Marquette University Law School (Marquette Law or MULS) is the law school of Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It is one of two law schools in Wisconsin and the only private law school in the state.

Marquette Law traces the school's history to 1892. Since 1924 its home has been Sensenbrenner Hall, but in 2010, the Law School opened its new, $85 million Eckstein Hall building in downtown Milwaukee.

Marquette is a Catholic institution operated by the Jesuits. Its law school's mission includes a commitment to the Jesuit idea of cura personalis ("care of the entire person"), a duty to promote diversity, and a goal of encouraging its "students to become agents for positive change in society."

As of 2011, the school has 743 students and 94 faculty members and administrators, including 35 full-time, six "other full-time," 11 deans, librarians, and others who teach, and 42 part-time. For the fall 2011 entering J.D. class, there were 213 enrolled students (188 full-time and 25 part-time).

Marquette University was founded on August 28, 1881 as Marquette College by John Martin Henni, the first Catholic bishop of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. The university was named after 17th century missionary and explorer Father Jacques Marquette, S.J.. The highest priority of the newly established college was to provide an affordable Catholic education to the area's emerging German immigrant population. Marquette College officially became a university in 1907. Marquette University High School, formerly the preparatory department of the university, became a separate institution the same year. Initially an all-male institution, Marquette University became the first coed Catholic university in the world, when it admitted its first female students in 1909.

The oldest civil law faculty in Canada offering law degrees was established in 1848 at McGill University in Montreal, and the oldest common law faculty in Canada offering law degrees was established in 1883 at Dalhousie University in Halifax. The typical law degree required to practice law in Canada is now the Juris Doctor, which requires previous university coursework and is similar to the first law degree in the United States, except there is some scholarly content in the coursework (such as an academic research paper required in most schools). The programs consist of three years, and have similar content in their mandatory first year courses. Beyond first year and the minimum requirements for graduation, course selection is elective with various concentrations such as business law, international law, natural resources law, criminal law, Aboriginal law, etc. Some schools, however, have not made the switch from LL.B. to the J.D. - one notable university that has not made the switch is McGill University.
