Bernarda enters Isabel's bedroom and reproaches her the carelessness, which could cause her trouble. Isabel replies, she knows pretty well, what and how is she doing. Isabel's intention is to eradicate Manuela from Salinas' residence and Fernando's life. Meanwhile, Fernando tries to calm down Manuela, who he found fainted at floor in salon at first floor. Manuela tries to explain him, that she saw unknown person, dressed in black, who wants to harm Manuela. Despite declaring belief, Fernando doesn't believe Manuela. Teresa and Leopoldo leaves and Fernando is more convinced, that Manuela suffers some mental disease or memory problem. Manuela cries and tries to explain, what happened. When she asks, if Fernando believes her, he admits, he does, but in his face, it is obvious, that he has great doubts about Manuela's words. Manuela asks Fernando for help.
