Jaipur BRTS
Jaipur Bus Rapid Transit Service (BRTS) is a modern rapid transport mode, proposed to solve the traffic problem in the city of Jaipur.
Overview
In August 2006, the Jaipur Bus Rapid Transit Service was approved by the Indian government for implementation. The responsibility for managing Jaipur BRTS has been given to JCSTL, a Special Purpose Vehicle formed by Jaipur Development Authority and Jaipur Nagar Nigam in a joint venture. The BRTS is expected to cater to city's growing traffic for next 15–20 years. In Phase I, two corridors have been proposed.
A section of North-South Corridor from C-Zone Bypass near Harmada to Pani Pech became operational in July 2010. The work on other section of North-South Corridor and East-West Corridor has commenced.

Jaipur
Jaipur 
i/ˈdʒaɪpʊər/ is the capital and largest city of the Indian state of Rajasthan in Northern India. It was founded on 18 November 1727 by Maharaja Jai Singh, the ruler of Amer after whom the city is named. As of 2011, the city has a population of 6.66 million, making it the tenth most populous city in the country. Jaipur is also known as the Pink City of India.
Located at a distance of 260 km from the Indian capital New Delhi, it forms a part of the Golden Triangle tourist circuit along with Agra (240 km). Jaipur is a popular tourist destination in India and serves as a gateway to other tourist destinations in Rajasthan such as Jodhpur (348 km), Jaisalmer (571 km) and Udaipur (421 km).
History
The city of Jaipur was founded in 1727 by Jai Singh II, the Raja of Amer who ruled from 1688 to 1743. He planned to shift his capital from Amer, 11 km from Jaipur to accommodate the growing population and increasing scarcity of water. Jai Singh consulted several books on architecture and architects while planning the layout of Jaipur. Under the architectural guidance of Vidyadhar Bhattacharya, Jaipur was planned based on the principles of Vastu shastra and Shilpa Shastra. The construction of the city began in 1727 and took four years to complete the major roads, offices and palaces. The city was divided into nine blocks, two of which contained the state buildings and palaces, with the remaining seven allotted to the public. Huge ramparts were built, pierced by seven fortified gates.

राजधानी जयपुर में सालों से विवादित चले आ रहे बीआरटीएस ( BRTS ) (बस रेपिड ट्रांजिट सिस्टम) कॉरिडोर को शहर से हटाया जाएगा। परिवहन मंत्री प्रताप सिंह खाचरियावास ( Pratap Singh Khachariyawas ) की अध्यक्षता में सचिवालय में हुई स्टेट रोड सेफ्टी काउंसिल की बैठक में बीआरटीएस कोरिडोर को हटाने का भी फैसला लिया गया। बैठक के बाद परिवहन मंत्री ने कहा कि राजधानी में 2018 के आंकड़ों को देखें तो इनमें से 1271 मौतें सडक़ हादसों में हुई हैं। इनमें से अधिकतर मौत बीआरटीएस कॉरिडोर के कारण ही हुए हैं। परिवहन मंत्री ने कहा कि कॉरिडोर यूडीएच के अधीन आता है, इसीलिए प्रस्ताव तैयार किया जाएगा, जिसे यूडीएच को भेजा जाएगा। अगली बैठक में यूडीएच मंत्री शांति धारिवाल ( Shanti Dhariwal ) को बुलाकर कॉरिडोर की समस्या के बारे में बताकर हटाने की बात की जाएगी। जनता भी इस आफत के कोरिडोर से परेशान है। सांगानेर और विद्याधर नगर विध...

15 साल पहले भाजपा की तत्कालीन सरकार ने सीकर रोड पर काम शुरू किया, लेकिन कांग्रेस सरकार में वर्ष 2009 में इसका उद्घाटन हुआ। फिर से भाजपा सरकार आई, लेकिन अधूरे कॉरिडोर को पूरा नहीं कर पाई। 7.1 किलोमीटर लम्बे इस कॉरिडोर को न तो आगे बढ़ाया जा सका और न ही इसका विकल्प ढूंढा गया। केवल न्यू सांगानेर रोड के अधूरे काम को पूरा कर जिम्मेदारी निभा ली गई। नतीजा, कॉरिडोर पूरा बन ही नहीं पाया। शहर के दो इलाकों में कॉरिडोर बनाया गया, लेकिन उसे भी कुछ दूरी पर जाकर बीच में ही छोड़ दिया। नतीजा, 170 करोड़ रुपए से ज्यादा लागत से तैयार इस अधूरे प्रोजेक्ट ने लोगों के लिए परेशानी खड़ी कर दी। सीकर रोड पर बीआरटीएस कॉरिडोर बनने से अन्य वाहनों के आवागमन के लिए जगह कम बची। कई पॉइंट्स पर जाम की स्थिति बनी रहती है। सडक़ के एक छोर से दूसरे हिस्से की तरफ जाने के लिए लम्बी दूरी तय करनी पड़ रही। लोग रेलिंग तोडकऱ बीच में से गुजर रहे।

The Jaipur Metro is a rapid transit system in the city of Jaipur, Rajasthan, India.Construction on the mostly elevated part of the first line, called Phase 1A, comprising 9.63 kilometres (5.98 mi) of route from Mansarovar to Chandpole Bazaar,started in November 2010, and was completed in 2014. The Jaipur Metro began commercial service between Chandpole and Mansarovar on 3 June 2015. The Jaipur Metro Rail system is India's sixth metro rail system after those in Kolkata, Delhi, Bangalore, Gurugram and Mumbai. The Jaipur Metro is the first metro in India to run on triple-storey elevated road and metro track. Phase 1-B, from Chandpole to Badi Chaupar, began operation on 23 September 2020.
The metro railway was not required in Jaipur till 2025, said a Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) report on Rajasthan government’s performance during 2016-17. The report, which was tabled in the Rajasthan Assembly during the monsoon session on 5 September, indicted the state government for taking the decision in haste and failing to choose the appropriate technology for Jaipur Metro. The Jaipur Metro Railway Corporation (JMRC), seen as a ‘failed’ project, is struggling to meet operational expenses every year due to decreasing ridership. The performance of phase 1A of Jaipur Metro — started in June 2015 — was poor as the average ridership during the first 22 months was just 19.17 per cent of projected ridership. With operating revenue of Rs 18.87 crore, JMRC was unable to meet its operating expenses of Rs 85.56 crore for the first 22 months, said the report.

राजधानी जयपुर में सालों से विवादित चले आ रहे बीआरटीएस ( BRTS ) (बस रेपिड ट्रांजिट सिस्टम) कॉरिडोर को शहर से हटाया जाएगा। परिवहन मंत्री प्रताप सिंह खाचरियावास ( Pratap Singh Khachariyawas ) की अध्यक्षता में सचिवालय में हुई स्टेट रोड सेफ्टी काउंसिल की बैठक में बीआरटीएस कोरिडोर को हटाने का भी फैसला लिया गया। बैठक के बाद परिवहन मंत्री ने कहा कि राजधानी में 2018 के आंकड़ों को देखें तो इनमें से 1271 मौतें सडक़ हादसों में हुई हैं। इनमें से अधिकतर मौत बीआरटीएस कॉरिडोर के कारण ही हुए हैं। परिवहन मंत्री ने कहा कि कॉरिडोर यूडीएच के अधीन आता है, इसीलिए प्रस्ताव तैयार किया जाएगा, जिसे यूडीएच को भेजा जाएगा। अगली बैठक में यूडीएच मंत्री शांति धारिवाल ( Shanti Dhariwal ) को बुलाकर कॉरिडोर की समस्या के बारे में बताकर हटाने की बात की जाएगी। जनता भी इस आफत के कोरिडोर से परेशान है। सांगानेर और विद्याधर नगर विधानसभा क्षेत्र के लोग इसे शुरू से हटाने की मांग कर रहे हैं। हर बार चुनावों में इसे मुद्दा बनाया जाता है, लेकिन अभी तक कोई सरकार इसे बंद करने का निर्णय नहीं ले पाई है।
प्रोजेक्ट इस तरह मुसीबत बन गया
15 साल पहले भाजपा की तत्कालीन सरकार ने सीकर रोड पर काम शुरू किया, लेकिन कांग्रेस सरकार में वर्ष 2009 में इसका उद्घाटन हुआ। फिर से भाजपा सरकार आई, लेकिन अधूरे कॉरिडोर को पूरा नहीं कर पाई। 7.1 किलोमीटर लम्बे इस कॉरिडोर को न तो आगे बढ़ाया जा सका और न ही इसका विकल्प ढूंढा गया। केवल न्यू सांगानेर रोड के अधूरे काम को पूरा कर जिम्मेदारी निभा ली गई। नतीजा, कॉरिडोर पूरा बन ही नहीं पाया। शहर के दो इलाकों में कॉरिडोर बनाया गया, लेकिन उसे भी कुछ दूरी पर जाकर बीच में ही छोड़ दिया। नतीजा, 170 करोड़ रुपए से ज्यादा लागत से तैयार इस अधूरे प्रोजेक्ट ने लोगों के लिए परेशानी खड़ी कर दी। सीकर रोड पर बीआरटीएस कॉरिडोर बनने से अन्य वाहनों के आवागमन के लिए जगह कम बची। कई पॉइंट्स पर जाम की स्थिति बनी रहती है। सडक़ के एक छोर से दूसरे हिस्से की तरफ जाने के लिए लम्बी दूरी तय करनी पड़ रही। लोग रेलिंग तोडकऱ बीच में से गुजर रहे।

The Jaipur Metro is a rapid transit system in the city of Jaipur, Rajasthan, India.Construction on the mostly elevated part of the first line, called Phase 1A, comprising 9.63 kilometres (5.98 mi) of route from Mansarovar to Chandpole Bazaar,started in November 2010, and was completed in 2014. The Jaipur Metro began commercial service between Chandpole and Mansarovar on 3 June 2015. The Jaipur Metro Rail system is India's sixth metro rail system after those in Kolkata, Delhi, Bangalore, Gurugram and Mumbai. The Jaipur Metro is the first metro in India to run on triple-storey elevated road and metro track. Phase 1-B, from Chandpole to Badi Chaupar, began operation on 23 September 2020.
The metro railway was not required in Jaipur till 2025, said a Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) report on Rajasthan government’s performance during 2016-17. The report, which was tabled in the Rajasthan Assembly during the monsoon session on 5 September, indicted the state government for taking the decision in haste and failing to choose the appropriate technology for Jaipur Metro. The Jaipur Metro Railway Corporation (JMRC), seen as a ‘failed’ project, is struggling to meet operational expenses every year due to decreasing ridership. The performance of phase 1A of Jaipur Metro — started in June 2015 — was poor as the average ridership during the first 22 months was just 19.17 per cent of projected ridership. With operating revenue of Rs 18.87 crore, JMRC was unable to meet its operating expenses of Rs 85.56 crore for the first 22 months, said the report.

Jaipur BRTS
Jaipur Bus Rapid Transit Service (BRTS) is a modern rapid transport mode, proposed to solve the traffic problem in the city of Jaipur.
Overview
In August 2006, the Jaipur Bus Rapid Transit Service was approved by the Indian government for implementation. The responsibility for managing Jaipur BRTS has been given to JCSTL, a Special Purpose Vehicle formed by Jaipur Development Authority and Jaipur Nagar Nigam in a joint venture. The BRTS is expected to cater to city's growing traffic for next 15–20 years. In Phase I, two corridors have been proposed.
A section of North-South Corridor from C-Zone Bypass near Harmada to Pani Pech became operational in July 2010. The work on other section of North-South Corridor and East-West Corridor has commenced.
