T-Shirt (song)

"T-Shirt" is the first solo single released by Barbadian singer Shontelle from her album Shontelligence (2008). It is her second official single following the release of 2007's "Roll It" which was released only in select European countries. A remix, featuring The-Dream, is included on her second album, No Gravity (2010). The single peaked at number thirty six on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States, but peaked within the top ten of the charts in Belgium and the United Kingdom. In the latter country, "T-Shirt" was certified silver by the British Phonographic Industry.

Release and promotion

"T-Shirt" was sent to Mainstream Top 40 radio stations on July 15, 2008. Shontelle and her label gave artists a chance to release their own remixed version of the song, which was to be serviced to DJs with the winner promoted as a featured artist.

Speaking in February 2009 to noted British R&B writer Pete Lewis of Blues & Soul, Shontelle explained the significance to her of the song: "I really like 'T-Shirt' a lot because, when you listen to the song, there's a lot of elements in there that will definitely appeal to girls. Like even the strongest women at some point can have that guy in their life who, if for some reason you can't be with him, is gonna have that effect on you where you're not gonna feel like going out, hanging out with your girlfriends, partying, or doing ANYTHING. And, if you do miss that person, the best thing to have of theirs is a T-shirt! Because it usually smells like them and you can put it on, curl up with it - and kinda pretend the person is THERE!"

T-Shirt (Thomas Rhett song)

"T-Shirt" is a song recorded by American country music artist Thomas Rhett. It will be released on February 16, 2016 via Valory Music Group as the third single from his second studio album, Tangled Up. The song was written by Ashley Gorley, Luke Laird, and Shane McAnally.

Background

Before the release of Tangled Up in 2015, Rhett had been performing the song live as early as November 2013.

Critical reception

Website Taste of Country reviewed the song favorably, saying that "With “T-Shirt,” Thomas Rhett again proves that nobody sings young love better than he does. Every single love song he’s released from his first two albums recalls a honeymooner’s excitement. The lascivious tension is palpable."

Challenge (2009 film)

Challenge is a 2009 Bengali romantic comedy directed by Raj Chakraborty. The film starres Dev and Subhashree Ganguly.The film is partially based on the Tamil film Kuthu which stars Silambarasan and Divya Spandana in lead roles. And it is an official remake of the Telugu film Bunny. For few scenes and music-video's, shooting was done in Dubai, Australia and New Zealand. The blockbuster film Challenge 2 isn't a sequel to Challenge and has a totally different story.

Plot

It is a romantic comedy film. Subhasree Ganguly portrays a girl with an extremely conservative/obsessive father. Her father just can't tolelate any other guy looking at his daughter face to face. He can not accept any boy who tries to be friend with his daughter. He terrifies, beats everybody to protect his daughter. Pooja Subhasree Ganguly in the film also loves her dad but at the same time dreams about someone capable enough to challenge her dad. Who can really fight her dad for her. Here comes our hero Abhir Dev to save and romance Pooja. Challenge is a stunning love story. In the fear of Pooja's boyfriend, her father sends her to his father-in-law's home. But at last, the couples get married and after some years they had a son.

Challenge (competition)

A challenge is a request made to the holder of a competitive title for a match between champion and challenger, the winner of which will acquire or retain the title. In some cases the champion has the right to refuse a challenge; in others, this results in forfeiting the title. The challenge system derives from duelling and its code of honour. While many competitive sports use some form of tournament to determine champions, a challenge match is the normal way of deciding professional boxing titles and the World Chess Championship. Some racket sports clubs have a reigning champion who may be challenged by any other club member; a ladder tournament extends the challenge concept to all players, not just the reigning champion. At élite-level competition, there is usually some governing body which authorises and regulates challenges, such as FIDE in chess. In some cases there is a challengers' tournament, the winner of which gains the right to play the challenge round against the reigning champion; in tennis this was the case at Wimbledon until 1922 and in the Davis Cup until 1972. Challenge (1933)

Challenge was a tabloid-sized monthly newspaper established in Chicago in April 1933 which served as the official organ of the Young People's Socialist League, youth section of the Socialist Party of America. The publication was subsequently renamed The Challenge of Youth and continued in existence through 1946.

Establishment

The decision to launch a new official newspaper of the Young People's Socialist League (YPSL) was made at the 1932 National Convention of the YPSL. In April 1933, this publication was launched, a 4-page tabloid called The Challenge. Throughout its first year, the publication campaigned against the threat of international war, fascism, child labor, and deficiencies in the American education system and lobbied on behalf of efforts to politically organize unemployed workers and to expand the trade union movement.

The first issue of The Challenge featured a lengthy masthead, including Arthur G. McDowell as Editor, James Quick, Bob Parker, Jack Jaffe, Aaron Levenstein, and Paul Rasmussen as Associate Editors, Hy Fish as Business Manager, and a Socialist Party all-star list including Norman Thomas, Powers Hapgood, Upton Sinclair, and Oscar Ameringer as "Contributing Editors."

Frozen (House)

"Frozen" is the eleventh episode of the fourth season of House and the eighty-first episode overall. It aired on February 3, 2008, following Super Bowl XLII; it attracted slightly more than 29 million viewers, making it the highest rated House episode of the entire series. It was ranked third for the week, tied with that week's episode of American Idol (also on Fox) and outranked only by the Super Bowl game and the Super Bowl post-game show.

House became the first dramatic TV series to be the lead-out program of a Fox-aired Super Bowl since The X-Files following Super Bowl XXXI. This is the second episode of the show to have an Academy Award winner as a guest star – Mira Sorvino (the first one was Informed Consent with Joel Grey).

Plot

Psychiatrist Cate Milton (Mira Sorvino), collapses and vomits in the middle of Antarctica. House is asked to examine her through a webcam. Possible causes are struvite kidney stone and urinary tract infection, caused by frequent sexual intercourse. Foreman suspects cancer after her right lung nearly collapses.

Frozen (Within Temptation song)

"Frozen" is the third single from the Within Temptation album The Heart of Everything (2007). The single was released in Europe on June 11, 2007. The song and the video both deal with the issue of domestic and child abuse. The band donated the income they receive from Sony/BMG for the “Frozen” single to the Child Helpline International. In the UK, the song "The Howling" was chosen for the second single, available as a digital download only. The Frozen single contains single versions of both these songs.

Background

The song deals with the subject of domestic and child abuse. On their Web site, the band explained they wanted to raise awareness about "a subject that [they] feel is not discussed in public enough." Lead vocalist Sharon den Adel stated during an interview that she got the inspiration for writing the lyrics by her newly experiencie as a mother. The idea of making it a single and a music video came after, as the band found important to deal with a subject as that in a real and honest way. After choosing the song as a single, the band then approached the Child Helpline International as they felt the need to make something extra with the single sales while considering the subjetc in question.
