Finally got my hands on the new Apple Pencil, and have decided to put it to the test. In this first video of "Artistic Art Battles of Artismia." Three rounds of traditional still life drawing exercises (30 minutes or less), using paper and a pencil, and Paper (By 53) on an iPad and a Pencil (By Apple). Easy tutorial of DIY school supplies – how to make pencil cases in a shape of different fruits. All you will need is plastic folder, glue, shoelaces (or old T-shirt) and zipper (not necessary).
I chose 4 colors of plastic file folders – green (my favorite), yellow, orange and pink. Therefore I made green kiwi pencil case, yellow lemon, orange orange (lol) and pink watermelon.
#1 - The Lemon Pencil Case is the easiest one.
I took folder with a clip so did not have to attach other fastener. For this type of DIY pencil case you will need a plate (round), a pencil, scissors, stapler (or hot glue), flat shoelace (salad or yellow), sheet of paper, a piece of kitchen sponge and white nail polish.
#2 – The Watermelon Slice Pencil Case.
This is my favourite! Although it is the hardest one. But EASY anyway. You will need a pink plastic file folder, old t-shirt (white), double-sided tape, green gouache, glue gun, zipper (green), black and white permanent markers.
I suggest to use old T-shirt because it's a great substitute for shoelaces. But you can use whatever you want. If you decided to cut your t-shirt – here is a measurements: 4 strips - length about 40 cm (depends on cases' size), width 5 cm EACH.
I love to paint with gouaches on clothes. Yes, better not to wet it after dry, but for accessories (such as pencil case is) it is perfect. Sure, you can use clothes dye or just cut two t-shirts (green and white).
#3 – The Kiwi Slice Pencil Case.
Awesome green! Almost the same way as Watermelon Case, but with a flat salad shoelace. My boyfriend said it would be useful for someone to watch how to draw kiwifruit – so now you have this opportunity :)
#0 – The Orange Pencil Case.
I did not show how to make it only because it is a combination of Lemon Pencil Case (I mean drawing slices with stencils and nail polish), Watermelon Pencil Case (zipper) and Kiwi Pencil Case (shoelace).
Make any fruit of any color! Create, experiment, succeed!

A pencil is a writing implement or art medium usually constructed of a narrow, solid pigment core inside a protective casing. The case prevents the core from breaking, and also from marking the user’s hand during use.
Pencils create marks via physical abrasion, leaving behind a trail of solid core material that adheres to a sheet of paper or other surface. They are noticeably distinct from pens, which dispense liquid or gel ink that stain the light colour of the paper.
Most pencil cores are made of graphite mixed with a clay binder, leaving grey or black marks that can be easily erased. Graphite pencils are used for both writing and drawing, and the result is durable: although writing can usually be removed with an eraser, it is resistant to moisture, most chemicals, ultraviolet radiation and natural ageing. Other types of pencil core are less widely used. Charcoal pencils are mainly used by artists for drawing and sketching. Coloured pencils are sometimes used by teachers or editors to correct submitted texts but are more usually regarded as art supplies, especially those with waxy core binders that tend to smear on paper instead of erasing. Grease pencils have a softer crayon-like waxy core that can leave marks on smooth surfaces such as glass or porcelain.

DIY Pencil Cases FRUITS (Watermelon, Lemon, Kiwifruit) – NO SEW DIY School Supplies
Easy tutorial of DIY school supplies – how to make pencil cases in a shape of different fruits. All you will need is plastic folder, glue, shoelaces (or old T-shirt) and zipper (not necessary). I chose 4 colors of plastic file folders – green (my favorite), yellow, orange and pink. Therefore I made green kiwi pencil case, yellow lemon, orange orange (lol) and pink watermelon. #1 - The Lemon Pencil Case is the easiest one. I took folder with a clip so did not have to attach other fastener. For this type of DIY pencil case you will need a plate (round), a pencil, scissors, stapler (or hot glue), flat shoelace (salad or yellow), sheet of paper, a piece of kitchen sponge and white nail polish. #2 – The Watermelon Slice Pencil Case. Easy tutorial of DIY school supplies – how to make pencil cases in a shape of different fruits. All you will need is plastic folder, glue, shoelaces (or old T-shirt) and zipper (not necessary).
I chose 4 colors of plastic file folders – green (my favorite), yellow, orange and pink. Therefore I made green kiwi pencil case, yellow lemon, orange orange (lol) and pink watermelon.
#1 - The Lemon Pencil Case is the easiest one.
I took folder with a clip so did not have to attach other fastener. For this type of DIY pencil case you will need a plate (round), a pencil, scissors, stapler (or hot glue), flat shoelace (salad or yellow), sheet of paper, a piece of kitchen sponge and white nail polish.
#2 – The Watermelon Slice Pencil Case.

I suggest to use old T-shirt because it's a great substitute for shoelaces. But you can use whatever you want. If you decided to cut your t-shirt – here is a measurements: 4 strips - length about 40 cm (depends on cases' size), width 5 cm EACH.
I love to paint with gouaches on clothes. Yes, better not to wet it after dry, but for accessories (such as pencil case is) it is perfect. Sure, you can use clothes dye or just cut two t-shirts (green and white).
#3 – The Kiwi Slice Pencil Case.

Easy tutorial of DIY school supplies – how to make pencil cases in a shape of different fruits. All you will need is plastic folder, glue, shoelaces (or old T-shirt) and zipper (not necessary).
I chose 4 colors of plastic file folders – green (my favorite), yellow, orange and pink. Therefore I made green kiwi pencil case, yellow lemon, orange orange (lol) and pink watermelon.
#1 - The Lemon Pencil Case is the easiest one.
I took folder with a clip so did not have to attach other fastener. For this type of DIY pencil case you will need a plate (round), a pencil, scissors, stapler (or hot glue), flat shoelace (salad or yellow), sheet of paper, a piece of kitchen sponge and white nail polish.
#2 – The Watermelon Slice Pencil Case.

This is a technique that was invented by a ukranian successful makeup artist and it is a big deal all around Eastern Europe. No surprise there! It is amazing and so useful. New Prima Watercolor Pencil Review and Tutorial
Today I am using the new Prima watercolor pencils for the first time! They came from Hallmark Scrapbook: http://hallmarkscrapbook.com/?aff=4
The pencils are wonderful but you should know that there are duplicate colors from set to set. I will post color swatches on my blog http://thefrugalcrafter.wordpress.com soon! Here I will list the sets that I demonstrated and their colors:
Earth Tones: 03, 88, 86, 89, 94, 107, 109, 111, 114, 117, 119, 120
Soft Neutrals: 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09, 87, 88, 113
Spring and Fall: 01, 03, 08, 21, 26, 30, 34, 52, 58, 90, 97, 119
The Basics: 01, 16, 22, 25, 32, 44, 47, 64, 71, 80, 91, 120
The following sets I do not have.
Scenic Route: 05, 07, 09, 113, 88, 84, 61, 50, 54, 62, 58, 120
Julie Nutting Skin Tones: 101 102 90 89 86 09 05 16 08 91 95 120 (thanks Rebecca and saltlakerenee!)
The Prima watercolor pencils are grouped in pleasing, fashionable colors that are coordinated within the sets. My favorite set is the basics but all of the sets are lovely. The soft neutrals and Earth Tones have many colors for painting people and animals and the spring and Fall set would be nice for landscape coloring. These pencil sets are probably most useful to rubber stampers because of the color groupings. I think you would have a really comprehensive set with skin/hair tones, basics and scenic route without too many duplicates. Their is a lot of overlap between the skin tones and the neutral and earth tones. I with they had a list of the colors on the package so it would be easier to tell.
I really like the pencils, the colors released quickly and blended well. The Prima waterbrushed were good too, both come in a set for $7. The pencils are $12.99 but Hallmark scrapbook has them for $10.99 making them about half the price of comprable watercolor pencils so I guess having some duplicates is a small price to pay. I wish I had the scenic route set because there were 6 unique colors in that that were not in the 4 sets I have. I recommend that beginners start with the basics and skin/hair tone set and see how they like them. They are very easy to use. Also they work best on watercolor paper and I had demonstrated on that.

Hey beauties! I tried to gather as much info as I could about this superb technique and put it together into this video demo. This is a technique that was invented by a ukranian successful makeup artist and it is a big deal all around Eastern Europe. No surprise there! It is amazing and so useful. Especially if you are a self taught like myself. It's considered a correctional technique so it is based on your natural eye shape and lines ,and is intended to flatter your natural beauty, bringing out the nice parts and hiding imperfections. When I tried it for the first time i was so pleasantly surprised because ,you know what they say, ''There are no rules in makeup'' and I totally agree with that but girl...if you follow the steps to this technique you will be as surprised as I was! Besides, after a few times of using it I really started understanding my eye shape and that led to creating other techniques that flattered my eye shape. It is all about precision, you have the wheel you control everything. So definitely give it a try!
Steps:
1. Use foundation/primer and powder over it.
2. Apply matte white eyeshadow all over the eyelids
3. Apply pearl loose eyeshadow powder on blending areas: brow bone, under outer edge and connect forming a half circle.
4. Create the ''frame'' of your eye makeup in pencil/brush. Follow the order explained in the tutorial.
5. Cover the pencil by matte dark eyeshadow (brown,black,dark grey,darker purple...)
6. Complete the look by filling in the colors that you choose.
Everything else is optional and absolutely up to ones tastes and likes. Falsies, mascara color, glitter, shimmer, eyeliner, no eyeliner...whatever makes you happy :)
Follow these easy but a little time consuming steps and be amazed!
Tips: find the right pencil and when you do share with me :)
Use good quality eyeshadow. If your eyeshadow will not stick on top of the white matte one that you applied in step 2 then your whole look will be ruined.
Use pearl loose powder to clean up if you went over board with eyeshadow.

I've seen Zyra and Baylee do the challenge so i figured it was about time lol !
I did this video in english and french too cause i explain and talk about a lot of stuff so it will be easier for everyone to understand (or least french and english audience)
I didn't do a voiceover on the drawing because i wanted to directly speak to you, i think the drawin is pretty selft explanatory since you're seeing what i do and like, how i lay colors and struggle with nibs breaking lol !

I've seen Zyra and Baylee do the challenge so i figured it was about time lol !
I did this video in english and french too cause i explain and talk about a lot of stuff so it will be easier for everyone to understand (or least french and english audience)
I didn't do a voiceover on the drawing because i wanted to directly speak to you, i think the drawin is pretty selft explanatory since you're seeing what i do and like, how i lay colors and struggle with nibs breaking lol !
This was a fun challenge ! i'm gonna do more :D

• Staedler old colored pencils, i don't know the product name cause it's not written but i think it's similar to the noris club but it's an older version.
