Superior Court Judge James P gives his view point on the legalization of marijuana(Hemp) and points out how it would affect so many lives in a positive way, stop the drug cartells, stop the use of children as drug runners, empty our jails help our health etc etc etc.
With all the problems we have today marijuana use is pretty far down the line of importance, so why is so much time energy and resources put into keeping it illegal? These resources should be going into poverty, hunger, education and catching actual criminals.

In common law systems, a superior court is a court of general competence which typically has unlimited jurisdiction with regard to civil and criminal legal cases. A superior court is "superior" relative to a court with limited jurisdiction (see lower court), which is restricted to civil cases involving monetary amounts with a specific limit, or criminal cases involving offenses of a less serious nature. A superior court may hear appeals from lower courts (see court of appeal).
The term "superior court" has its origins in the English court system. The royal courts were the highest courts in the country, with what would now be termed supervisory jurisdiction over baronial and local courts. Decisions of those courts could be reviewed by the royal courts, as part of the Crown's role as the ultimate fountain of justice. The royal courts became known as the "superior courts", while lower courts whose decisions could be reviewed by the royal courts became known as "inferior courts". The decisions of the superior courts were not reviewable or appealable, unless an appeal was created by statute.

A startling courthouse security video leaked by a government whistleblower records the illegal 2009 assault and arrest of indigent, disabled pro per litigant and family court reform activist Robert Saunders. During a March 9, 2009 court hearing, Judge Matthew Gary ordered the self-represented Saunders arrested and jailed for contempt of court. Two outside, independent judges who later reviewed the incident determined that both the contempt charge and arrest were illegal. One of the two reviewing judges also issued an order removing Gary from the case for bias and violating state contempt law. The new video leak appears to reinforce the review findings, showing Saunders sitting passively at the courtroom counsel table until a painful "control hold" is applied to his arm by a deputy sheriff. When Saunders reacts to the pain, a wrestling match ensues until additional deputies arrive to subdue and apply handcuffs to the illegally arrested victim. The pro per is then shuffled off to the county jail through a rear exit in the courtroom. Saunders is 5' 8" tall, weighs 162 pounds, relies on a cane to walk, and, at the time of the arrest, was 57-years-old, according to the police report from the incident. Judge Matthew J. Gary has a long, documented history of bias and abuse of authority against financially disadvantaged litigants who cannot afford an attorney and are forced to represent themselves in court. A right-wing ideologue, Gary also reportedly despises what he refers to as the "entitlement mentality" of indigent court users who obtain fee waiver orders, which allow them to file court documents without paying filing fees. Most pro per litigants rely on fee waivers to ensure their access to the court. The California Commission on Judicial Performance and Director Victoria B. Henley have not disciplined or otherwise held Gary accountable for the misconduct against Saunders. The illegal arrest was witnessed by attorneys Richard Sokol (left foreground), and Elaine Van Beveren (off camera). Both attorneys also serve as temporary judges in the same court and under California law were required to report the misconduct by Judge Gary. Neither attorney reported the misconduct, and in subsequent proceedings in the same case before a different judge lied about the incident, portraying Saunders as being at fault. The State Bar of California and Chief Trial Counsel Jayne Kim have not disciplined or otherwise held either attorney accountable for the violations of state law. A Clayton County judge found probable cause to move criminal charges against #BlackLivesMatter #FYF911 revolutionist Latausha Nedd (known to some as Eye Empress Sekhmet) to Superior Court. Latausha Nedd is accused of threatening to harm POLICE and WHITE PEOPLE in videos posted on YouTube. A group of Nedd's supporters (less than the whole big 8 dumbasses who were at Stone Mountain for the #FYF911 movement) gathered outside the courthouse to call for her release. The group chanted "Free Latausha Nedd" and black power. Nedd's supporters thinks she's being unfairly prosecuted, but the Clayton County Judge Wanda Dallas doesn't agree. "Burn down police stations, take cops gun day. Really? That's not a threat to you?" Dallas asked. Attorney Gerald Griggs, who represents Nedd, says his client was defending herself from someone who threatened her. Griggs also says his client has a First Amendment right to say what she said. Dallas believes Nedd was not defending herself, and accused her of inflaming and inciting. "You show two police officers and say it's open season on killing cracker cops," Dallas said. "Does that fix the problems that we have in this country?" Nedd is also facing criminal charges for allegedly beating a friend's teenage daughter when she snuck out to see a boy. Nedd is being held without bond. On the heels of the successful "Divorce Court," "Superior Court" was among a wave of reality-based courtroom dramas released in the late 1980s. Both criminal and civil procedings were presented, with most cases involving shock value rather than routine cases. Examples of cases included a defendant tried for murdering another man, but the defendant claimed he saw the actual perpetrator in a dream; and a man who sued a financial institution after a banker swindled him out of $10 million.

A right-wing ideologue, Gary also reportedly despises what he refers to as the "entitlement mentality" of indigent court users who obtain fee waiver orders, which allow them to file court documents without paying filing fees. Most pro per litigants rely on fee waivers to ensure their access to the court. The California Commission on Judicial Performance and Director Victoria B. Henley have not disciplined or otherwise held Gary accountable for the misconduct against Saunders. The illegal arrest was witnessed by attorneys Richard Sokol (left foreground), and Elaine Van Beveren (off camera). Both attorneys also serve as temporary judges in the same court and under California law were required to report the misconduct by Judge Gary. Neither attorney reported the misconduct, and in subsequent proceedings in the same case before a different judge lied about the incident, portraying Saunders as being at fault. The restructuring included designating many SCBA Family Law Section lawyers as sworn temporary judges and delegating to the judge pro tem attorneys the job of running the family court settlement conference program. One objective of the settlement conference program arrangement is to significantly reduce the caseload, and workload of full-time judges by having private-sector lawyers – instead of judges or court staff – operate the program, and by using the attorneys to compel divorcing couples to settle without using the court services normally required to resolve a contested divorce. Under the quid pro quo agreement, in exchange for reducing the workload of judges and court staff the attorneys are provided various kickbacks, gratuities, or emoluments when representing clients in court, including “rubber-stamped” court orders and rulings, according to court reform advocates. Court watchdogs have documented that enterprise lawyers obtain a statistically impossible level of favorable outcomes in court, especially in cases where the opposing party is an unrepresented “pro per” party without a lawyer. The amount is payable by, among others, defendant Matthew Sheldon, who in 2013 pleaded guilty in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey to the same unlawful conduct. “This verdict is a victory for my clients,” said Sean Callagy of Callagy Law, who represented The Law Funder in the case. “While this does not represent a complete recovery for them, we will continue to pursue the payment due for the rest of Sheldon’s life so that he may repay some of what my clients have lost.” Sheldon is currently incarcerated and is serving a sentence of 30 months in prison after having pled guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud in 2013. He admitted to engaging in a kickback scheme that resulted in him and a number of other defendants being paid improper referral fees by the litigation funding company The Law Funder, LLC. Sheldon had served as an attorney and chief underwriter for The Law Funder of New York, a company that he co-founded in 2004 with three other individuals. His fraudulent activity began in 2005, when Sheldon started to work with a New Jersey broker to garner referral fees, which the two split. The fees collected amounted to at least $870,000 in profit for Sheldon. His indiscretions were uncovered in 2009 after The Law Funder had dismissed Sheldon. 2016-03-29 Ethics Complaint Hearing #1-3rd mtg - Cherie Kidd Panel Members are: -Retired Clallam County Superior Court Judge Grant Meiner was named the judicial representative. -Peninsula College instructor and retired county probation officer Danetta Rutten was chosen as the municipal representative. -Prep basketball official and retired Port Angeles High School teacher, coach and athletic director Frank Prince Jr. was named the citizen-at-large and is chairman of the panel. Mr Prince framed the arguments to the the city policies, specifically section ' J ' Ms Smith and Ms Kidd presented statements and witnesses to support their positions. Next meeting date will be released to news outlets. Deliberations will occur soon and hearing will reconvene to vote on decision.

On December 17th by a 4-3 council vote just a couple of weeks after the deal was made public included a half-cent sales tax increase to pay for the renovations and projected losses. Tee’d off citizen wanted the public to vote on the deal and sought to force the matter onto the ballot. On January 23rd, prominent attorney Bill Risner of Tucson filed a Statutory Special Action (Mandamus) against Defendant Julie K. Bower, Oro Valley Town Clerk, on behalf of Plaintiffs Debra Arrett and Shirley Lamonna in Pima County Superior Court. The stated reasons for rejection (of the referendum petitions) by Julie K. Bower, are based on non-substantive window dressing that she used to deny the fundamental constitutional right of referendum. A decision in the case could come as early as Tomorrow or Thursday. In Pima County Superior Court the Oro Valley referendum case No C20150346, brought by Plaintiffs Debra Arrett and Shirley Lamonna vs. Julie K. Bower, Oro Valley Town Clerk. The case was set before Judge Gus Aragon at 10:00 am on February 3, 2015 in Courtroom 814. A little Background on case: The citizen group “Tee’d Off Over Tax Hike in Oro Valley” filed 3,158 signatures on a referendum petition on January 15th— well over the minimum 1,148 signatures required — However, the group did not write a serial number on each petition sheet. Citizens began collecting signatures after the Town Council approved a deal to buy El Conquistador country club and golf courses. On December 17th by a 4-3 council vote just a couple of weeks after the deal was made public included a half-cent sales tax increase to pay for the renovations and projected losses. Tee’d off citizen wanted the public to vote on the deal and sought to force the matter onto the ballot. On January 23rd, prominent attorney Bill Risner of Tucson filed a Statutory Special Action (Mandamus) against Defendant Julie K. Bower, Oro Valley Town Clerk, on behalf of Plaintiffs Debra Arrett and Shirley Lamonna in Pima County Superior Court. The stated reasons for rejection (of the referendum petitions) by Julie K. Bower, are based on non-substantive window dressing that she used to deny the fundamental constitutional right of referendum.
