The survey of major railway stations for cleanliness ranking was conducted by the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) through the TNS India Private Limited and commissioned by the environment and housekeeping management directorate of the railway board ... The 407 railway stations across the country that were surveyed included 332 'A' category stations and 75 'A1' category stations....

A female elephant aged about 15 years, tried to cross the railway track near Puthuppathi area, coming under Madukkarai forest range, at 5.50am on Friday ...
