That's a Plenty (Rag or One Step) by Lew Pollack 1914
That's A Plenty (1914) by Lew Pollack is a 1920's Chicago Dixieland Standard. Chicago style traditional jazz, sometimes referred to in the Twenties as "Hot jazz" developed in Chicago, during the mid 1920's and was later spread to New York City. The Chicago jazz players took well-known jazz standard songs from the New Orleans Dixieland repertoire and played them "Chicago Style" which meant at a faster tempo and the combination of 2-beat to 4-beat, introducing the new Swing Jazz style in it's earliest form.
"That's a Plenty" is a 1914 ragtime piano piece composed by Lew Pollack. A number of popular vocal versions have been recorded, but the tune is more often performed as an instrumental. Television comedian Jackie Gleason used it regularly in his shows in the 1950s and 1960s.

Lew Pollack
Lew Pollack (June 16, 1895 – January 18, 1946) was a song composer active during the 1920s and the 1930s.
Pollack was born in New York. Among his best-known songs are "Charmaine" and "Diane" with Ernö Rapée, "Miss Annabelle Lee", "Two Cigarettes in the Dark", "At the Codfish Ball" (featured in the Shirley Temple movie "Captain January" with Buddy Ebsen, and later the title of a Mad Men television episode), and Go In and Out The Window, now a children's music standard. He also collaborated with Paul Francis Webster, Sidney Clare, Ned Washington and Jack Yellen, amongst others. In 1914 he wrote "That's a Plenty", a rag that became an enduring Dixieland standard. He died in Hollywood.
Recognition
Lew Pollack was elected to the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1970.
