Levan Gabriadze

Levan "Leo" Gabriadze (Georgian: ლევან რევაზის ძე გაბრიაძე, Levan Revazis dze Gabriadze; Russian: Лева́н Рева́зович Габриа́дзе, Levan Revazovich Gabriadze; born 16 November 1969) is a Georgian-Russian actor and film director.

Biography

Gabriadze was born in Tbilisi, then part of the Soviet Georgia. His father, Revaz Gabriadze, is an actor, writer and director. By 12, Leo was already working in his father's productions.

Unfriended

Unfriended is a 2014 American found footage supernatural horror film directed by Russo-Georgian director Levan Gabriadze, written by Nelson Greaves, exec-produced by Jason Blum, co-produced by Adam Sidman, and produced by Timur Bekmambetov and Greaves.

The film premiered at the Fantasia Festival on July 20, 2014, and at SXSW on March 13, 2015. It received a theatrical release on April 17, 2015. The film, which is told entirely through a high school student's Macbook screen, stars Shelley Hennig as one of several friends who find themselves terrorized online by an anonymous person. The film received mixed to positive reviews from critics and has grossed $64 million against a $1 million budget.

A sequel to the film has been greenlit and is in development.

Plot

When a humiliating video of Fresno, California high school student Laura Barns (Heather Sossaman) is uploaded to YouTube, causing her to endure widespread mockery and ridicule, she promptly commits suicide.

A year later, her closest friend, Blaire Lily (Shelley Hennig), views a LiveLeak video of Laura's suicide - where she is seen pointing a gun to her head and shooting herself, despite nearby students begging her to stop. Blaire is then contacted over Skype by her boyfriend Mitch Roussel (Moses Jacob Storm). Both are joined by their classmates Jess Felton (Renee Olstead), Ken Smith (Jacob Wysocki), and Adam Sewell (Will Peltz). During their conversation, however, they notice a random user dubbed "billie227" in their chat, who was not invited in by any of the participants.

Shelley Hennig

Shelley Catherine Hennig (born January 2, 1987) is an American model, actress and beauty pageant titleholder who held the Miss Teen USA 2004 title. She played Stephanie Johnson on Days of Our Lives and starred in the CW series The Secret Circle as Diana Meade. She currently plays the character Malia Tate in Teen Wolf. Hennig also starred in horror films Ouija as Debbie, and Unfriended as Blaire.

Early life and pageants

Hennig is originally from St. Rose, Louisiana and then later lived in Destrehan, Louisiana. She is the daughter of Cathy Distefano Gosset and Glenn H. Hennig, Sr. She won the Miss Louisiana Teen USA 2004 in a state pageant held in Lafayette, Louisiana, in November 2003. This was the first time that she competed in the state pageant. In August, Hennig represented Louisiana in the Miss Teen USA 2004 pageant held in Palm Springs, California. She won the Miss Teen USA title, becoming the first winner from Louisiana and the first girl from Louisiana to win a national title since Ali Landry was Miss USA 1996. Her Miss Teen USA winnings included a one year modeling contract, with Trump Modeling Management, and a scholarship to The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts.

Will Peltz

William "Will" Peltz is an American actor known for his roles in Unfriended and Men, Women & Children.

Life and career

Will Peltz was born in New York City, as the fourth child of businessman Nelson Peltz. He has seven siblings and two half-siblings from his father's previous marriages. Among his siblings are actress Nicola Peltz and ice hockey defenceman Brad Peltz.

Peltz played ice hockey in his youth and was member of the New Jersey Hitmen. He became interested in acting while reading scripts with his sister Nicola. In 2009, he moved to Los Angeles and secured his first roles in film productions. In 2014, he had his first major role in Jason Reitman's drama Men, Women & Children. That same year, he starred in the horror film Unfriended as Adam Sewell.
