From Jeff Lemlich’s book, “Savage Lost”: “Paul Revere & The Raiders lead singer Mark Lindsay teamed up with Steve Alaimo (then the musical director on “Where The Action Is”) and future Raiders bass player Keith Allison, in a side project they called the Unknowns. Their first single, a remake of the Raiders album track “Melody For An Unknown Girl”, reached #74 on the Hot 100 but did considerably better in Miami, peaking at #13 on WQAM and #25 on WFUN.
With both the Raiders and Allison signed to Columbia, and Alaimo signed to ABC, the guys had to keep their identities secret (thus, the Unknowns!) Here we had three regulars on a network music show with a nationally-charted song… that they could not promote!”
Another Raiders’ LP track, “Tighter” (from “Revolution”) appeared on 45 by the Unknowns on Marlin in 1967.
Sadly we lost Paul Revere last year. RIP Paul and thanks for the Raider music.

Melody
A melody (from Greek μελῳδία, melōidía, "singing, chanting"), also tune, voice, or line, is a linear succession of musical tones that the listener perceives as a single entity. Paul Revere (song)
"Paul Revere" is a song by American hip hop group Beastie Boys, released as the third single from their debut album Licensed to Ill (1986). It was written by Adam Horovitz, Joseph Simmons, Darryl McDaniels, and Rick Rubin. It was produced by Rick Rubin and the Beastie Boys. The song tells a fictional story of how the Beastie Boys met.
Adam Horovitz told how the song evolved from an incident when the Beastie Boys were waiting outside a recording studio for Run-D.M.C., when Joseph Simmons ("Run") suddenly came running down the street screaming incoherently. When he reached the Beastie Boys, he said "Here's a little story I got to tell...". After much confusion, Simmons stated "THAT's the song". The band worked on it from there.
In 2007, an artist called Kia Shine released a single called "Krispy" with a similar beat, raising questions about copyright infringement.

The song tells a fictional story of how Adrock, Mike D, and MCA first met. Adrock describes riding through the desert on a horse named Paul Revere (hence, the title of the song) with a quart of beer, on the run from the police. He runs into MCA, who asks him for a drink. When Adrock refuses, MCA pulls a gun on him and says, "You got two choices of what you can do...I can blow you away or you can ride with me." Adrock agrees, saying that he'll go if they can get to the border because "The sheriff's after me for what I did to his daughter".

In this sense, Schnittke's score is classic film music, efficiently appending itself to a plot through single symbolic device, and "sticking with it."
But at the same time, the seams in Schnittke's score show; the melody's stylized, fake-Tchaikovsky "Russian" pathos in its opening incarnation may strike some as impossibly sincere, its saccharine swagger and soaring scope mismatched to the banal manner of its construction; likewise, its style cannot eclipse its own pastiche-like stylization -- later on, when fake-Tchaikovsky becomes fake-Rachmaninov, the faking itself is brought to the foreground, to the surface.
In a sense, however, this quality in Schnittke's music (also endemic to his concert works) functions astonishingly well with the film at hand. Directed by Russian great Alexander Zarkhy, the film is fundamentally about disillusionment, the process of cracking the world of appearances and revealing the tragic depths. " Our unknown actor is a romantic in the best sense of word," Zarkhy admitted, but "romantic" is by no means an unambivalent term; as Schnittke's score demonstrates, romanticism is synonymous with an alienation between appearances and actualities, in which promising surfaces might at any time fall away to reveal terrible depths. The allegorical strength of such a vision couldn't have been lost on the Soviet intelligentsia of 1970s Russia."

Vocal trance is a subgenre of trance music that focuses on vocals and melodies. The sub-genre came into existence in the early 1990s, when trance was still developing. Although many early trance records used vocal samples mixed in with the beats, the earliest examples of the style appeared in 1992-93.
A typical track consists of three elements, though later tracks labeled vocal trance may not include all of them. A track begins with an intro of progressive beats. The melodic part starts incrementally, combining vocals, usually female, a melodic sound (for the most part high pitched and fast), and a bass pattern. Towards the end of the track, the melody fades out and the intro rhythm returns, usually with some minor changes.
Vocal trance producers frequently make use of session musicians, particularly females, for vocals on their tracks. Session vocalists have been featured on tracks that span different genres and sub genres, while some vocalists have chosen to work only within the electronic club and dance music genres.
Vocal trance was popular in Europe, notably Germany, Austria, Sweden, Netherlands, Belgium and Great Britain.

The Floating City Platina is under attack by unknown viruses. Leard Barsett, the current commander asks the Knights of Elemia for an inform of the situation, but the knights are confused and unable to report any information due to the virus' unknown characteristics. Lyner and Shurelia, accompanied by another Knight of Elemia called Ayatane Michitaka, head to the Symphonic Reactor, and witness the virus ELMA-DS creating havoc from inside the center of the facility. They attempt at combating it, but end being powerless due to the virus' ability to use Flip-Flop Conversion, which allows it to become impervious to attacks. Due to this, Lyner and Shurelia are forced to run away while Ayatane stalls the virus. Then, Shurelia explains to Lyner about the Hymn Crystals, and gives him a task: go to the Lower World and find the Hymn Crystal Purger, which is the only thing that could defeat the virus. Shurelia then leads him to the Gather, Platina's airport, and after giving him an Hymn Brooch to serve as a reference for him in his search, Lyner departs for the Wings of Horus. However, shortly after the airship took off, Lyner was shot down by the demon of the Blastline, a dragon called Sleipnir. Lyner crashes into the Viola Forest, in the Wings of Horus, gets ejected from his airship, and is left on the brink of death. However, he was saved by a Reyvateil who witnessed his airship crashing, called Aurica Nestmile, and after secretly healing him with her Song Magic, she ran off. Lyner then woke up, faintly remembering that someone saved him, and after making sure he still had the Hymn Brooch, he ran off to see if he could find the remains of his airship. He managed to find it, but to his dismay, someone else was trying to see if the airship could be sold off as scrap. Lyner berated the unknown man, and after he rudely told him that anyone who found it would keep it, he went off. Lyner got disappointed that the rumors about the rudeness of the Lower World people were true, and then he began going off in the direction of the nearest town...

Deep house is known for complex melody, use of unrelated chromatic chords underlying most sequences, and a soul, ambient, or lounge vibe to the vocals (if any). In the early compositions (1988–89), influences of jazz music were most frequently brought out by using more complex chords than simple triads (7ths, 9ths, 13ths, suspensions, alterations) which are held for many bars and give compositions a slightly dissonant feel. The use of vocals became more common in deep house than in many other forms of house music. Sonic qualities include soulful vocals (if vocals are included), slow and concentrated dissonant melodies, and a smooth, stylish, and chic demeanor. The use of women's vocals is more common than male's in deep house tracks. Deep house music rarely reaches a climax, but lingers on as a comfortable, relaxing sound.
