Synopsis:
Betala begins to narrate one of his puzzling tales to Vikramaditya which is the story of Naanu(Upendra), an ego-driven selfish rogue and the three women in his life. Upendra hates hypocrisy and always speaks the truth. In the process, he exposes the truth behind everything.
A young woman Rathi (Damini) comes to know her father's hatred towards her in this process and falls in love with Upendra. This angers Keerthi(Raveena Tandon) who orders her guardian's son to attack Upendra. They bring a woman Swathi(Prema), who lives in his house and torture her. He comes to know Prema is his wife. Story:
A is a 1998 Indian Kannada language blockbuster psychological love story film written and directed by Upendra. It starred Upendra and Chandni as the lead couple. It was about an unusual love story between a film director and an actress which was narrated through multiple flashbacks within flashbacks and reverse screenplay. The film dealt with various dark truths of film world like the casting couch. Due to the reverse screenplay, the audience were forced to watch it multiple times to understand the story. The movie generated a lot of attention, which began with its rather unusual name. Then there was the subject matter, which dealt with the love affair between a director and his heroine and the dreaded casting couch. The movie discovered human emotions through a different dimension and showed how emotions change with circumstances.

Upendra, (popularly also called Uppi) is a Kannada film actor, director, screen writer, lyricist and singer. He is recognised as an established Superstar actor and director of the Kannada film Industry. Born in a middle class family at Koteshwara near Kundapura, he belongs to Tulu speaking Koteshwara Magane Madhwa Brahmin community. Upendra started his career under the director Kashinath as a writer and an assistant director. His first directorial venture was Tharle Nan Maga.
In the late 90s he broke into the scene with the extremely violent Om, which portrayed actual Bangalore gangsters, and this movie is still not yet released in CDs, DVDs and Satellite Rights. He followed this up with A, in which he appeared as Surya. Upendra, his next film, starred Raveena Tandon, a Bollywood actress. After a decade of acting in Kannada, Telugu and Tamil films, he returned to the role of director with the multi-lingual movie Super, which was well-received critically and commercially.
Throughout his career as a director, he has directed many record breaking blockbusters such as Tharle Nan Maga, Shhh!, Om, A, Upendra and Super. His directional movies like A, Swasthik, Upendra and Super resembles the neo-noir film genre where he narrates the story through reverse screenplay and multiple number of flashbacks within flashbacks and thus forces the audience to watch the film multiple number of times to understand the story.

Romantic Scene from the Movie *ing Upendra, Prema Plot Summary: The hero (Upendra), who has been exposed to the sordid side of life right from childhood, becomes a law unto himself, feared and rebuked by all. He calls himself ‘Nanu’, meaning ‘I’. ‘Nanu’ is proud to be a straight-forward, frank human being, who does not hide his feelings, even the unsavoury ones. So the rest of the world, in his eyes, is hypocritical. A teenaged girl (Damini) falls in love with ‘Nanu’ after understanding what a nice person he is, only to realise that he wants to marry a filthy rich girl (Raveena Tandon) just to lead a luxurious life. ‘Nanu’ pursues his rich prey relentlessly, which leads to bloody fights and deaths ultimately. In between, both girls find our that ‘Nanu’ is a much-married man. Nanu’s logic in wanting all the three women, is madness personified. In his bid to own these women, he not only shows total disregard for their feelings but gets into a vortex from which it appears he cannot extricate himself. Plot Summary:
The hero (Upendra), who has been exposed to the sordid side of life right from childhood, becomes a law unto himself, feared and rebuked by all. He calls himself ‘Nanu’, meaning ‘I’. ‘Nanu’ is proud to be a straight-forward, frank human being, who does not hide his feelings, even the unsavoury ones. So the rest of the world, in his eyes, is hypocritical.
A teenaged girl (Damini) falls in love with ‘Nanu’ after understanding what a nice person he is, only to realise that he wants to marry a filthy rich girl (Raveena Tandon) just to lead a luxurious life. ‘Nanu’ pursues his rich prey relentlessly, which leads to bloody fights and deaths ultimately. In between, both girls find our that ‘Nanu’ is a much-married man. Nanu’s logic in wanting all the three women, is madness personified. In his bid to own these women, he not only shows total disregard for their feelings but gets into a vortex from which it appears he cannot extricate himself. (TH)

Synopsis:

A young woman Rathi (Damini) comes to know her father's hatred towards her in this process and falls in love with Upendra. This angers Keerthi(Raveena Tandon) who orders her guardian's son to attack Upendra. They bring a woman Swathi(Prema), who lives in his house and torture her. He comes to know Prema is his wife. Kannada star Upendra, has a huge following in Tollywood. After a long gap, he is back with the sequel of his hit film Upendra. Titled Upendra 2, this film has hit the screens today. Let’s see how it is.
Story:-
The movie kicks off from where the first part Upendra ended. Every one is looking out for Nenu(Upendra) who re-surfaces in a remote village with a new name Nuvvu. His crazy philosophies and life style attracts a press reporter named Lakshmi( Kristina Akheeva) big time and she decides to marry him at any cost.
Twist in the tale arises when Lakshmi comes to know a unique story behind Nuvvu which is indirectly related to her property. What is that story ? Who is this Nuvvu ? and What he is up ? To know answers to all these questions, you need to watch the film on the big screen.
Plus Points:-
Major plus point of the film is none other than Upendra himself. As expected, the super star surprises you with his unique get ups and unconventional approach. He is specially good during the first half and holds the film together.
Heroine Kristina Akheeva is decent in her role and manages to draw some attention in all the chaotic situations. Certain philosophies which are showcased through Upendra’s character in the first half have been dealt well.
Minus Points:-
Upendra 2 is one of the most confusing films in the recent times. It is very hard to track as to what is going on in the film and one has have special capabilities to understand Upendra’s logics and approach towards life.
Even though viewers go in with an assumption that the film would have some bold dialogues and scenes, sadly, there is nothing of that sort in the film. Climax is super confusing and is ended on a very unclear note.
Upendra’s get ups and motto of the film never get carried through to the audience. At one point of time, you start seriously wondering as to what exactly is going on in the film. The film loses pace, clarity and to top it all it has no meaning.
Technical Aspects:-
Camera work is decent and showcases the film pretty well. Production values are good and all the locations chosen look superb. Music by Guru Kiran is just about ok but his background score is pretty good. Dialogues are in true Upendra style and are hard hitting. Coming to Upendra’s direction, he lacks focus this time around and narrates the film in a very silly manner. Screenplay is the biggest drawback as the proceedings in the second half test your patience to another level.
Verdict:-
On the whole, Upendra 2 is one the most confusing and off beat film in the recent past. Not once during the film, the proceedings flow with a direction and irritate the audience bit time. Other than Upendra’s histrionics, this film will test your patience to another level. If you are curious enough and still want to go ahead and see what Upendra is up to in this crazy caper, watch it at your own risk.

This story belongs to the period of 1950's. Mohan (Upendra) returns from the west after 'educating' himself with a double degree. He reels under the influence of the west so much that he finds the traditions and customs followed in India to be utterly senseless. He is also an heir to the largesse left by his departed jamindar father. Mohan starts visiting a prostitute Kantha (Ramya Krishna) everyday. After looking at his bad behavior, his mother decides to marry him off to a traditional girl Chandra (Abhirami). During the first night, he asks Chandra for a lip-to-lip kiss and when she refuses to do so, he gets pissed off. He declares that he would not touch Chandra again. He starts living in Kantha's house. He prefers to stay at the birthday bash of Kantha's mother to the last rites of his deceased mother. He transfers all his property to Kantha and then goes bankrupt. After a couple of years, Mohan suffers from deadly disease (at that time) of leprosy. Kantha locks him up in a cellar and treats him like an untouchable. After sometime, kantha throws him out of her house and Mohan loses eyesight in the process. He starts wandering in village to beg for food. And one fine evening, he goes to Chandra's house to beg. The rest of the story is all about the climax of 'Rakta Kanneeru'.

Plot:
Upendra plays a lovelorn nerd Surendra who can do anything to get Manisha (Felicity Mason) to love him. Desperate to impress her and unable to do so himself, he seeks the help of his maverick scientist professor (Ananth Nag). The professor comes up with a clone of Surendra who will do the bit of impressing Manisha, and once the task is accomplished, the real Surendra will take over.However, things go berserk after the professor gives Surendra's clone - an android robot - the ability to think and act like humans. He bestows the clone named US 47 with human discretion and human emotion. The idea of the clone backfires when US 47 starts using his discretion and falls in love with Manisha. Using his robotic strength and human intelligence, and of course the help of a lab monkey (Seenu), US 47 proves to be a formidable enemy to Surendra over Manisha. Now the mad professor, Surendra, his twin brother Upendra and Manisha need to get together to solve the problem.
