You literally hear the term "Return On Investment" or "ROI" all the time whenever someone is analyzing an investment... but what does it actually mean?
Through this video, I've provided not just a definition of the ROI but also a detailed ROI explanation, including examples as well as the return on investment formula for your calculation needs.
As you'll be able to find out, just like any other metric, the return on investment has its limitations.
For example, the ROI doesn't factor in the time dimension. In other words, an ROI of x% might be great if you only had to wait three years but if you had to wait ten times more... not so much :)
All in all, the return on investment is definitely a tool you cannot afford not to include in your knowledge bag and it can be ridiculously useful, as long as you always understand what and why you're measuring :)

What is ROI? ROI stands for Return on Investment. The definition of ROI is the total profit earned from an investment. In terms of Marketing and Advertising, Return on Investment will look at a total investment into business costs and Marketing campaigns and look at the return of revenue while factoring in other costs. What you want to do is look at your revenue, subtract the costs to get your profit, and then divide that number by your costs. You can figure out your ROI as a percentage of your total investment.

It is important to monitor and compare your ROI so you can see how your ads are performing through Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, Facebook Ads, Twitter Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and more. In addition, you can look at your investment into Marketing in terms of Social Media Marketing, Email Marketing, and Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
ROI: Profit earned from investment in marketing or advertising
Example: Surfside PPC runs an advertising campaign. I spend $10,000 on advertising, $5,000 on costs, and drive $20,000.
What is my ROI?
ROI = (Revenue - Costs) / Costs x 100%
Revenue: $20,000
Costs: $15,000
ROI = 33.3%
What is a Good ROI?:
A positive ROI: I try to achieve an ROI of 10% or more. However, it depends on your industry, your goals, your competition, and other factors.

Return on investment
Return on investment (ROI) is the benefit to an investor resulting from an investment of some resource. A high ROI means the investment gains compare favorably to investment cost. As a performance measure, ROI is used to evaluate the efficiency of an investment or to compare the efficiency of a number of different investments. In purely economic terms, it is one way of considering profits in relation to capital invested.
Purpose
In business, the purpose of the "return on investment" (ROI) metric is to measure, per period, rates of return on money invested in an economic entity in order to decide whether or not to undertake an investment. It is also used as indicator to compare different project investments within a project portfolio. The project with best ROI is prioritized. Recently, the concept has also be applied to scientific funding agencies (e.g. National Science Foundation) investments in research of open source hardware and subsequent returns for direct digital replication.

In linguistics, a numeral is a member of a word class (or sometimes even a part of speech) designating numbers, such as the English word 'two' and the compound 'seventy-seven'.
Identifying numerals
Numerals may be attributive, as in two dogs, or pronominal, as in I saw two (of them).
Many words of different parts of speech indicate number or quantity. Quantifiers do not enumerate, or designate a specific number, but give another, often less specific, indication of amount. Examples are words such as every, most, least, some, etc. There are also number words which enumerate but are not a distinct part of speech, such as 'dozen', which is a noun, 'first', which is an adjective, or 'twice', which is an adverb. Numerals enumerate, but in addition have distinct grammatical behavior: when a numeral modifies a noun, it may replace the article: the/some dogs played in the park → twelve dogs played in the park. (Note that *dozen dogs played in the park is not grammatical, so 'dozen' is not a numeral.)

Nineteen (ナインテイーン, Nainteīn) or Naintiin is a 1987 Japanese science fiction film directed by Kensho Yamashita, who later directed the 1994 film Godzilla vs. Space Godzilla. Like that 1994 movie, this one was produced by Toho Company, Limited. This is a teen idol film.

Nineteen (song)
"Nineteen" is a song written by Tom Hambridge, Jeffrey Steele, and Gary Nicholson. The song was originally recorded by Waycross, whose version peaked at number 54 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart in July 2007.Taylor Hicks later recorded the song on his 2009 album The Distance, although his version of the song was not released as a single. It was then recorded by country music singer Billy Ray Cyrus, on his album I'm American, which was released on June 28, 2011. Cyrus' version of the song was released as the album's second single on September 26, 2011. Clayton Bellamy also recorded it on his 2012 album Everyone's a Dreamer.

You literally hear the term "Return On Investment" or "ROI" all the time whenever someone is analyzing an investment... but what does it actually mean?
Through this video, I've provided not just a definition of the ROI but also a detailed ROI explanation, including examples as well as the return on investment formula for your calculation needs.
As you'll be able to find out, just like any other metric, the return on investment has its limitations.
For example, the ROI doesn't factor in the time dimension. In other words, an ROI of x% might be great if you only had to wait three years but if you had to wait ten times more... not so much :)
All in all, the return on investment is definitely a tool you cannot afford not to include in your knowledge bag and it can be ridiculously useful, as long as you always understand what and why you're measuring :)

What is ROI? ROI stands for Return on Investment. The definition of ROI is the total profit earned from an investment. In terms of Marketing and Advertising, Return on Investment will look at a total investment into business costs and Marketing campaigns and look at the return of revenue while factoring in other costs. What you want to do is look at your revenue, subtract the costs to get your profit, and then divide that number by your costs. You can figure out your ROI as a percentage of your total investment.

It is important to monitor and compare your ROI so you can see how your ads are performing through Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, Facebook Ads, Twitter Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and more. In addition, you can look at your investment into Marketing in terms of Social Media Marketing, Email Marketing, and Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
ROI: Profit earned from investment in marketing or advertising
Example: Surfside PPC runs an advertising campaign. I spend $10,000 on advertising, $5,000 on costs, and drive $20,000.
What is my ROI?
ROI = (Revenue - Costs) / Costs x 100%
Revenue: $20,000
Costs: $15,000
ROI = 33.3%
What is a Good ROI?:
A positive ROI: I try to achieve an ROI of 10% or more. However, it depends on your industry, your goals, your competition, and other factors.

This video shows how to calculate ROI.
ROI, which stands for Return on Investment, is calculated by dividing income (profit) by the amount of capital invested. Thus, if a department of a large firm had income of $10 million and used $50 of capital, the ROI of the department would be 20%.
ROI is a frequently used measure of profitability. If two divisions of a firm have a similar level of profit but one of the divisions uses a lot more capital to achieve the profit, the ROI will show that the division achieving the same profit with less capital is making better use of its resources.

Moreover, Chinese numerals have limited usage in modern Vietnamese, especially spoken Vietnamese. This is in contrast with the replacement of native Tai words for ‘2’ to ‘99’ with Chinese words and with the common use of Chinese numerals in Japanese and Korean. Abstract: Chinese loanwords have entered many semantic domains in Vietnamese, but the native Vietnamese system of numerals has been retained without replacements. Moreover, Chinese numerals have limited usage in modern Vietnamese, especially spoken Vietnamese. This is in contrast with the replacement of native Tai words for ‘2’ to ‘99’ with Chinese words and with the common use of Chinese numerals in Japanese and Korean. The 1651 Annam-Lusitan-Latinh dictionary contains evidence of more frequent use of Chinese numerals, but native Vietic numeral terms were still dominant in the introductory grammar section and dictionary entries. That data supports the hypothesis of a prior Chinese-speaking population in northern Vietnam centuries before that time and of a diglossic situation. Nevertheless, a millennium of Chinese administration and settlement in Vietnam and subsequent centuries of language contact with local Chinese-speakers did not affect the native numeral terms of Viet-Muong. The retention of native numerals in Vietnamese is one indication of the sociolinguistic status of Vietic and Viet-Muong even after the settlement of Chinese speakers. In this talk, I will (a) introduce cross-linguistic tendencies in borrowing of numerals, (b) present an overview of Chinese numeral loanwords in Vietnamese, Thai, and Cambodian for a comparative view, and (c) consider hypotheses for the Vietic-Sinitic language contact situation and of the language status of northeastern Vietic and Viet-Muong in view of the retention of native numerals.

You literally hear the term "Return On Investment" or "ROI" all the time whenever someone is analyzing an investment... but what does it actually mean?
Through this video, I've provided not just a definition of the ROI but also a detailed ROI explanation, including examples as well as the return on investment formula for your calculation needs.
As you'll be able to find out, just like any other metric, the return on investment has its limitations.
For example, the ROI doesn't factor in the time dimension. In other words, an ROI of x% might be great if you only had to wait three years but if you had to wait ten times more... not so much :)
All in all, the return on investment is definitely a tool you cannot afford not to include in your knowledge bag and it can be ridiculously useful, as long as you always understand what and why you're measuring :)

What is ROI? ROI stands for Return on Investment. The definition of ROI is the total profit earned from an investment. In terms of Marketing and Advertising, Return on Investment will look at a total investment into business costs and Marketing campaigns and look at the return of revenue while factoring in other costs. What you want to do is look at your revenue, subtract the costs to get your profit, and then divide that number by your costs. You can figure out your ROI as a percentage of your total investment.

It is important to monitor and compare your ROI so you can see how your ads are performing through Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, Facebook Ads, Twitter Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and more. In addition, you can look at your investment into Marketing in terms of Social Media Marketing, Email Marketing, and Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
ROI: Profit earned from investment in marketing or advertising
Example: Surfside PPC runs an advertising campaign. I spend $10,000 on advertising, $5,000 on costs, and drive $20,000.
What is my ROI?
ROI = (Revenue - Costs) / Costs x 100%
Revenue: $20,000
Costs: $15,000
ROI = 33.3%
What is a Good ROI?:
A positive ROI: I try to achieve an ROI of 10% or more. However, it depends on your industry, your goals, your competition, and other factors.

You literally hear the term "Return On Investment" or "ROI" all the time whenever someone is analyzing an investment... but what does it actually mean?
Through this video, I've provided not just a definition of the ROI but also a detailed ROI explanation, including examples as well as the return on investment formula for your calculation needs.
As you'll be able to find out, just like any other metric, the return on investment has its limitations.
For example, the ROI doesn't factor in the time dimension. In other words, an ROI of x% might be great if you only had to wait three years but if you had to wait ten times more... not so much :)
All in all, the return on investment is definitely a tool you cannot afford not to include in your knowledge bag and it can be ridiculously useful, as long as you always understand what and why you're measuring :)

This video shows how to calculate ROI.
ROI, which stands for Return on Investment, is calculated by dividing income (profit) by the amount of capital invested. Thus, if a department of a large firm had income of $10 million and used $50 of capital, the ROI of the department would be 20%.
ROI is a frequently used measure of profitability. If two divisions of a firm have a similar level of profit but one of the divisions uses a lot more capital to achieve the profit, the ROI will show that the division achieving the same profit with less capital is making better use of its resources.

We compare some of the most popular languages in the world, what are the odds and probability of speaking certain language, which language has the most alphabets. Which language has the most words? How many words does English, Spanish, Arabic or Hindi have? What is the most difficult language to learn? What are the major languages of the world? We visualize the animated scale of alphabets, characters and words.
Disclaimer:
Only words of languages with over 20 million speakers are included otherwise the video would get too long. The only exceptions are the top 5. Thus apologies if your language is not included.
Only Alphabets with a usage of above 50 million, according to World Atlas, are included, with some exceptions. Video makes no distinction between speech, dialect and literacy.
Number referenced for words tend to be the largest dictionary that can be found online. Dictionary referenced in video. There may be bigger dictionaries though.
Usage or number of words may be outdated, but are often after 2010. More info in references.
There is difficulty researching between different formal definition of letters, diacritics and circumflexes, whichever probability and number given for the Alphabets are stated in the sources. There may be unintentional mistake, kindly comment if spotted.

Abstract: Chinese loanwords have entered many semantic domains in Vietnamese, but the native Vietnamese system of numerals has been retained without replacements. Moreover, Chinese numerals have limited usage in modern Vietnamese, especially spoken Vietnamese. This is in contrast with the replacement of native Tai words for ‘2’ to ‘99’ with Chinese words and with the common use of Chinese numerals in Japanese and Korean. The 1651 Annam-Lusitan-Latinh dictionary contains evidence of more frequent use of Chinese numerals, but native Vietic numeral terms were still dominant in the introductory grammar section and dictionary entries. That data supports the hypothesis of a prior Chinese-speaking population in northern Vietnam centuries before that time and of a diglossic situation. Nevertheless, a millennium of Chinese administration and settlement in Vietnam and subsequent centuries of language contact with local Chinese-speakers did not affect the native numeral terms of Viet-Muong. The retention of native numerals in Vietnamese is one indication of the sociolinguistic status of Vietic and Viet-Muong even after the settlement of Chinese speakers. In this talk, I will (a) introduce cross-linguistic tendencies in borrowing of numerals, (b) present an overview of Chinese numeral loanwords in Vietnamese, Thai, and Cambodian for a comparative view, and (c) consider hypotheses for the Vietic-Sinitic language contact situation and of the language status of northeastern Vietic and Viet-Muong in view of the retention of native numerals.
