The Quarrymen - In Spite of All the Danger (Spanish Subtitles - Subtítulos en Español)
"In Spite of All the Danger" no fue publicada hasta 1995, cuando aparece en Anthology 1 junto "That'll Be the Day". La versión de Anthology (2:44) es un poco más corta que la original sin editar (3:25).
Paul McCartney la interpretó en su gira de 2005.

I'LL DO ANYTHING FOR YOU,

Before The Beatles, there was a band called The Quarrymen. The musical menagerie of John Lennon and his school friends was formed in 1956, inspired by the skiffle craze that was sweeping the country and the intoxicating allure of rock and roll. Over the next four years, the band would evolve, losing players here and there and constantly upgrading — first with the addition of a precocious young guitarist-singer named Paul McCartney and, later, with an even younger guitarist named George Harrison. Eventually, all of the original Quarrymen — save John — would fall by the wayside until only John, Paul and George remained.
Thirteen years ago, the surviving members of the original Quarrymen reunited to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the epochal performance at the St. Peter's Church Rose Queen garden fête, where Paul was introduced to the band. Since that time, they have continued to play music together and spin tales of those days when legends were born.
With what would have been John Lennon's 70th birthday fast approaching, the three remaining active Quarrymen — Rod Davis, Len Garry and Colin Hanton — sat down at the Gibson New York Showroom to talk about the formation of the band, playing alongside a young John Lennon and the various characters who played a role in the birth of The Beatles.

Sir James Paul McCartney, MBE (born 18 June 1942) is an English musician, singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and composer. With John Lennon, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr, he gained worldwide fame as a member of the Beatles, widely regarded as one of the most popular and influential acts in the history of rock music; his songwriting partnership with Lennon is one of the most celebrated of the 20th century. After the band's break-up, he pursued a solo career and later formed Wings with his first wife, Linda, and Denny Laine.
In 1979, Guinness World Records described McCartney as the "most successful composer and recording artist of all time", with 60 gold discs and sales of over 100 million albums and 100 million singles, and as the "most successful songwriter" in United Kingdom chart history. More than 2,200 artists have covered his Beatles song "Yesterday", more than any other copyrighted song in history. Wings' 1977 release "Mull of Kintyre" is one of the all-time best-selling singles in the UK. Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a solo artist in March 1999, McCartney has written, or co-written 31 songs that have reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100, and as of 2014 he has sold more than 15.5 million RIAA-certified units in the United States. McCartney, Lennon, Harrison and Starr received MBEs in 1965, and in 1997, McCartney was knighted for his services to music.
McCartney has released an extensive catalogue of songs as a solo artist and has composed classical and electronic music. He has taken part in projects to promote international charities related to such subjects as animal rights, seal hunting, landmines, vegetarianism, poverty, and music education. He has married three times and is the parent of five children.
album by Paul McCartney consisting of material performed over three nights as the inaugural concert at New York City's Citi Field, 17, 18 and 21 July 2009, part of his Summer Live '09 concert tour. Over 180,000 tickets were sold within hours of the shows being announced. The album is McCartney's third release for Hear Music, following 2007 album Memory Almost Full and the live EP Amoeba's Secret. Previous McCartney live albums such as Back in the US proved to be huge sellers based on his record breaking live shows from the 2000s.
At the 53rd Grammy Awards, the recording of "Helter Skelter" from the album won in the category of Best Solo Rock Vocal Performance

Yes, I'm lonely
Wanna die
Yes, I'm lonely
Wanna die
If I ain't dead already
Ooh! Girl you know the reason why
In the morning
Wanna die
In the evening
Wanna die
If I ain't dead already
Ooh! Girl you know the reason why
My mother was up the sky,
My father was up the earth,
But I am up the universe
And you know what it's worth
I'm lonely
Wanna die
If I ain't dead already
Ooh! Girl you know the reason why
The eagle picks my eye
The worm he licks my bone
I feel so suicidal
Just like Dylan's Mr. Jones
Lonely!
Wanna die
If I ain't dead already
Ooh! Girl you know the reason why
Black cloud crossed my mind
Blue mist round my soul
Feel so suicidal
Even hate my rock and roll
Wanna die
Yeah! Wanna die
If I ain't dead already
Ooh! Girl you know the reason why

May 12th, 1972 John and Yoko talk with and perform for Dick and Shirley McClaine. John defends his use of the word "nigger" for his song "woman is the nigger of the world", in addition to explaining his deportation and custody dilemma.
Shirley McLaine talks out of ass for most of the show, watch her repeatedly praise John and Yoko off camera and be politely dismissed. While being interviewed, she states she has no belief in spirits and paranormal things--which she must have forgotten later in career when she started selling that nonsense. Shirley also demonstrates the lost art of the uncomfortably long hug with Yoko.

Madison Square Garden 1974 November 28 (Thanksgiving). John Lennon came on stage as special guest at the Elton John concert and they did three songs together. We all know the story ......
When John Lennon was recording his "Walls and Bridges" album in 1974, he invited Elton to help him out on a couple of tracks - "Whatever Gets You Thru the Night" and "Surprise, Surprise (Sweet Bird of Paradox)". This was around the same time they also worked together on Elton's releases "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" and "One Day at a Time". Lennon said of Elton, "I was amazed at his ability. A fine musician, great piano player. I was really pleasantly surprised at the way he could get in on such a loose track and add to it and keep up with the rhythm changes". As Elton and Lennon were enjoying themselves greatly during the recording session, Elton asked Lennon if he would do "Whatever Gets You Thru" with him on stage. Lennon, who no longer performed live, jokingly promised to do so when the song became a #1 hit single. In November that year, it did hit #1, Lennon's only solo single to do so. Elton called him up and reminded him of the promise, and Lennon appeared on stage for three numbers at Elton's concert at Madison Square Garden, New York City in 1974. Lennon was terrified, and nearly backed out several times. Finally, as Elton introduced him, he suddenly turned to Bernie Taupin back stage, and said, "I'm not going on unless you go with me". Bernie walked him out to the stage, gave him a light push, and said, "You're on your own". When he came on stage, the audience of 18,000 rose to their feet and applauded for several minutes before they were able to perform the three songs, the final one being the old Beatles' hit "I Saw Her Standing There", which was a song Paul McCartney (not John Lennon!) had sung. It was the first time Lennon sang the song! Elton has said many times that this whole event was one of the high points of his career.

ABOUT BED PEACE
1969 was the year that John & Yoko intensified their long running campaign for World Peace. They approached the task with the same entrepreneurial expertise as an advertising agency selling a brand of soap powder to the masses. John & Yoko's product however was PEACE, not soft soap, and they were determined to use any slogan, event and gimmick in order to persuade the World to buy it.
BED PEACE (directed by Yoko & John and filmed by Nic Knowland) is a document of the Montreal events from 26-31 March 2013, and features John & Yoko in conversation with, amongst others, The World Press, satirist Al Capp, activist Dick Gregory, comedian Tommy Smothers, protesters at Berkeley's People's Park, Rabbi Abraham L. Feinberg, quiltmaker Christine Kemp, psychologists Timothy Leary & Rosemary Leary, CFOX DJs Charles P. Rodney Chandler & Roger Scott, producer André Perry, journalist Ritchie York, DJ & Promoter Murray The K, filmmaker Jonas Mekas, publicist Derek Taylor & personal assistant Anthony Fawcett.
Featured songs are Plastic Ono Band's GIVE PEACE A CHANCE & INSTANT KARMA, Yoko's REMEMBER LOVE & WHO HAS SEEN THE WIND & John's acoustic version of BECAUSE.

John Lennon - "The Rolling Stone Interview" - December 8, 1970, Part 1
Part 1 of Rolling Stone Magazine founding editor and publisher, Jann S. Wenner's infamous interview with John Lennon and Yoko Ono. The interview was conducted at Allen Klein's office at 1700 Broadway in New York City on December 8, 1970.
Wenner caught the couple at a time when the breakup of The Beatles was still fresh and acrimonious, Plastic Ono Band was first released, and John and Yoko's emotions had been laid bare through intense primal scream therapy. The lengthy interview was published in Wenner's Rolling Stone Magazine in two installments in early 1971 (January 21 and February 4, 1971 editions). Lennon later repudiated some of his more venomous statements in this interview and always decried the fact that Wenner published it in book form under the title "Lennon Remembers."
Oddly, the book was republished, with Yoko's assistance, upon the 20th anniversary of Lennon's death at about the same time that the Anthology book was released. It included elements that had been excised in the first edition. Lennon Remembers and Anthology present two startling different characterizations and recollections of the Beatle years.
