordenação com as forças americanas", destacou o ministério.
Os bombardeios aconteceram às 19h50 e 20h50 de Paris (16h50 e 17h50 de Brasília).
Há mais de um ano, a força aérea francesa atuava contra o Estado Islâmico no Iraque com caças Rafale e Mirage 2000 e um contingente de mais de 700 soldados.
Mas no dia 27 de setembro os bombardeios à Síria foram ampliados, justificados pelo governo francês pela necessidade de "legítima defesa" contra um grupo que opera contra seu país dentro de suas próprias fronteiras.
O EI reivindicou a autoria da série de atentados de sexta-feira à noite em Paris, que deixaram ao menos 129 mortos e 350 feridos.
"É um ato de guerra cometido por um exército terrorista, o Daech, um exército jihadista", declarou o presidente francês, François Hollande, advertindo que seu país seria implacável" em todos os terrenos, tanto "interior quanto exterior". (Com agências internacionais)

Atentados simultâneos em Paris deixaram mais de 140 mortos
Duas explosões próximas ao Stade de France durante o amistoso entre França e Alemanha puderam ser ouvidas durante a transmissão da partida pelo SporTV nesta sexta-feira. O primeiro estrondo ocorreu aos 16 minutos da primeira etapa. E foi seguida por outro, apenas três minutos depois. Que gerou gritos efusivos de torcedores, que desconheciam o que estava acontecendo. A seleção francesa venceu a partida por 2 a 0.
Três pessoas morreram devido a uma explosão em frente ao portão J do Stade de France, segundo o presidente da Federação Francesa de Futebol, Noel Le Graet. O dirigente informou também que muitas ficaram feridas.
Pelo menos sete pontos da região de Paris sofreram ataques de homens armados durante esta sexta. Os atentados causaram a morte de pelo menos 143 pessoas. A prefeitura de Paris confirmou que 100 pessoas morreram na casa de shows Bataclan.
Segundo o site do "L'Express", a segurança de François Hollande decidiu pela retirada do político do estádio, durante o segundo tempo do amistoso com a Alemanha, para proteger o presidente de algum possível atentado.
Dois portões do estádio foram fechados, por medida de segurança, o que fez com que muitos torcedores que tentavam deixar o local retornassem para as arquibancadas. E entrasse no gramado, aguardando autorização para sair do Stade de France.
Mais cedo, uma ameaça de bomba também gerou preocupação para a polícia no hotel que servia de concentração para a seleção alemã. Porém, os jogadores não estavam no local no momento - o grupo fez uma visita a Roland Garros.

Franca is a large city in the Brazilian state of São Paulo, located at 20º32'19"S; 47º24'03'W at 1040 m altitude, founded in 1805 . Estimated population in 2008 was 327,176 inhabitants. Franca is the municipal seat of Franca municipality.
The history of the region of Franca begins at the time of the Bandeirantes explorers. The bandeira or entrada of Anhangüera (the son) in 1722 established the “way of Goiás,” a trail from São Paulo to the gold mines in Goiás. Along this and other trails settlements were made, becoming the so-called "landings" or way-stations for the gold seekers. Franca was known at the time of the Bandeirantes as the “catfish landing.”
At the end of the 18th century, settlers had dispersed into the region in several of these landings. In 1779, around 1000 people lived in the area around Franca . To better organize the settlement, a Decree Company was created and the Portuguese Captain Manoel de Almeida was put in charge. At the beginning of the 19th century, the sons of Manoel de Almeida (Antonio Antunes de Almeida and Vicente Ferreira de Almeida) donated lands for the construction of a chapel, which in turn was blessed by the priest Joaquin Martins Rodrigues. With the decline of mining activity in Minas Gerais and Goiás, more settlers migrated to the "Belo Sertão do Rio Pardo" (beautiful valley of the Pardo River), under the sponsorship of the governador of São Paulo, Antônio José de Franca e Horta, after whom the city and municipality are named.

Caças franceses lançaram 20 bombas neste domingo (15) sobre o reduto do grupo radical Estado Islâmico em Raqqa, leste da Síria, destruindo um posto de comando e um campo de treinamento, afirmou o ministério da Defesa.
"O ataque... que incluiu 10 caças, foi lançado simultaneamente dos Emirados Árabes Unidos e da Jordânia. Vinte bombas foram lançadas", informou o ministério em comunicado, que acrescentou que a missão aconteceu na noite deste domingo.
"O primeiro alvo destruído era utilizado pelo Daech (acrônimo em árabe do EI) como posto de comando, centro de recrutamento jihadista e depósito de armas e munição. O segundo alvo abrigava um campo de treinamento terrorista", acrescentou o ministério em um comunicado.
A operação, realizada em coordenação com forças dos Estados Unidos, atingiu um centro de comando, um centro de recrutamento de jihadistas, um depósito de munições e um campo de treinamento de combatentes, informou o ministério.
"Planejada para os locais preliminarmente identificados durante missões de reconhecimento realizadas pela França, esta operação foi conduzida em coordenação com as forças americanas", destacou o ministério.
Os bombardeios aconteceram às 19h50 e 20h50 de Paris (16h50 e 17h50 de Brasília).
Há mais de um ano, a força aérea francesa atuava contra o Estado Islâmico no Iraque com caças Rafale e Mirage 2000 e um contingente de mais de 700 soldados.
Mas no dia 27 de setembro os bombardeios à Síria foram ampliados, justificados pelo governo francês pela necessidade de "legítima defesa" contra um grupo que opera contra seu país dentro de suas próprias fronteiras.
O EI reivindicou a autoria da série de atentados de sexta-feira à noite em Paris, que deixaram ao menos 129 mortos e 350 feridos.
"É um ato de guerra cometido por um exército terrorista, o Daech, um exército jihadista", declarou o presidente francês, François Hollande, advertindo que seu país seria implacável" em todos os terrenos, tanto "interior quanto exterior". (Com agências internacionais)

Atentados simultâneos em Paris deixaram mais de 140 mortos
Duas explosões próximas ao Stade de France durante o amistoso entre França e Alemanha puderam ser ouvidas durante a transmissão da partida pelo SporTV nesta sexta-feira. O primeiro estrondo ocorreu aos 16 minutos da primeira etapa. E foi seguida por outro, apenas três minutos depois. Que gerou gritos efusivos de torcedores, que desconheciam o que estava acontecendo. A seleção francesa venceu a partida por 2 a 0.
Três pessoas morreram devido a uma explosão em frente ao portão J do Stade de France, segundo o presidente da Federação Francesa de Futebol, Noel Le Graet. O dirigente informou também que muitas ficaram feridas.
Pelo menos sete pontos da região de Paris sofreram ataques de homens armados durante esta sexta. Os atentados causaram a morte de pelo menos 143 pessoas. A prefeitura de Paris confirmou que 100 pessoas morreram na casa de shows Bataclan.
Segundo o site do "L'Express", a segurança de François Hollande decidiu pela retirada do político do estádio, durante o segundo tempo do amistoso com a Alemanha, para proteger o presidente de algum possível atentado.
Dois portões do estádio foram fechados, por medida de segurança, o que fez com que muitos torcedores que tentavam deixar o local retornassem para as arquibancadas. E entrasse no gramado, aguardando autorização para sair do Stade de France.
Mais cedo, uma ameaça de bomba também gerou preocupação para a polícia no hotel que servia de concentração para a seleção alemã. Porém, os jogadores não estavam no local no momento - o grupo fez uma visita a Roland Garros.

Explosões ocorreram próximo ao Stade de France, em Paris, na noite de sexta (13), durante um jogo entre as seleções da França e Alemanha. Além disso, três tiroteios simultâneos - entre eles um ataque à casa de show Bataclan - deixaram 112 mortos, segundo a prefeitura de Paris. Dezenas de pessoas ficaram feridas em outros pontos da cidade, segundo a polícia parisiense.
O presidente francês, François Hollande, afirmou em declaração em rede nacional que está declarado estado de emergência em toda a França e que as fronteiras serão fechadas.

Dez minutos antes da invasão, a Reuters afirmava que foram ouvidas cinco explosões perto do local.O local fica no boulevard Voltaire, no 11º arrondissement e era palco de um show da banda Eagles of the Death Metal. A banda postou no Facebook: “Ainda estamos tentando determinar a segurança e o paradeiro da nossa banda e equipe. Nossos pensamentos estão com todas as pessoas envolvidas nesta situação trágica”

It is a song of dance on the bridge of the Pont Saint Bénézet but it is more likely that the people here once danced under the bridge as that is the location of its bars! For almost two thousand years an imposing Roman amphitheatre has dominated the city of Nîmes. It is the capital of the Departement Gard that is situated on the periphery of Provence. One of the most well preserved mediaeval fortifications in Europe surrounds the small town of Aigues-Mortes along the western periphery of the Camargue in the south of France. The town was established in 1240. From the city wall that is eleven metres high and six metres thick, there is a wonderful view across the rooftops of the impregnable city. With historic towns in which both the Romans and the Papacy felt at home, and with blossoming fields of lavender and ancient mountain villages, Provence is a land of sweet aromas and radiant light.

From the top station (at 3842m) the view of the Alps is incredible. The top station of the Aiguille du Midi has several terraces where visitors can take in the spectacular views of the Swiss, French and Italian Alps. On a clear day it is possible to see the Matterhorn, Monta Rosa and the Grand Combin.
An elevator inside the rock rises the final 42m to the top terrace at 3842m. This is the closest you can get to the Mont Blanc without climbing!

Situated at a meeting point of the North-South and East-West communication routes, Strasbourg, ("the town at the crossroads") has benefited from commerce of all kinds and also encouraged the free movement of ideas. Founded by the Romans in 12 BC, Strasbourg has always occupied a strategic position in Europe. From the 17th to the 20th century Strasbourg changed hands many times between the French and the Germans. Following WWII Strasbourg was chosen as the European capital. New York, Geneva and Strasbourg are the only cities in the world which are home to international institutions without being national capitals.
The whole of Strasbourg's town centre, the "Grande Ile", has been listed as a World Heritage of Humanity site by UNESCO thanks to the richness of its architectural heritage. On this island in the Ill River, the covered bridges and old bridges of the mills of Strasbourg offer an exceptional walk. More than 20 bridges cross the River Ill and its artificial arm "the canal of the false ramparts".
Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Strasbourg is an outstanding masterpiece of Gothic art. The first stone was laid in 1015 and the spire was completed in 1439. Up until the 19th century, the cathedral was the highest building in the whole of the Christian world and is still the highest medieval building in Europe.
A Renaissance masterpiece, the Astronomical Clock is a result of the combined work of artists, mathematicians and technicians. The current mechanism dates from 1842. The main attraction of the clock is its animated figures which come out to delight the public every day at half past noon.

Lille is just one hour and twenty minutes away from London on the Eurostar, which makes it quicker and sometimes cheaper to reach than Bristol. The shopping, in particular, is worth travelling for but there are some really smart new hotels with great restaurants that make alternatives look pretty dull in comparison.
As with many French cities, Lille possesses a great contrast between the old and the new.
In under two hours on the smart Eurostar train from London's stunningly renovated St Pancras station, Lille has everything you could wish for on a day out or short break. Think great food, excellent shopping, attractive architecture that reflects a long history, a fascinating museum and one of France's finest art galleries.
Everything you want to see is within walking distance of Lille Europe station, from where it's an easy stroll into the city.
En route you might want to drop in to Les Trois Brasseurs opposite Lille's other railway station, and taste one of the rather good beers that this friendly micro-brewery has to offer.
With fountains splashing at her feet, the Goddess atop her column reigns over the busy shops and pavement cafés of the Grand' Place -- official title Place du Général de Gaulle. Lille was the General's birthplace.

When getting around Paris, the Metro is going to be your best option. It is cheap, it is punctual and you are always going to be a five or ten minutes walk away from any Metro Station. You can identify the Metro station with this red Metro sign. I am at the Ramuteau Center and now I am going to show you, how to use the Metro.
There are large maps all over in the station. However, for your convenience, you may want to pick up a small map, they are available at the storage stuff facility. It is important for you to know which direction to take the train in. You may want to think of the River sign as a sort of dividing line between the right bank and the left bank. In Paris you have both the Metro line, and the RER line or SEF as they pronounce in France.
Every Metro line has a color and a number, for example where Rambuteu which is line number eleven, we are here and it is the brown line. You can distinguish the RER lines from the Metro lines because they have letters, for example you have the B line, the D line and the E line. If you have to change lines then you want to look for these blank oval shapes, such as this one at Bastille or this one here at Hotel de Ville.
So, right now we are at Rambuteau, which is on the the line eleven and we are going to go to the Hotel de Ville to just one stop. Since Trains run in many directions, you can tell the direction of the train based on the lines last stopped. I can buy my ticket from the cashier, I will buy a single ticket which costs one Euro for D and with this one ticket, I can go to any stop on any Metro line as long as I do not exit a station.
You can also buy what is called a carnet, which is a book of ten tickets. There are also several passes available. Occasionally, there maybe long lines at the cashier's, so you can use the machine here. Use this roller here and then they will give you different options with how to have tickets for Paris and to buy your ticket, set validez. I have my ticket now and I just need to follow the sign. So, I am going to put my ticket in here, retrieve it at the other end and you are going to follow me.
In this summer it can get hot in the Metro and also very crowded, so just keep an eye on your belongings, just as you would in any other city. On every platform you are also going to find a map, where you could again confirm the itinerary. The Paris Metro is known for its punctuality and it is not going to be very long before you are going to have to wait for your next train. Notice, as the train stops the doors are not going to open automatically. Instead, you are going to have to grab one of thse metal handles here and open the door, here you go.
Again in the train itself, you will see a little map with all the stops on the specific line. When you arrive at your station look at the Sortie sign, which means exit. When you have this kind of exit, you are not going to need your metro ticket. However, sometimes there are exits where you do need your ticket in, in order to exit the station. There are multiple exits in most Metro stations, usually they are named after the road on which you are going to exit. Here we go, our exit, Hotel de Ville.
Do not forget that you can also use your Metro ticket on the Erca Erca and also the bus. You should also know that the Metro run to 12:30, excect on Sundays when it runs to 2:00 AM. I am Guenola showing you France.

- Identified the Afrikaans interpreter - 00:20 to 01:34
- Identified the Viscount - 15:33 to 16:15
- Extracted the Viscount - 20:20
- Pinpointed the locations of 4 prisoners from an intel file - 01:50 to 03:14
- Extracted 3 prisoners being held at Kiziba Camp
-- Prisoner 1 - 04:55 to 08:00
-- Prisoner 2 and 3 - 09:10 to 13:57
- Extracted a materials container at Kiziba Camp - 21:06 to 22:14 - If the first container did not give you the mission task then keep extracting the others until you get it. There are 4 in the mission area. The other two containers are near the viscount interrogation room.
- Listened to all 4 prisoners interrogations
-- Interrogation 1 - 00:20 to 01:51
-- Interrogation 2 - 04:34 to 7:10
-- Interrogation 3 - 09:10 to 11:56
-- Interrogation 4 - 14:38 to 19:52
-- At 23:03 I show some of the glitches I ran into for this mission task

A detachment of US Marines has been dispatched to Iraq to join the ground fight against ISIS. The Marines sent are from the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), an air-ground fighting force of 2,200 soldiers. However, it is not clear how many of these soldiers will actually be deployed to Iraq. There are around 3,600 US army personnel already stationed in Iraq ...
