Black British people seem to be turning away from victimhood politics, and embracing the aspirational mindset.

In my previous few videos (such as this one https://youtu.be/tC4stY2C7y4), I have been talking about
Black liberation as being 'when
Black people have the ability and opportunity to create the kinds of lives they want to live." One commenter pointed out that if you take out the word Black, then this applies to all people, regardless of race.
And I completely agree with them!
Sometimes there can be the idea that Black people are after things in life which are different to other people. But as far I can tell, all people everywhere are looking for the same things in life.
Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs is a great way of conceptualising the things that humans need and want in life. Black people want the same things as everybody else do!
Analysis of UK voting patterns in recent decades shows that that Black British people are turning away from the
Labour Party and toward the
Conservative Party.
I believe that a key reason for this is that Black people are growing tired of the victimhood mindset which used to make the Labour Party such a perfect fit
. In the past, Black people faced overt racism within
British society and the Conservative Party at times actually took part in this, things have changed.
Thanks to the efforts of
Black and White campaigners, British society is now a much more open and fair society for people of all races and ethnicities.
While the
Left is stuck in
1980s political rhetoric, Black British people are abandoning that world and are embracing the opportunities which we now have
. I can think of no better way to thank our elders who put up with so much back in the day than to build on the foundations they have given us to achieve what we can achieve. This probably makes me an uncle Tom in some people's eyes, but I really don't care!
